when the trap rearms, it doesn't set in the exact same place, it kinda off, which ruins it

That's from picking up the survivor, not from the reset.
You often pick up the survivor on an opposing angle to the trap, meaning the trap gets all funky about it and when it's reset/disarmed, it's relocated a couple inches away from the original.
Has nothing to do with the stone.0 -
