Do The Devs have any idea why there is a longer queue time for Survivor and Fast match on Killer

So I've seen one post of the Devs where he/she said that they are fixing the queue times, but failed to address that a lot of Killers have already quit or switch side because of how they ruined "RUIN".. Now we have longer queue times on Survivors and Instant matches for Killers.. But in every reply that they send, they don't want to address that the reason why Survivors needs to wait for 10-20 minutes for a match that ends in less than 5 minutes is because there are little Killers now since the Ruin Nerf, And that anyone who plays Killer now gets Instant match because there are a lot of Survivors now more than ever because Killer Main have already either quit or switch side.. So Devs, Will you address the real reason now? Or just dodge it again and instead Nerf more Killer perks like what you mentioned on your Q & A especially Gen Slow Perks like Thana, PGTW and Dying Light.

    I am not buying it's because killers quit over ruin. This didn't just happen with the update and in my experience has not gotten worse after the update. It's been like this for at least 2 months for me.

    Of course it is not because of Ruin. In fact, since the Update, my Queue Times are a little bit faster than before.

    It was also not because of the Nurse Rework, which also some people claim (you know, the one Killer Nerf they got after months of Survivor Nerfs)... I highly doubt that Hundreds or Thousands of Nurse Mains decide "Ok, I stop playing".

    But it fits the Narrative to simply say "Killers dont want to play anymore! We are little snowflakes and want headpats! It is too hard to play vs 4 Survivors, give us 3"

    You do know playing Killer is harder than playing Survivor, and you do know that Ruin was nerfed not because of it boosting Killers but because of potato survivors having a hard time hitting the Great Skill Check, Right? I suppose you need to research more why ruin was nerf in the first place and why queue times are longer now on survivors than killers.. Because there are a little of you who only claims that you don't have a problem on the queue while you can see a lot of discussions who addresses this issue since dedicated server went live. Now it got worst because no one wants to play Killer who has no gen pressure where the survivors gen rush and the match ends in less than 5 minutes..

    It's not about the ruin nerf but how frustrating is to play killer on console. I bet if they were like we have on PC, the queue times would change.

    Frustrating to play killer on console? Lol.. Since Ruin Nerf, Everyone is having problem with 2-3 Gens popping up in the first minute.. Whether the Killer is playing on console or on the PC.. Remember Ruin was nerf not because it was boosting Killers but because potato survivors are having a hard time getting Great Skill Check instead of looking and destroying the Totem..

    Oh, I play both sides on high Ranks and dont use Ruin since forever (playing with Ruin was more stressful for me, because I need to care for Gens, Survivors, and a Totem and I felt stressed when it was gone...).

    And well, Killers are the whiny side of DBD. Because apparently, being the Powerrole comes with the illusion that you deserve easy 4K all the time. That the Survivors Skill does not matter at all.

    You know, if you lose as Killer, Survivors are OP. If you win as Killer, it was only because you are so skilled.

    I play both sides myself and it annoys me that most killers are entitled babies about losing matches. Personally, I don't mind if I win or lose, it's just having a fun time for me. But, it is understandable that some people despise playing killer when you get matched to much higher ranks, and to top that, SWF who are said ranks. I'm not one of these 'SWF op,etc, etc' but it does make it much harder for killer. I've gone against many of them and it does get to me because it's more frustrating that you can't even earn decent points against them, let alone even keep one down for more than 5 seconds.

    As much as I hate to say it, I actually do not have the same experience.

    I mean, I havent been playing as much myself, but in my times when i play (as a rank 10 killer and a rank 8 survivor), my killer que times have grown longer, but my survivor que times have been shorter.

    Also, I haven't gotten any of those unwinnable games yet too. I only really lost 1 game, but it was mainly to sound issues, not the gen speed.

    Do I see the potential: yes. It so well could happen.

    Has it happened: no, not yet.

    yeah right, you play on high ranks without ruin but have no videos to prove it.. Yeah right.. You do know it takes more skill to play Killer than Survivor, Right? It is more frustrating since you need to go from one place to another, hit and hook a survivor and kick gens before it could be done while the only objective of survivor since nerf ruin is to hold M1 and wait till 5 gens are over.. Yeah man, you and your fairy tale story that "I don't use ruin on the higher ranks".. Sure.

    Are we at the point where only the opinion of Streamers or Youtubers matter? Come on, Man. Another person can come up with "I lose every game because Killer is SOOO HARD" and you would believe them right away. Without any videos.

    My point stands, Killers are the whiny part of this community. Just look at the Forums and you see it.

    I think I wont discuss with you, sorry, I cannot take you seriously when you actually expect people to record their games. There are so many players here who do well without ever recording anything.

    So how can you have fun as a killer when your whole point of existence is to Kill Survivors, but with the current nerf of ruin (also the inevitable nerf of slow gen perks like Thana, PGTW and Dying Light), Do you even think the Killer is having fun while the match ends in less than 5 minutes and that he haven't have 1 Kill during that game because he's using a M1 Killer in a Big Ass Map? If you call that fun, then there's something wrong with you.

    The issue started with he move to dedicated servers and then was made worse with the swf matchmaking change.

    The dedicated server issue came more to light when ps4 was recently changed over and queue times went up.

    The swf change means more players are being matched within those ranks so logically it will increase the queue times. I've laid this out before.

    400 survivors all 4 man swf. 1 red rank in each means 300 survivors being put into red rank matchmaking. This takes 100 killers to fill. What this means then is another 75 killers are needed for the true red ranks just to compensate for this change.

    This is also by low ranked killers have really long queues as the survivor who should be playing in that area are being pulled away by playing with friends and what the matchmaking was widened pre Christmas which causes the lower ranks to be paired with high ranks.

    I am sure many would like the issue to be all the killers leaving but since the change the players number haven't really changed much and these would probably be more affected with loss of players due to those longer queue times than changes to the game.

    As a killer I never used Ruin and due to the broken matchmaking I have faced two or three red ranks survivors per match, and killed them. For me it's not different now.

    Purple is on the middle so sometimes it only takes 3-5 minutes.. However it depends on what time you play.. If you play in the morning, the queue time is longer because there are little players playing the game but at night, you'll have no problem finding matches because there are more players at night.. Still whether what time you play, the queue times was not that bad before dedicated servers even hit live.. not to mention the pretty bad matchmaking now where potato killers are being matched with god looper red ranks.. Of course what do you expect from potato killers after the match? They won't even get their 1 Kill especially if they are using M1 Killers on Big ass Maps like cornfield or mother's dwelling. And you can hear these devs saying they'll nerf more Killer Slow gen Perks(Thana, Dying Light, PGTW) of all things so the survivors won't be holding m1 all the time.. These Devs are delusional at best..

    I imagine there are multiple reasons queue times are messed up; I doubt it's just one thing. Like a messed up algorithm + the way it's treating solo survivors vs SWF + an unbalanced number of killers spread out amongst the ranks... etc.

    Yes, I too would like to see devs say why queue times are the way they are, and hopefully they will, but I imagine they want to be on their way to fixing the problem before they start divulging stuff to their playerbase. Though, telling us sooner rather than later would be nice simply because it might help put an end to the arguments and conjecture.

    You won't expect that with delusional devs.. The only explanation they'll give you is "We are looking at it".. That's the only answer you'll get from these devs.. In fact on the Q & A, instead of reading questions which actually bothers a lot of Killers about gen speed since ruin nerf, they focus on the next nerf they'll be doing against Killer's slow gen perks(Thana, PGTW, Dying Light).. See how insane these devs are. they have no idea what is happening to their game at all..

    Oh I will.. And I'm not the type of OP who will bow down to these devs and lick their feet like the rest of these scared OPs.. Reason why the balance of the game is getting destroyed by these devs because of the majority of these "YES MEN" OPs who doesn't bring out their frustrations to these delusional devs and instead just saying "YES, You're doing a Great Job".. Crap like that..

    If only that is possible.. But technically I hope this game dies soon because of how the game is going and how these devs treats killers as trash... I just wish its RE3 who will destroy this game with its own Asymmetrical Multiplayer Resistance..

    Matchmaking and sound bugs make it bad for Killers. Low ranks getting matched up with reds and purples constantly makes for a very unfun experience. You can't learn if you get bullied and rushed.

    The sound bugs are awful though. You can't hear footsteps at all and a lot of the usual moans, grunts, and breathing are horribly muted unless you are standing in an area completely open on all sides. Not to mention the "Everyone has Iron Will even if they didn't bring it" Bug, which has happened to me on a few occasions.

    Add those two together, and you'll get a lot of the reason why Survivor queues might be longer. More Survivors will switch over to Killer though, so it's only a short lived issue right now. Killer times for me are 1-5 seconds was up to Rank 11 before I deranked myself, Survivor not sure cause I ditched back to Killer after 5 minutes of waiting at Rank 5. NA Eastern US region if that matters.

    Nah.. The numbers are the same.. In fact the player base is decreasing.. back in 2017 you got the highest online player base that even hit 50K at the time.. now you only got a steady 15K-16K players daily.. Its not even growing.. That's on the PC by the way.. So i have no idea what you're talking about.. As i said, Just look at DeathGarden, where is it now?

    Actually it also depends on the time to you play the game.. In the morning where there are fewer players, it takes longer but at night it lessens the queue time.. Even though i agree with you with the sound bug.. I even don't know if its even a bug since it has always been that way where you hear footsteps on the right side of your headset but they're actually on the left.. And have the devs address these issues? No.. Not one bit.. All they care is nerfing Slow gen Perks on the next update.

    From my own experience, I had no issues pre-patch with hearing footsteps. I used to use them heavily for tracking during a chase because I was having severe desync/lag issues with dedicated servers. I could hear the breathing, steps and other sounds to keep me in the chase and get hits.

    Right now though, it's horrible. Thankfully changing my download region on Steam alleviated some of the dedicated issues, but I still get nasty lag, especially during chases, at times. They break sounds with every patch, then it takes forever to fix them. I should know to wait a couple weeks post-patch before trying to play, it's like watching the Marx Brothers or Keystone Kops at times. Slapstick patching at its finest.

    Matchmaking now matches everyone with everyone while ignoring the rank.

    It just shows that there isn't enough killers playing to fill the lobbies. I don't know if it is really caused by recent changes or it is just a trend that will continue to appear and grow.

    I don't see devs ever revealing such information but all we know is that they don't plan to make game better for killer in any way in the forseable future but hey, at least the manager is happy that they push out cosmetics fast.

    I play all different hours since I work from home honestly. I've played at 4am est with my friend from Estonia and late at night. Not once have I ever had a queue take longer then a quick trip to the bathroom or getting a drink. I've felt like its been more losses then wins since the patch for me and a friend getting alot more excuses for playing dirty usually blaming the devs. I did have a doctor get super pissy and start smacking and camping everyone because a "jake broke his hook so now we all have to suffer for it". I'm sitting at reds atm is the queues have still been the same.

    Maybe solo or full 4 mans are having a longer wait or location from dedicated server.

    There is an increase.. In fact its the same crap since the dedicated went live.. Longer queue times, and a longer queue times now since ruin nerf.. So WTH are you talking about.. You're the one who should stop licking the feet of these devs..
