Are forums fun for you?
Does anyone else just enjoy looking through all the posts of constant complaining and arguing? I havnt been on the forums long, but damn this Ruin business has turned the forums into a complete s**t show lol I know it's not the most friendly place, but ruin seems to be triggering issue for many. π its 4.30am and I cant sleep, it generally just keeps me entertained reading while I lay here awake doing nothing.

I like going through the forums for multiple reasons. Some of complaining/arguing is hilarious to read, some of the topics are interesting and get you thinking and I also like to keep up with whats happening in the game itself with new updates and such.

Yeah I have fun
I've been playing the game for a long time and it's nice to argue with the most toxic entitled community of all time
I enjoy the layout and reading patch notes at least.
And all the community art and make up your own killers are interesting and fun

Granted the ruin nerf has been a bit more exciteable, every patch with updates this happens. The nurse change was nearly as bad. Freddy rework had a lot of activity. The DS change had many up in arms. The screams about MoM I honestly think were worse than Ruin. The next patch/rework/nerf, this will happen again.

I have made 124 in 2 months. Yes they are fun and I love getting people's reactions. I plan on passing the 1000 discussion in 5 months :D
But I don't wanna rush it :3

Nope. I hate all the toxicity. i have to believe that anyone that enjoys the toxicity, is likely pretty toxic themselves.

Sure, otherwise the counter next to my name wouldn't be so high.

I find the forums quite annoying to be honest. There are pretty much 3 types on here:
1. People who only play killer - These ######### and moan about every single thing a survivor has. Example(s) - Borrowed time should only last 3 seconds, if a survivor uses Decisive Strike they should be banned. Tru3 told me survivors were the power role and now I'll just keep spouting that because a team of survivors beat me.
2. People who only play Survivor - These ######### and moan about every single thing a killer has. Example(s) - NOED is OP and should be removed from the game. The Spirit killed me in 2 games in a row, she needs nerfing.
3. People who play both sides - Generally try and defend certain things in the posts done by the 2 categories above. Realise it is a waste of time and then leave.

Sure, I suppose.
The forums would be even more fun if I could post the memes I wanted to.

Yeah I have been doing that keeping up to date with the game changes ect, as I have just noticed that the devs don't bother with their weekly streams anymore, the last stream was like a month ago.

Ah I don't own ash, so I didn't know anything about MoM, hell I only learned what MoM stands for about 2 months ago lol so I was never on the forums to read about it, I still not 100% clear on the perk, all I know it's you need to take alot of smacks from killer lol

Well your wrong, I'm not toxic, I'm not on here causing arguments over a game, I don't like it because its toxic, I just find it funny because of how ridiculous people act on here, with their arguments, I would actual like it to not be a total s**t show

I think its funny watching the complaint threads pop up. You can tell who doesn't want training wheels taken off or those who "refuse to spend money" are or those who just think the entire dev team owes them something specifically.
The game continues to improve and get better. The forums are a great indicator of that.

It's fun, but to really enjoy it, you need to get stuck in and have a bit of a moan about something, or go the other way and defend something.
I'm thoroughly enjoying defending the Ruin change. There aren't many of us here, but as a killer main, I'm used to being outnumbered and having people saying unpleasant things to me.

This forum is filled with people who seem to devote their lives to DBD and any change they don't like is considered a personal attack by the devs. It's very cringey.

Because ruin is not a simple change, it destroys the gameplay for almost all killers, that have no map pressure whatsoever. Toxic behaviour will even more common in games now, that's exactly how people react, when they feel scammed.

Did I mention Ruin in my post? No.

@mylesmylo - See. Fun!

In general yes. I like Forums in general, I have thousands of posts in many Forums and participate in them (as long as I am not banned in them :P ).
When it comes to the DBD Forum, I do a lot more reading than commenting, but it is a little bit draining lately because of the Ruin-Change, so many crybabies started to open a topic, because everyone thought that his opinion is worth enough to open a separate Thread.
And all of them have the same thing in Common: Just wait and do a constructive opinion when you waited long enough to build one. And not write a post with tears in your eyes how unfair BHVR and the world is to you.
(I really hope that some people apologize to the Devs when they find out that the changes are not as drastic as they thought they would be)

I barely play the game anymore yet I still frequent the forums every day or so.

I don't ever use ruin, I'm not really bothered by the change as ruin is something I have learned to do without

I do wish they would revisit their forum policies as they seem too strict for a mature 17+ video game in my opinion.

It used to be fun. Nowadays (most of the time) it's just a huge ball of negativity not worth spending my time on.
