RIP my boy trapper :(
With the gutting of ruin setting up as trapper is almost impossible, I mean sure I get two traps down but man . I miss the days where I could put a couple of nice traps down before 3 gens popped.
I know a lot of people will probably tell me "Use corrupt" and they're wrong. as trapper you dont want the survivors to see where you place your traps , corrupt pushed them towards you which is counterproductive.

as I stated it is counter productive, you want time to set up . corrupt pushes them towards you thus giving any trap you set down a bigger chance of being disarmed from a near by survivor.

No it forces them to hide, giving you time to set up. If they don't hide you can easily snowball them in the smaller space.

Regardless of what anyone says, the ruin nerf destroyed the viability of any killer who can’t teleport or chainsaw. That’s a fact.

you also act like there arent maps like haddonfield where even with corrupt you're screwing yourself , especially when you spawn in the middle of the map .

It's actually counter productive on him. So you force them near you. That means you can't set up your traps in time. Plus, they set off two gens in the center, and when the perk deactivates, that leaves three on the outer edges of the map they can do. Trapper can't cover larges maps well, but is forced to with CI. Better to give up the far gens and force them in a cluster so your traps cover the most ground.

Corrupt Intervention is better on Trapper.
It gives you the opportunity to either play for early game or late game (early game by setting up traps near the generators not blocked; late game by setting up the traps near the generators that are blocked).

Ruin was just a band aid for outdated design choices. There are plenty of great suggestions and changes to his kit out there that I won't repeat here, but he definitely needs an update after this. Games just move too fast now for trappy boi.
