If thats how they wanna play so be it. Camping has been going on since before this Ruin change. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Also, don't blame this on Survivors not being able to get the skill checks.
No one complained. Ruin was annoying, but manageable.
You can blame it on killers for using the perk in 80% of games for lack of ideas. Hence the devs had to nerf it. They will nerf all powers that are used all the time.

I've been using Ruin on Doc in many matches today. To me it's honestly still a pretty powerful perk.
It's just not that good on killers that lack any kind of map pressure. I guess that's the problem.

You honestly believe that killers used Ruin because they just weren't creative?
I used Ruin because I didn't have a choice. My creativity was limited because the game was so unbalanced that a single perk was basically required for consistent results on certain killers.
Do you think BBQ is used so often because killers just don't know how to get more points?

I tried this exact build last night except I used Discordance instead of Tremors. More leg work to do, but once you get some RBTs on survivor heads, it's very manageable for Pig.

Except camping wasn't as bad as now, but this is the side-effect some people forgot when they wanted Ruin nerfed without getting gen times fixed and/or maps fixed.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe they have released the statistics on their use.
Also something tells me if they released the current statistics it show that they probably are above 75% at this point at least in red ranks much like ruin was.

I barely used Ruin on doc - the screwed up skill checks were all I really needed to delay the game.
Now adays though, I'm using PGTW though

I was mocking the notion that Ruin was nerfed because it was run in a majority of games. As you say, these perks see 80%+ play rate but remain untouched.

You had plenty of choice. I wasn't using ruin before and did fine. Now I use the new one and do even better than I was.

Two of those perks were nerfed already and a third was nerfed indirectly by dedicated servers.
The last one does nothing if you don't let them finish the gens.

DS wasn't nerfed, BT was nerfed from god mode to merely S tier, still used in more than 80% of loadouts I'd imagine.

DS was heavily nerfed. It used to work on all 4 survivors every time they were picked up until they hit it. Now, it only procs if the killer is playing like a jerk.
BT only exists to allow saves for when the killer is camping. Stop camping and it will be a useless perk. It's exceptionally rare for me to get hit with DS or to see someone get the deep wound from BT.
Play better. In my games, every survivor with those perks might as well only have two perks all game.

DS is a minute of "don't touch me bro" that can be gamed with lockers, and is only needed on one surv to make it look like all 4 could have it. And apologies for camping for all of 4s as a surv comes barreling in with BT for the save, but sure it's "anti-camp". And still, it's about use rate.

Can we stop insulting people for playing in a manner that feels right to them?
It's only natural for players to gravitate to the path of least resistance. You can't insult people for playing in a matter that's inuative - especially when people are rescuing in a dumb manner and the person who just got rescued is terrible at making themselves scarce. That being said, I have no problems with the perk. It does what it needs to and has viable counter play. I only object to people throwing insults for styles of play.
Borrowed Time is another necessary perk because it's in the killer's best interest to NOT camp in most situations - therefore perks like this are necessary to train what is strategically the right decision. Because it's based on terror radius, the more creative killer's can counterplay if they feel they need to.

You're missing the point. Just don't go after the unhooked person and you will *never* deal with DS. Ever. When you hook someone, go after someone else immediately. The hooked person can't do a gen, the one going for the unhook isn't doing a gen, and the one you're now chasing isn't doing a gen.
Stop wasting time camping and going after freshly unhooked people just to complain about gen times. You're the one not pushing the others off the gens.

If the shoe fits, sir. The point is, there are more intelligent and efficient things you should be doing. If you do them, these two perks are wasted slots. These perks exist to counter this frustrating playstyle in the first place. Play better and they aren't an issue.

Wake up. It's not the easy kill. Your argument is exactly why you shouldn't be doing it. If they hook bomb, slug them. Now you have even more pressure. Wait a minute, then pick up and hook them.

Okay, so why should I as a killer be punished for bad decision making on the side of the survivor? Why not spend an extra 10s on a gen for me to walk away instead of running to unhook right as I turn around?

It's not bad decision making. They know what they're doing. They have the perks to protect them and are smartly using them to their advantage. Stop playing their game. Punish them with a time out on the floor to think about what they've done.
