Will DC penalties return? Killer DCs are getting out of hand...

OT - about lose/loose, it’s because of lose pronunciation + especially in the past there were a lot of insults like “looooooser!!!”, which led to further errors. For the record I kept on writing it wrong as well, until I figured that “loose” IS a word, which means something else :P.

But well, a lot of us are not native English speakers, so that’s understandable I think... instead I wonder why a lot of them say “literally” when something is not literal, or why they say “I could care less”.. go figure :P

Will consoles have this test with dedicated servers now enabled on PS4?

Honestly, I don't think the DC penalty should return at all. DCing is a simple out of a match that is either completely devoid of fun or had other DCs in it (which also causes the match to not be fun). It has no different effect on the results of the match. If someone wanted to DC but didn't want the penalty, they could just stand there or let themselves be killed. It's useless.

Imagine playing 3 games as killer and having 2 of the survivors disconnect before the first gen even pops. I just kill the other two, report the dcs, and move on.

If they get the penalty working. I would love it back. From a killer and survivor standpoint.

I hate people DCing when I'm playing survivor as it ducks the team. And as a killer it just ruins the round. Grow up. Play matches through. Get peanlized for being a little [BAD WORD] who didn't like the map or the killer or the whatever you took issue with.

First of all, I agree with you and I hope they do something so people can’t d/c at will, or at least get penalized for it, or maybe even a fix where if someone dcs the game brings a new player in. No idea how that would work but I get screwed at least once a day by some survivor dcing on first or second down, screwing the rest of the team over.

Now that said, each person paid for the game and have the liberty of playing when and how they want. I just wish it didn’t affect the rest of the players in the match.

As a killer, i show only mercy if one player disconnects and if i dont have an offering that gives me 100% bp to everything.

Every time i lose against survivors, i think to myself.... wait im just one perk away from making u suffer.

Wont tell u anything about the build tho, the build is off-meta which is the reason why it works soo well.

I dont know why u are soo mad at people that DC.Its just fast bloodpoints and not less.

They need to fix their game and balance it properly to even think about a dc penalty unless they want to alienate the majority of their playerbase. DC's are so frequent that its expected and to permanently ban a user is not a smart choice, especially with how often crashing while loading happens and other bugs that dc a player mid match.

They should instead incentivize players to not dc, more bloodpoints at end of match, a certain amount of shards per number of matches successfully completed, cosmetics for not having dc'd X amount of times per Rift length, etc... Players not having fun during a specific match is always bound to happen in any game, but directly removing a player from the playerbase is at net negative when they could give that player a reason to stay in a match a few more minutes to progress towards something they want.

I see a survivor dc every other match

No proof killer didnt gave connection issues, while a survivor dc after a down or first hook is insanely common and clear to see.

Killers are hurt wayy more by survivor dc and more often . Survivors is just a 4 person automatic victory plus quitter and escape bonus and you keep tools. While the killer always looses add ons WHEN A SURVIVOR DC.

Honestly I want perma bans for survivor children who cant wait 20 seconds to die on a hook
