after nerf Hex Ruin... Dead Hard need a nerf also (80% survivors use this perk)

I mean you can call it a load of crap, but that's the optimal way to make changes to a video game. Feel free to make your own if you think you know all the answers lol

A lot of meta perks are bad. Adrenaline only works late game, DH is god awful, BT can be countered in many ways, and what else? Oh yeah D'S is broken. ☺
0 -
I mean i understand why ruin was nerfed i just think it was handled poorly and was worded poorly. It should have been nerfed it when why it was used was fiddled with too instead of dropping it like it was hot while having no protection.

What if they removed self care completely
Doubled the time to heal
And
Added it to base kit
:o
0 -
But why tho

I don't have any official stats, but I have my own.
I've been writing down my games by hand, about 25 of them.
DS appeared in all but one of them. Curiously, there wasn't a game where everyone had it.
Adrenaline appeared in only 6 games. I was super surprised.
Dead Hard was in 15.
Prove Thyself was in 20, but we all know that isn't normal, it's just because of the Ruin nerf.
0 -
What about self-care? I’ve heard it’s the most popular.
0 -
15 of the 25 had at least one person using SC.
1 -
Here you go, champ.
2 -
Why not? It's assurance to reset when you ended a chase, it can also be used to prompt killers to give chase as they rather not see you get healed within proximity, it also prompts a killer to break a pallet and gives you distance by using selfcare infront of a pallet, there are many usefull uses to it.
0 -
Using self care in front of a pallet isn't tactical. It's BM lmao

@DudeDelicious i feel you, currently 95% of survivors suck even in red ranks due to the current rank system, that's why many killers believe they are amazing at the game, but back then there were a lot of good survivors, just like after the legion rework patch... trust me put more time into playing, maybe you 'll experience 4 good survivor who use dh for distance, and you will tell me how fair is it. As killer we only have noed as crutch, and arguably spirit fury, bamboozle, while surivor got far stronger perks like bt,ds,dh, and genrush injured into adrenaline.. Such a fun experience.. now the killer experience is a little bit enjoyable due to the broken mathcmaking and rank system, that's it
0 -
That's the difference between how players play, some players make use of all aspect of a perk while some just use it for one aspect, if you're not smart enough to make use of a perk to it's full advantage, i don"t think you have the right to sully it
0 -
Have you heard of dead hard for distance? They use it to get that extra distance to get to a window/pallet. There's no getting closer or waiting for the survivor to use it that counters that
0 -
@DudeDelicious well so you should know how strong can be dead hard when a full squad who know how to play the game is running it, and using it for distance at loops, not for dodge normal hits.. i hate the fact that there are far more annoying thing in the game for killer than for survivors is ruin or noed, but we get nerfed for 4 patches in a row just because of low rank players
0 -
From purple to red, every match I see an average of 3 DS, 3 DH. But hey, it's a killer issue, so who cares right.
Also, there is no point in asking for data.
Kill numbers are busted cause of red potatoes and DC, that for some reason seems to be considered. And don't forget that if a teams consists of 1/11/20, that is considered a red rank match.
0 -
I think all exhaustion perks should be taken out of the game honestly any one of them have the power to extend a chase with very little effort put in by the survivor, except I guess head-on, but that'll never happen since survivors would have a massive hussy fit
0 -
I'd be interested to see the numbers for the region I'm in, Oce, alone, tbh. Because almost every game contains SWF, often 4 stacks, and it shows. I won't even play survivor if I'm solo here because it's a horrific experience, but killer isn't much better with what I've already said in mind...
Basically my experience is have a hard game where I gens are done like crazy even if I have 20 second chases, because everyone knows what I'm doing at all times...or I instantly wreck the survivors because they're so horribly coordinated. It's interesting, tbh.
And couple that with the game giving low rank killers red rank survivors all the time. :D
0 -
@DudeDelicious sure it doesn't, but we can apply the same logic to ruin... there's no balance, not only in the game, but also for how we are treated.. i consider myself killer main but i play both sides, so i don't wanna look entitled.. every patch devs shouls take away something from each sides until a better balance, but they don't. And now most of the killers are in serious need of change.. i know there will never be a pure balanced game, but even before the patch, survivors were the power role, now even more. Ruin needed to be changed, but not now, in this current state.

So you're telling me that a really small boost or dash that let's you get a little bit of distance so that you can get to a window or a pallet is op? Gtfo self-care is op, dead hard is not a big deal and at the moment it's bugged, don't know if it's because of dedicated servers but dead hard sometimes just won't work even after you get exhausted
0 -
Lol
0 -
Are you really talking about hex perk on brokem maps and brokem totem spawning? Come on... Its a heex..
..
0 -
If a survivor is at a loop and make a mistake they can use DH and not be punished for it. That's pretty BS. The fact you don't believe that, or gaining distance to a pallet or vault and not being downed isn't significant, in that it could buy that survivor another loop, or two, or who knows, in a game where the killer should have gotten that down? A game all about time management and pressure? And then 4 people have it? That isn't broken?
3 -
Dead hard can be frustrating for new killers, but it's trivially easy to counter, especially on dedicated servers. It works well only when survivors use it to make distance, but if they're pathing isn't perfect, then the distance from DH only adds 3 seconds tops before going down regardless. That requires decent skills, so I don't have an issue with that.
0 -
No it's not broken, usually if a survivor makes a mistake near a loop he's fked even with DH. When you use DH you can't throw pallets down or vault or turn, it's literally a straight dash, if you were able to throw pallets down or vault or turn while dashing and still avoid damage then it'd definitely be broken as hell. But in my opinion it is not op, especially considering the way exhaution works now, it's not like they can DH every 20 seconds and yes I play killer too and I don't think it's annoying. Self-care is a thousand times more annoying and that one actually is broken.
0 -
Or lunge 0.5 seconds later.
0 -
Aaaah yeah. The famous BHVR "survivor or killer" factor.
0 -
All of which can be done faster with a Med-Kit. Self-care is a great perk for when you have time to waste, otherwise, it's garbage. You would be better off running Bond to find people that can heal you, or, just run Inner Strength.
0 -
To say it was because of the % of people using it is a blatant strawman. That's like saying looking at kill rates alone to determine balance holds weight. It was a stupid and unhealthy perk.
0 -
Thing is, BHVR KNOWS there's another game like DbD. Hell, they helped work on it. Identity V.
0 -
Or, you could just counter it by baiting it literally every single time you’re in a chase and do what every single Killer who is good at the game does.
0 -
Problem is, you can't fix gen speeds when an uncontrollable variable is affecting 45% of your total games, first, they had to remove it in order to make it easier to balance games.
0 -
I use to feel this way too. I am back to running selfcare now. Even at rank 1 the amount of survivors that have zero game sense is astonishing. If I bring a med kit and the killer ends up having franklins I am screwed to have to rely on these other survivors to do anything productive.
0 -
If I play 10 matches and go against 40 survivors I would say on average 30 of them use DH. I don't feel it needs a nerf though because out of those 30 maybe 1 or 2 are smart enough to know how to use it correctly and at the right time.
0 -
Could you release stats how often DS is used in high ranks particularly? I genuinely believe it's used by 70-80% of survivors in there
0 -
Dead Hard is a joke. DS is what needs to be looked at again. If you are safely unhooked and the killer moved on, it shouldn't still be activated.
0 -
A small boost that extends the chase that should be over there and can lose you the game. If multiple survivors have it and use it like that yes its op.
Did you really just say self care is op? lol ok im out
0 -
Self care is so slow that you would never get that off if the killer kept on you. Maybe if you used a med kit or syringe. But self care will not make a difference in that situation lol.
"Self care is the best slow down perk in the game".
0 -
Odd when people explain how to bait dead hard o.O
Imo you use it to correct a mistake in a chase, you were to greedy, dh, make it to x. Dodging hits with it and the dedicated servers is too much a gamble.
So care to explain how you bait this exactly?
0 -
Bait dead hard are for the people who still use it to try and dodge a hit (there are still quite a few!)
0 -
Dead Hard is already nerfed. (with exaustion status effect) and DH 9 on 10 times doesen't work QQ nerf nerf nerf stop it pls.
0 -
Did you miss the part where I said they have the community participate in vanilla experiments? They have plenty of data to show how the base game runs without perks like ruin impacting.
0 -
i'm sorry BUT THIS IS A SUGGESTION AND SHOULD BE MOVED TO FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS!!!!!! IF ONLY THE MODS WEREN'T BIASED AND ONLY SEEM TO MOVE POSTS THEY DIDN'T CATCH IN TIME AND BECAME POPULAR!!!!
1 -
I'm sorry, if you're actually losing games because of dead hard I don't even know what to say to you. You're talking as if survivors were able to use it every 20 seconds and that's not it, they can only use it once and then they get exhausted. Most of the times it doesn't get them anywhere unless you're one of those dumb killers that goes breaking every single pallet in the map (safe and unsafe) and commit to every chase. I play killer too and to me self-care is way more annoying and op than dead hard.
You mean a perk that allows survivors to heal whenever and wherever they want without a med kit? Yes, it is op and a lot of people agree on that, self-care is by far the most used survivor perk in the whole game and it is way more annoying than dead hard.
0 -
You guys have no idea what you're asking for.. If you nerf DH people will just go for lithe or sprint burst which allows them to reach another god loop or something. Also DH requires you to be injured before using and the other perks don't. You basically get a free hit on them for not running Sprint burst or lithe and you're complaining.. Imagine that.
0 -
I feel like 20% of this game's playerbase are having a screaming tantrum; while the other 80% are just continuing to play, blissfully unaware.
0 -
Did i said to get a heal off? I specifically said to force a killer to break the pallet so that the survivor can gain distance to run off to another loop and break bloodlust
0 -
Could just run in the first place or wait in the first place. SC there is just flashy

Baka

I personally like to point like a dik :^)
