Which map should get the lerys treatment
and by that I mean graphical improvements that's the amazing part of new lerys

Hm maybe The Game? I think most maps look great now it’s just the sizes that need to be addressed.

Unironically temple of wrath, because currently its so dark and unappealing I consider haddonfield better

id love to see MacMillain maps to get such cool new looks!
though before they do that PLEASE for the love of god rework HaddonFUN!
1 -
Take the oldest maps and do something new with them. Like corn maps or the forest ones.

The Game. Would love to see an updated version.
3 -
The Autohaven maps. They are so plain and uninteresting.

Only correct answer below...
In this order:
- Haddonfield
- Coldwind (the whole realm)
- Red Forest
- Crotus Penn Asylum (the Chapel map is fine, just the one with the asylum in the middle)
- Ormond
- Autohaven
- Macmillan (not because it's unbalanced, but because it would look sick with a visual overhaul)
The Game, Hawkins, Yamaoka (yes, even this map), Springwood are all fairly balanced for both sides.
Also, #REMOVESWAMP.

ormond
just a visual tweak and change up some of the weird jungle gyms
maybe increase the size of the lodge and reduce the overall size of the map

True

As long as sound is still ######### in this game, no map should be visually overhauled (and consequently made darker).

Hawkins is not fine at all.
Sure there are the strong rooms, I won't disagree with you there. But strong rooms that are heavily RNG dependant does not mean that the map is balanced.
Totem spots and gens are among the best in the game on that map though and it's aesthetic is amazing.
Just the trash tier pallets and the heavy RNG factor really makes it super weak for survivors
1 -
Also not sure if I mentioned this, but literally, screw all the swamp maps.
Seriously. As both killer AND survivor. #DELETESWAMP
2 -
Yamaoka estate is too stealth based and has too little pallets. Both of them. They should be reworked to have more pallets and less stealth opportunities, so Nurse and Billy can perform better on them.
1 -
Some RNG versions of it can have less pallets, but what you'll notice is more times than not, when there's fewer pallets, they are mostly safe pallets that the killer needs to break. So it's a trade off. If you play them correctly you're not really in any danger.
1 -
More safe loops, and more distance between hooks?
None.
Better lighting, looks more mysterious, and menacing.
All. Every single one.
1 -
That's not the problem, I'm sorry I didn't clarify what I meant, I meant to say it needs more pallets, less safe ones (like Freddy's map got the rework for) and it needs less stealth opportunities so it doesn't kill Nurse and Billy (Billy gets stuck on random things).
1 -
Eh, I don't think nerfing stealth is a good idea. Not every map will be good for every killer. Sometimes you just have to try your best, but stealth is a core component of the game.
Also, screw all the swamp maps.
2 -
Idk, just my view on them I guess. I think they're TOO killer sided for Demogorgon or Hag, but too survivor sided for Billy or Nurse. They don't have a mid point for killers either. Trapper also SHINES on them... But I think they deserve a FAT rework. We can agree to disagree though.
1 -
I mean, every map (screw swamp btw) has characeristics like that. If you're Trapper or Hag on Hawkins, Lery's or The Game, you're at a disadvantage because your traps shine like night stars. Making those maps, in that situation, survivor sided, because unless you're potato, the maps cuck the killer of their power.
I just think there's a lot to be said for killer viability per map, and survivability (not a real word, but to hell with it) per map depending on the killer. The variance is good. Not every map should work with every killer, or every survivor playstyle.
1 -
Nah, Hag is fine on every map, it's why I main her, same for Spirit. :P
I'm going to sleep, goodnight/day depending where you live.

Game or Haddonfield.
I feel like Haddonfield needs a rework more desperately, but Game is very bland with textures/atmosphere compared to newer maps.
1 -
I would agree - that aesthetic wise, The Game needs it the most. That being said, balance-wise, the game is pretty good.
1 -
The game, compared to Hawkins and Lerys, the lighting looks so bland. It wouldn't even need to be reworkeds, just whatever they do with the shadows and lighting on the other indoor maps.
1 -
Balance wise the game is terrible. Very small, with repetitive loops and nothing to help survivors when they're gone. I can see frustration for both sides.
2 -
I really hope the next maps that get updated are some of the original maps. Coldwind Farm maps in particular. I get that they might not be in need of a graphical update the most, but I think right now it's more important to make maps more balaned. Even though I love the new Lerys, and love the graphical update, I think it would have been better if the devs would have reworked some of the more unbalanced maps.
1 -
It's got balanced landing spots, a ton of safe pallets, and a good amount of windows.
Also don't forget the room of death, which can be used to loop a killer for the entire match if you do it right.

I'm not a fan of The Game. It all looks the same.

Coldwind farm, blendette estate, Mount Ormund, Haddonfun and the Game need reworks the most.
0 -
Coldwind Farm needs it badly, but I hope they don't update any of the sound.
Lery's is broken as hell now with audio. Can't even hear half of the killers or the hatch unless you're practically on top of it.
0 -
Haddonfield for sure, I just rarely have any fun playing on that map for either side.

Autohaven, densely palleted in some areas and huge deadzones elsewhere. Of course it needs an update, very bland looking, cars and junkpiles could use some texture/ color.
