What if totems were locked and survivors needed to find key?
The idea of hex totems burning brightly, out in the open zaps any power or use they have since they get broken in first 4 minutes. What if the totems were locked in cages and survivors needed to locate keys hidden to open said cage to destroy the totem? It would be a new objective vs the same old gen rush and healing. What other ideas do you have to make game more interesting?
Or they could make it so killer always gets notification if a totem is being cleansed as just Basekit.

Honestly, I'd love to see a lingering effect come into the game. But its weaker than what it was before the totem was destroyed. For example, if Ruin was broken, it would go from 200% regression to 105% or something like that for the rest of the game.

As survivor it would just be nice to have another objective to make game interesting. As killer the stress is already sky high so no objectives need to be added right now on that side.

No. Totem perks are high risk, high reward. I hate getting my totem cleansed instantly, which is why I rarely use them. They are what they are.
