Devour Hope shouldn’t punish your ability to pip.
For back story on why I’m making this thread, I was playing Wraith on The Game and I got five stacks with Devour Hope, I mori’d everyone with it, I got a bare safety pip (at least it wasn’t a de-pip, I guess.)
Why are people punished for getting Devour Hope to work? I get that I didn’t get nine hooks but still, using a perk shouldn’t hurt your chances at getting a pip imo.

It’s a really fun perk but god I wish it didn’t hurt my emblems. 😅

It was The Game to be fair, I played on Blood Lodge the game before and Devour Hope got cleansed immediately.

If you are able to kill someone with a perk, you should get all the remaining devout and malicious points from the survivor you killed via mori.
So, if you killed your Obsession who haven't gotten hooked, killing them with Rancor will give you 3 hooks worth of emblem points and 15% of your malicious category will be filled by emblem points.

there are sooo many things that shouldnt punish you, yet they do.
Devour Hope is just one of them, other big ones would be DCs and hook suicides.
but yeah, i doubt there are going to be fixes soon... :/

I’d just like to bring extra awareness to certain things though, I have faith that it can get changed.
