Im actually loving doctor.
Been playing whispers survelliance new ruin and bbq (want to find a replacement for bbq maybe put on m and a so i can do the aoe shock while in chase since my tr will be bigger or would distressing be better?) But yeah hes definitely easier to handle and im impressed with new lerys. Whats your guys's thoughts so far?

Would love to comment but i'm too busy playing lobby simulator in my newfound role of survivor main :D

If you needed Ruin to win, Killer probably wasn't your way to go anyway.

Does unnerving presence and distressing still work for the doctor?
0 -
M&A, when combined with Calm addons adds a lot of stealth capability to the Doc while on cooldown and still gives a huge radius for Static Blast. Its pretty effective.
Distressing increases his terror radius at all times. You can use it for higher radius especially if you aren't using Calm addons.
Yeah, Doctors skill checks are mostly the same. With the Snap Out of It changes and the new Static Blast, survivors will be in Tier 3 much more often, so Unnerving will have a bigger effect on Snap Out of It skill checks as well.

Sorry i don't ever remember writing that i used ruin? but hey, appreciate you jumping to assumptions!
11 -
I thought you can avoid skill checks by tapping it?

Sorry that you don't write your reason why you changed roles, I'm going off of what most of the whiny people here! "I'm changing to survivor because of Ruin, or using NOED" blah blah blah.

During times when you use Static Blast for tiering up madness and not for tracking, M&A is actually pretty good. When the game starts, I find the first person and begin a chase with them before immediately using Static Blast. The reduced TR allows you to get within 24 meters of them before they hear you, then your TR jumps up to 40 meters and you instantly get everyone in the match to tier 1, 2 if using an order add-on.
The downside though is that it is harder to use your Blast for tracking. If you mostly use Blast for finding survivors then Distressing is much better.

Lobby times are the same across the board, let's not start spreading a false narrative unless it actually happens.
3 -
Clearly not when other threads are stating they have fast queue times?

I've encountered a sound bug when playing as doctor, when gens pop the sound seems to cut out. Anybody else experienced this?

How does the new Shock cooldown feel?
0 -
Smoother but the delay of the survivors reacting to the shock is just as awful.
6 -
If you needed to work on gens to win, survivor probably wasn't your way to go anyway.
2 -
"I can finally shock you from the other side of the map! NOBODY CAN STOP ME NOW!"
2 -
Ok. Does that mean that the devs never fixed the shock delay bug or that they did and it still feels terrible?
0 -
Considering you get a speed delay when shocking I don't think there should be a cooldown after. What's the reasoning for this. It's not strong and doesn't deny a pallet in the same way Huntress can.
1 -
Almo already answered, but they fixed it and it still feels terrible.
1 -
You're comparing a game mechanic to a perk? Pathetic.
A perk has nothing to do with a game mechanic.
I don't use Ruin and I still win.

This version of Doc has a ton of potential. Very much looking forward to playing with the new Shock Therapy cooldown. I suspect he's going to be a solid B tier now.

To expand, 1 second for the charge to hit, then an additional 1.5 second cooldown after the blast goes off until the doctor can do anything else. Survivors get a delay of 2.5 seconds after the blast where they can't vault or interact with pallets. So you have 1 second exactly to predict their actions and stop them.

I'm still getting used to it but I do like the changes. I just wish I could practice in peace without being thrown into a match with survivors several ranks higher than me.

Didn't played something else today, real fun. 4K'ed every match (If you don't consider giving hatch an escape).
Devs, don't nerf him, never

Alittle off topic but does the iridescent queen apply the iridescent king to other survivors? With the static charge or whatever?
0 -
It was bad in its original form. Not sure why you go to the trouble of updating Doctor but not address his shock ability. Shocking survivors does nothing. They can still mash pallets down after being shocked. Utterly stupid.

I'm not enjoying playing against him very much, because the ones I've gone against all do the same thing. They proxy camp the hook so damn bad, I've gone second state every time first hook.

Well imagine that. The day Doc becomes a useful killer and I don’t feel like I’m going to get slaughtered by red ranks while using him.
Only tried him a little bit so far but he seems miles better than before. Not having to change stances feels so much better and I’m getting survivors easier at pallets than before. I had blood lodge too so I was quite impressed.
The static blast is ridiculously good. Great for pressuring all survivors at once when they’re huddled up, or using it to find people that urban evade and go immersed as if you’re dumb enough to believe that the gen had just been repairing itself.
Trying to get a game against him as survivor but so far I’ve only had a camping Wraith. Nice to see some players are falling back onto old tactics after the Ruin nerf.

Me too. He is much more fun to play as and against. His Add Ons make him even better and I love using my Static Blast on my Dark Devotion Obsession across the map.

So I have to kick generators to apply unevering presence and distressing now? Amazing change 10/10
0 -
So impossible skill check doctor will still be an annoyance. Nice
0 -
Okay cause i was wondering on how static blast will effect distressing
0 -
Haven't played him as killer yet but I really got scared of the blast while playing survivor and I love it! Gives me a reason to be scared again (for a while) :p

Doctor is actually pretty viable now and fun to play it just feels so much smoother and easier to shock someone before they drop pallet/vault window. Also the new add-on Iri Queen is pretty good since you will know if someone is getting saved before they do it or if they are about to heal someone. Must say pretty good rework so far.

The funnier question is how Static Blast is affected by Dark Devotion.
0 -
I haven't thought about that until now.
0 -
I haven't had a chance to try it in live but the couple times I got it going in PTB it seemed like the Static Blast came from the Obsession but didn't seem to effect the Obsession themselves (I don't recall them screaming).
Though I think the Terror Radius is reduced. Iirc Dark Devotion gives the Obsession a 32 Merry radius no matter what, or do TR perks effect it?
1 -
You can. Not exactly fast but if survivors are having trouble with the even easier Snap Out of It skill checks then they can just tap it to full (That is the only problem I have with Doctor though, the rest of his power is great.)

Whispers Tier 2 + Distressing Tier 3 + Restraint 3 or 4 + Iridescent Queen = nuke :D
His buff is so nice that I may quit playing Hag.
0 -
Dark devotion will still be 32 meters no matter what.
0 -
I was a doctor main for a while then when I got hag and legion I've mostly played them. I usually don't bother with ptb since I like my trials to actually mean something toward BP, rank, or iridescent shards so tonight was my first time playing with him and these changes to the doctor are choice. He's much much much more viable in chases and tracking depending on add-ons. I haven't tinkered much with different builds yet, prestiged him a week ago so currently unlocking but my run with him now is using whispers, corrupt, overcharge, and unrelenting plus electrode and calm add-ons.

IMHO Doctor gameplay is much more fluent now without having to switch modes. And the new static blast is a real good replacement of the static field. The only issue I personally have with him is the uselessness of most of his addons because of the madness nerf. But as long as I don't play a real madness doc, I can live with that.
My current build is: Whispers, Pop goes the weasel, Save the best for last, BBQ with Restraint Class III and Mouldy Electrode
The next run will replace BBQ with Dark Devotion, to see if that fits.

ahhhh I dont play as killer but ive loved going against the doc. One of the few killers that I actually like to go against with.
0 -
You know when they fully realize we like the static blast. He is getting nerfed.
0 -
But the real question is, is he still a good BP machine?
