The Game Is Better When Its Hard

I dont know about you, but my fondest memories of tgis gamewas when ifirst started, as a survivor. The killers were stronger and harder to escape from. It kept me on my toes. I dont mind being hooked and dont blame the killer. Thats what hes supposed to do. If im hooked and die, i dont blame the killer. I blamed either my ignorance or my teamates who couldnt manage to rescue me(wouldnt). Killers are supposed to be more capable than any survivor as its 4vs1. In fact all killers should be faster to cut down chase times because the rest of the survivors take advantage of him being distracted. This game used to be a game of hide and seek, cat and mouse. Now, its a game of freeze tag.

You must run into potato killers. 80% of loops are mindgameable, which pretty much means a forced hit on the survivor if the killer isn't stupid.

No not really. I run into some good ones here and there. But its definitely easier as a survivor now. Ghostface, Myers, Hillbilly, huntress, wraith and trapper have become easier to play against. I dont know if its me or novice killers.

You mean it's easier than when Survivors had pallet vacuums, double window killer shacks, instant self cares, permanent sabotage, insta blinds, guarantied fast vaults etc? You must be dreaming. It's never been a better for killers.

Well you clearly aren't at high ranks, otherwise you would probably not get many Trapper, Wraith, Myers games lmao

Thats the thing i hardly ever get them. Its either ghostface, legion nurse or spirit. I dont even get many doctor matches either. And once in a very blue moon i face the hag.

I pretty much never run into Legion/Nurses ever at Rank 1 anymore.

Okay? Were not using the same console. The opponents are going to vary.

it's literally easier as survivor on console because controller movement is so trash which gives console killers a disadvantage.

i'm talking about ranks because if you are not a highly skilled player, you have pretty much no arguments worth hearing in the balancing discussion. and you don't even need to be that good to get to rank 1 on ANY platform.

put some scary music on and make some creepy halloween decorations to your room and then play dbd if you want to be scared but don't try to argue about balancing.

  • Hard yes, when it;s impossible no. Then when it is impossible, survivors will bully the hell out of you. getting destroyed as survivor isn't too bad, it's quick and onto the next game, but when it's killer you have 4 people that usually bully the hell out of you in game and post game chat.

So in that sense, it's not very fun to me, honestly.

I only ever had one game when it felt like it was impossible. 3 flashlights and one toolbox. They were so coordinated. My hag was prestige 3 then and i still couldnt manage a sacrifice.

Equip No Mither and nothing else if you want the game to be harder again

Survivors practically get a free dead hard on console. They don't even need the perk. They 360 so fast, it's impossible to hit them because the killer just DOESN'T move as fast, yet there suppose to be quicker? This game is a joke for ps4. Even top streamers that are gods at this game are struggling playing killer since the BS nerfs. Doesn't THAT speak for itself? Quit catering to 10yr olds who can't figure out how to loop w survivors man. Make killer great again!

Its hard but you learn to predict their turns eventually. And once you can do that its best for them to run straight.

When I was lvling up Quentin I learned something important. It's that SC sucks and this was before they nerfed it. The bloodweb didn't give me SC during the lvling process so I experimented with Pharmacy. Now I never use SC anymore. I farm green medkits and just bring one of those to heal myself now.

The more intense matches I had were ones where I couldnt heal myself. One match on Macmillan estate. The one with the 2 story warehouse. I was hurt and my medkit burned up. It was me and 1 other person left. The one person was being chased as I was looking for a chest. I found one in the 2nd story warehouse. I healed myself, rescued the other person from the hook. I lead the killer on a long chase while he finished the last gen and opened the gates.

That fear I felt when I couldn't heal myself is rare now. It's why I actually like the jump scare killers. Adds to the suspense. At the start of a match my head is on a swivel until i know who the killer is. When I first get on gen I'm paranoid it's Myers or GF about to give me a wedgie.

lol so true! When i first started the killer i feared the most was Pig. She moves fast even in stealth and shes plain clothed i mistook her for a squatting survivor more than once. Then the lion roar leap. It got me every time.

Totally agree, one of the reasons I played GTA was how difficult it was.

If you need a challenge just play killer.

I prefer a fun and relaxing round as survivor.
