Basically no event
Really disappointed I was hoping for something like the withering blight where you could get tokens on the free pass of the rift to get the Jeff and legion skin plus skins from the last lunar new year like how you could get cosmetics from both withered and hallowed blight. Instead we got some pretty boring cosmetics for character who already have a bunch of free cosmetics and 2 10 dollar skins.

Get used to it. Devs seems to take the easy way just by doing skins and adding them to the rift 🤷🏻♂️ indeed they safe time on making an event and such things.

Yes, the most annoying part of the event..that part still exists.

They still don't bt have the pop noise from the fireworks. Cause a couple people cried it was too loud 2 years ago

It doesn't really matter when they took away the prizes from the last Lunar event because they planned on just giving it out to everyone regardless if they participated or not and messed that up.

Yeah its pretty sad tbh. Its even worse that it didn't come out with the rift. Its only a day away but i was so excited for the update and got even more excited when i saw there was an event, i thought something would happen and we could earn one of those new skins but all i really got was ruin being removed lol.
I dont like to give the devs ######### about not giving out free stuff but i feel like events are the best way to keep the game going, look at Overwatch or even Fortnite. I ONLY get on Overwatch during events these days. And really how much are they even going to make from those skins? Wouldn't the good will and hype be more valuable, maybe even getting new players invested in the game that are going to have to buy a ######### ton of DLC?
I mean i guess at least its something but it wont mean anything to anyone that's not already a hardcore fan

Yeah at the very least, they said they know the grind is too much and have plans to reduce it but idk why theyre so stingy with the double BP. Honestly it should be double BP on Friday/Saturday/Sunday but that would give people a dedicated DBD night.
The devs have just been urg lately lol. But the new tome doesn't look like bullshit which is good! I actually really like the rift pass

They stated events would be tied to the rift in future so you can play and have more time to earn the skind. Tbh I am surprised they changed the gens and hooks this time.
The issue with events are they had a love/hate relationship with the community with so many not playing and just farming.
They can't win them all and generally what was fun about events were the extra bloodpoints and earning skins by playing by doing the extra objective.
I don't know if there is a dbp weekend planned but we do however get the same sort of skins as the previous ones just by logging in during the time frame.

would have been nice to have point hooks and gens hell a reskin of the Halloween would have been enough the extra points was alright

Yeah it's kinda sad that there going away from events with objectives like the lanterns and then no double bloodpoints. I thought we would at least get extra points from lunar gens. This event is really sad, i don't even care about more cosmetics. The event were more fun and added something new to the game if only for a little while.

It was nice being able to earn Event skins like how I did with the Huntress skin for year of the boar. This year's Legion skin looks like it can only be gotten with Auric cells, which is what's annoying ppl.

Typically the Chinese New year events have never gave a full skin loadout and just peices for characters they chose.
They did say they are making more for reward for the lunar event including a make park skin via the rift but we don't know what exactly the rewards actually are though.
So knowing this we are getting what we always did but a chance for more minus the bonus objective to do. Maybe we wont get the extra bloodpoints which hasn't been mentioned but I hope we do.
Maybe for some it's a case of the more they get in some events the more they want in them all 😉.

I want Hallowed Blight 2: The Blightening.

That was the neat part of each event was unlocking cosmetics through gameplay. For the first Hallowed Blight, I was new and got the Doctor cosmetics. Got Huntress and 1 piece of the Feng for year of the Pig and got the Clown outfit and Plague outfit for this years Hallowed Blight. The fact that the year of the rat isnt following the same flow as year of the boar and making the outfits farmable... is kinda rough.

As a newer player I have never experienced one those DBD events with actual in game things to do, and it seems like I never will. I just get to buy an event skin...
