The ruin nerf makes game awful ...

So I gave it a shot, played some killer rounds after update went live. New ruin does nothing at all is my final verdict. Survivors I’ve come across also seem to be taking advantage of the update by teabagging and being extra toxic.

I can safely say today’s games have been some of the more frustrating I’ve ever played. Ruin is just the tip of the crap cake, with being matched with red rank survivors as a rank 14 killer, the toxicity of the swf I’ve faced, and no way to slow game down. What are your thoughts?

Use NOED and Blood Warden (end game builds work well), or just facecamp and tunnel. It worked for me and I had fun doing so.

Ruin is useless on its on, it wasn't "nerfed" it was replaced by a new niche really meme perk.

Pop is probably the best option for slow down now but...eh. Corrupt might be more useful, idk i dont have it but with pop you have to be getting hooks constantly, with corrupt it doesn't actually have to slow anything down because they can just go to other gens, but its less gens to patrol for awhile and you dont have to do anything. Pick your poison ig

Its not a big deal for me.

As killer I was moving towards Corrupt & Pop anyway for weaker, less mobile killers. I used to use Ruin & Pop, Ruin for the first 30-60 seconds before it’s destroyed and Pop for late game. Corrupt & Pop perform the same function so it’s not a huge loss to me. Only problem is teams with 3-4 toolboxes but then there are ebony moris for that.

As survivor I see killers doing surprisingly well. Slugging is up but it is what it is. Killers that apply pressure are doing ok. Killers that sit around the hook are doing worse. It’s good.

Well I finally got Wounded Healer...that was my quest. A good time to have a sabbatical.

I haven't bothered trying the new Ruin, Doctor, Asylum changes.

I'm not buying the second premium pass.

    I'm pretty sick of DBD.

My friends have been running Oni/Freddy + slug builds with some end game perks as insurance. The endgame chat is a radioactive wasteland but they've been winning pretty much regularly since slugging is the only thing that can make survivors react. Wondering how long its going to be before "omg slugging perks" becomes the next target for a hate train. The "nerf ghostface and hillbilly because I'm bad" trains are gaining steam already.
