I find the Oni Mask close up far too straightforward which is why I don’t think it’s an Oni. The developers love their curveballs, the Oni Mask is just too obvious.7

Well just like the information that is provided at the end of the video that you have. It says that oni mask are use to keep spirits away. So it could still be seen as Kuchisake-Onna hinting that we are dealing with a vengeful spirit. There are so many things you can take away from the video so she still can be considered as a killer.1

She will be the same as Geisha, she doesn't like people seeing her face that's why she wore a mask
When chasing a survivor she wore a mask, when she attack she reveal her face etc

Agreed. I think people are really stretching the slit faced woman theory and are setting themselves up for disappointment.
Also read up on the Shuten-Doji as I think that figure might be a large influence here. The Oni mask really is key for the new Killer I feel. The man in the teaser even has an unique katana (circular hilt) which indicates that the sword will be the weapon used by the killer as well.

I don’t understand why people say the developers like throwing curve balls on teaser trailers. I watched all the past teaser trailers out of curiousity and every single one showed the killer clearly, no mysteries to throw off anyone..2

That's sad, actually the slit-faced woman would be really scary in the game. When the devs learn that the killer's with mask's are not grisly anymore.

the poster/scroll hung up on the wall with the katana says “rise from the dead” or something similar to that. Also the mask could be a Hannya mask which represents the vengeful woman spirit. The samurai holding the sword also had it tilted sideways prior to turning it to slash vertically, it was already bloody, and the ground was red suggesting that he could have slit her face from left to right already before he decides to brutally slaughter her. All killers don’t talk as well so that would kind of negate the samurai unless if he is the first.
Now that evidence isn’t as concrete as a samurai with his weapon already shown. But not all of the teasers revealed the killer’s power(doctor, hag, and myers possibly) so it is still possible for the slit mouth woman. This teaser was still pretty different from the rest due to it’s graphic event and it isn’t clear with either the killer or the power he/she posseses which is why it’s so up in the air2 -

That's Blizz's Oni Genji mask. Compare traditional Hannya masks to Oni masks and you'll see the issue.
