Are Killers overlooking Discordance right now?
Been running Discordance ever since Ruin nerf and have not been gen rushed a single time, yet I rarely see it in many Killer builds as Survivor. Granted, I’m playing in red ranks as Survivor and green ranks as Killer, so maybe it’s just game sense; higher rank killers don’t need it to prevent getting gen rushed, but what do you guys think? How good/important is Discordance after the Ruin nerf?

It's essential at higher levels, and great with Freddy/PGTW. But a sign of the time problems with slower killers - you just cant make to to a yellow gen before it pops.
Seriously falling out of love with this game when the killers' only purpose is to be trolled by SWF survivors who can now hide under hooks unhittable.

Not 3 seconds into the map loading and Discordance activates on 2 gens, both on complete opposite sides of the map.
Yes, we use Discordance and no, it doesn't come close to solving the "gen rush" problem.

Discordance is an information perk, so what can you do with the information it gives you matters, it doesn't prevent "gen rushing" itself.

Been running Discordance + Monitor with Legion and it’s been working wonders. I also agree that the new hook tech is ridiculous. I’ve never used it as a Survivor because it’s so broken.

Literally solved by corrupt intervention. I have no idea why everyone is ignoring it.

Just don't swing at the survivor. Use the hit cone to your advantage.

Yeah, the select few killers who can actually make use of it are totally overlooking it. It's almost like you need to be a high mobile killer to take advantage of it because if you can't both APPLY pressure and END CHASES quickly, it is irrelevant
Most people just understand what some people dont apparently

"Corrupt Intervention + Discordance + Thanatophobia + Dying Light"
Clown isn't perk-reliant, so you pretty much can use whatever.

Many are ignoring it because it isn't as good as you think it is.
Corrupt Intervention can screw you depending on the map and your spawn where there are still open gens on opposite sides of the map. You also get good survivors who just ignore the gens for its timer and now you wasted a perk slot for nothing.

I think Discordance is overrated. In my experience, it only activates 1 or 2 times per match and in some matches it never activates and becomes as useless as Mindbreaker.

So tell me why the best killer I have ever seen, with a 98% win ratio at red ranks ranks, swears by it and calls it the best killer perk in the game?
Throw on whispers if you have a hard time finding survivors.

None of the "best killers" call it the best killer perk.
You are basing too much opinion on watching videos instead of having the experience in it yourself.

I play at red ranks both sides, and I know how useful it is. It was always better than ruin. Ruin didn't stop people from spawning in and immediately starting to work on your gens. Corrupt does.

You can't argue with statistics. A 98% win rate is higher than anyone I have seen, because none of the other red rank killers record their stats. You have people like truetalent getting a 2k and declaring victory because he pipped. Lol.

corrupt intervention can be waited out and sometimes blocks gens on opposite sides of the map cause where killer can spawn

It can't be waited out if you have whispers as well. Good whispers useage lets you almost pinpoint the exact location of survivors.

Your link says : "Darn, this channel doesn't exist yet", so I highly doubt for the moment that such killer with 98% kill rate even exist.

Just look for provengeance_ on mixer. I forgot the underscore.

Whatever works for you man, too much of a gamble using 2 perks for early game and then being left with 2 effectively until whispers becomes useful again in endgame.

Discordance is an okay perk. It's worth running sometimes. I don't think it is particularly underused nor do I think of it as essential.

Killer is all about the early game. That is when you are the weakest, when potentially 4 people are working on gens and you have no pressure to stop it. Corrupt makes them at least go find a gen to work on, while cutting the map in half. If you are very familiar with the map layouts, and have used whispers for hundreds of hours to know about what 32m is, you can get a really, really good idea of where survivors are early game.

You make it sound like this is a bad thing. It's not. I would greatly prefer to find myself in this situation as opposed to all 4 survivors spreading out and working on 4 generators simultaneously. In this situation you just pick one generator and you can completely negate the work of 2 survivors at the same time. You also have perfect knowledge of where the remaining 2 survivors are which can be very useful information when you are deciding where to hook your first catch. That's what I like to call a "good problem".

Discordance can be very good on Huntress. I call it "The Gen-Sniper Build". ;p

I checked 3 streams and he didn't use Discordance in any match.

Discordance is nice, but I don't have much luck with it on low mobility killers. What's the point of seeing where two are when they're on the other side of the map, and I'm already in a chase.

When did I mention discordance? I have been talking about corrupt intervention.

With competent survivors discordance has the opposite effect of what you wish: they’ll stay separated and rush you much more efficiently. It’s a good perk in the very early game for when you want to quickly locate survivors, but later on is more of a distraction if anything

It's good.
But i prefer B&C, and i don't need 2 Aura Perks.
