Exhaustion Addons
I just played a game as Huntress and used exhaustion hatchets. I ended up Lery's, but pulled it back after a difficult game with a 4k.
In the post game/comments, someone decided to rant about how immoral and toxic exhaustion addons are. Can I ask why people think this? Exhaustion perks should be used as a tool and shouldn't be relied upon in the first place, so I don't understand why in this situation (and in many others) I'm a monstrous person for using them?
Surely like with (old) ruin they should be able to run me normally without their exhaustion perks??

Mostly because it's usually an ultra cheap addon to disable a perk entirely for that chase duration, that being said I think with addon passes they'll remove exhaustion addons entirely because they were a thing added before the exhaustion change (not recovering while running).

I don't quite get it though. I'm a red rank survivor and killer and the fact of the matter is that I don't touch exhaustion perks. With enough skill you can run killers without the need for them at all. Admittedly they can be used as a final lifeline, but I don't see why it's such an issue for some survivors to just have to reconsider their options.
They may be removed, they may not. It won't affect me much either way, but was just curious as to why people see it as such a damning and critical to the game addon. (But surely if survivors get exhaustion perks, killers should be granted a way to counter them, too?).

I hope so. A clown with exhaustion addon is the most annoying thing to play against

I mean, i think it's irrelevant as to if someone needs them or not, people run them because they think they're fun, or enjoy using them.
Take the huntress for example, she can quickly M1 after throwing a hatchet, if she rides you, drops hatchet, you get exhaustion and then suddenly your only life line (dead hard) is gone then it can feel kind of silly to just have an entire perk disabled because you were hit.
and again, I'm not on either side, I'm just explaining why people don't like them, I don't care tbh.

You bring up a valid point - that would most definitely irritate me if I was in their boots - but I feel like that's the minority ya know? Like if I was doing that then their irritation would be understandable, but I wasn't. Ah well, thanks for your input ;p

I wouldn't mind if it was removed or not, but if it's something useless like "blindness" then really it changed a good addon into yet another outstandingly useless one.
While exhaustion addons tend to be brutal against people who run Exhaustion perks not everyone does. So while chances are you may get most people every once in awhile the addon was useless.

Again, I'm not complaining about the addons so telling me to "git gud" is honestly ridiculous.

This honestly isn't a mindset that helps the community at all. You can't always dodge attacks ez pz, much like killers can't always land them ez pz and that's ignoring all the bugs associated with this game of which there are many. "Git gud" mindsets just add toxicity to the community and frankly it's unneeded man. C'mon.

Exhaustion Add Ons are pure Bullshit. Especially because when you consider that they are from a time where Exhaustion still recovered while running and because they are cheap. My "favorite" Add On is Berus Toxin. It only costs 3k BPs and does the same as the green Add On. Because if it is 30 seconds or 90 seconds does not matter, because Exhaustion will not go down during that chase.
And 3k BP to disable strong Perks?
I once compared it to old Ruin and those Toolbox Add Ons which increase the Skill Check Zones. Imagine they would increase the Skill Check Zones of Hex Skill Checks. Everyone would riot, because you can make it even easier to hit greats.
So yeah, Exhaustion Add Ons are a relict from the past and should be converted into different Add Ons or at least should be pricy. But you can get a tons of those, because they are cheap af.

Exhaustion add ons are fine. Sorry you don’t get a free pallet in every chase because you brought Dead Hard.
Clown doesn’t really need them but DH can really screw over Huntress. I don’t complain when Huntress uses those add ons because I’ve played her and know how annoying it is when you have a split second to make a shot, line it up perfectly but the survivor gets a free escape due to DH.
I don’t understand why survivors rage about exhaustion add ons or franklins. You always get so much salt after the game with either of these. What you’re mad because your perk got taken away? Lol they would take away my perk (Ruin) instantly. They could bring med kits, botany or we’ll make it rendering my perk (sloppy butcher) worthless. Theres counters to a lot of things in the game. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and deal with it.

The argument being made is that killer add ons should not help killers to that extent which i dont agree with. Add ons are suppose to be useful and cost a lot of BP for a reason and Huntresses are tailored to inflicting condition if the hatchet lands. Im just tired of the constant complaining coming from survivors. Let the add ons reward killers.

Let's turn all of the exhaustion addons into blindness ones. Because that totally helps the killer and isn't a horrible status effect at all.

It actually really makes me laugh that Survivors will say 'X Add-Ons are BS cause they're OP' but they're totally fine with BT, DS, DH, Lithe, etc. If they can have an advantage to escape a killer, whats the issue with a killer having an advantage to stop said escape? I swear so many people are so one minded, they don't think to look at the other side. I could care less is either side uses X Add-on/Perks, it's a game. We're playing to have fun. One person may like using certain add-ons for fun. People need to stop being so damn negative constantly just because they don't like certain aspects. To the OP, keep doing what your doing. If you enjoy it, and it helps in matches, don't let people make you feel otherwise :)

Using a Perk Slot is way different than spending 3K BPs to negate Perks.

My point still stands that its up to the individual player to play how they want to play. There are no rules in the game stating that a player can't use certain things. If we're going to start complaining about killer add-ons, lets complain about Survivors. Flashlights negate a hook. Pretty much the same thing as a killers negating the exhaustion perks. End of the day, all I'm saying is that let people play how they want to play. Maybe if people stopped complaining so much about the play styles, the game wouldn't be hemoraging killers right now.

To the rest: everyone can play whatever they want, but they should not expect people to like it.
(btw. Flashlights dont negate Hooks... Flashlights are pretty hard to use instead of Killer Add Ons which are just "Put them on", and easily counterable)

I don't really see an issue with Exhaustion addons at all from either side. If the survivor isn't running an Exhaustion perk it's completely wasted anyway.
