The "gentleman's code" for killers and survivors
This post is merely to state that there are "gentleman" rules or code, BUT THE FACT THAT THEY EXIST DOES NOT MEAN they are in game rules that have to be followed all the time, stop pretending like not following those means you're playing with or against a "toxic" or "bad" player
Gentleman's code for killer:
- Don't tunnel (this doesn't apply for when a survivor runs straight to you when they have just been unhooked, even though when that happens I just slug the dumb one, almost never hook him) (this doesn't apply towards toxic teabaggers)
- Don't camp (this doesn't apply towards toxic teabaggers)
- Don't insta mori on second hook (this doesn't apply towards toxic teabaggers)
- Don't slug for the 4k mr tryhard, hahahaha (suggested by @Hamtroll)
- Don't tunnel the no mither guy (suggested by @Yung_Slug)
Gentleman's code for survivor:
- Don't bring more than 2 toolboxes to lobby since last Ruin Nerf
- Don't steal your teammate's item off the chest or dropped cause of FD
- Don't drop shack pallet unless you have to cause you'd be doomed if you didn't
- Help the others unless you have a challenge or in death hook
- Don't bring in huge maps offerings
- Don't body block a survivor's path when he's in a chase
- Don't spam quick action's sound to get the killer's attention
- Don't instaunhook
- Don't bring in purple or pink keys (suggested by @Yung_Slug)
- Dont loot chests if someone brought in a coin and you know they have Plunderer's. Especially if they waving and teabagging near you while you loot it (suggested by @yandere777)
The objective of this post is not to ask you to follow the "gentleman's code" for both roles, but something a bit opposite, I want people to know that NOT FOLLOWING this code doesn't make you a toxic player, all of these are valid strategies and following this "code" is merely a way of stating you care for the other human that is playing, but then again, this is just a videogame, so, chill people... Anyone can do as they please WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE CONSECUENCES, for example, don't expect for you to bring 3+ toolboxes and not be facecamped, tunneled or insta moried, don't sandbag your teammates and expect others not to do the same to you, don't bring in a key and expect not to be tunneled or camped.
Any "code" you'd like me to add?

9. Don't bring in [BAD WORD] map offerings(The Game, Hawkins, Lery's - too frequent as is)

I love them all as both roles, but that's just me, hehehe.

I will now be offering all the indoor map offering that I can. I will be targeting them on the blood web too!

Thanks for that, I needed a good chuckle.

Added it for killer, hehehe

Survivor: Don't bring a key and expect not to be tunneled.
Killer: Don't tunnel the No Mither guy (unless he has a key or is acting cocky).

Damn, I'm adding those

Dont loot chests if someone brought a coin. Someone obviously has plunderers and you just ######### them over. Especially if they waving and tbagging near you while you loot it

What I usually do is 99 the chests for the BP, I found it, 99% of the BP are mine now, hehehehe. He can open it to get a better item though
0 -
Sadly nobody else does that lol. You sir are a god for being nice enough to let me get items

Same

Does that actually work - meaning does it determine the item on opening or when the chest is first touched? Anyone know?
1 -
Yes, I've done it in several games with my usual 4 men SWF, 3 of us 99 chests and the plunderer's gamer opens them all getting green+ items in all of them without wasting all his time in opening them all 100%.

Thanks good to know!

I have let people die on hook for doing this... not gonna lie.
All 2 of them. In the same game. We all died. XD
@Carlosylu I don't like the shack pallet one. People are too protective of pallets. They are there to eat a health state for you. They can't be wasted when used that way.
"I went down but I didn't waste shack pallet"
"Yeah, but now I gotta go save your ass from the hook, meaning I can't work on gens, if you used the pallet we could have 2 more gens finished by now, but since the killer is chasing claudette over there and I gotta save you, only the rando over there is working on gens...maybe."
I don't care if the pallet is godly, don't take a hit you don't need to

Taking hits should take priority over using a good pallet.

A pallet so good it leaves you injured. 👍

I think I didn't write enough about that one, I think shack pallet should only be used to stun or prevent a hit from the killer if you're gonna be downed on next hit regardless of in which hook state you're in, that's what I meant by "doomed", and all of this based in this logic:
You can loop the killer 2 "rounds" if you take 1 hit and don't drop pallet but continue to loop the killer there and then drop the pallet to prevent yourself being downed cause of 2nd hit by doing so.
I just can't stand people who loop 1 "round", drop pallet without being injured even once and then proceed to leave the shack useless and without using the 2 god loop "rounds" the shack can actually provide.
Is this better?

No man, he (@Waffleyumboy) means this:

What's the different between
1- looping shack and droping pallet before first hit, but continue to loop shack until hurt and goes to another loop.
2- loop shack until hurt, then loop until pallet drop.
Answer- you only get 1 chance in the second. If you miss a turn or something in the first one, you can eat a hit and reset the loop. Meaning you can go for more agressive loops since you aren't hurt yet and have a safe net.
If you're already hurt, you can't take chances. Can you reach the other loop without a pallet? Maybe. But is it worth it to risk it?
Which is why it's better to use pallets when you're healthy. Because you can risk more while healthy.
If you wait to be injured before dropping pallets, it's harder to risk extending your loops and connecting adjacent stuff to it.
Which is why my policy is " If this pallet will save you a hit, drop it"

The difference radicates in the psychologycal impact of a non dropped pallet in the killer's behaviour, a killer who respects pallets is gonna give you 1-3 extra loops every time they stop close to the pallet cause they think you're gonna drop it, and a killer who doesn't respect pallets will hit you but you're gonna get a free stun out of dropping the pallet on his head now that you know he's not gonna respect it. If you drop it before being hit the killer will destroy it and then you can still loop him around shack, but there will be no pallet to apply pressute to the killer on those next loops after the pallet drop

As killer, open the door for the survivors
0 -
To then hook a survivor and activate Blood Warden! MUAHAHAHAHAHA

I rather play with the mindset of "the killer will play optimally" instead of "he will respect the pallet".
If you see that the killer is respecting every pallet, by all means, loop until he learns better.
But good killers want the pallet to drop, and in my experience, they will attack you under it. Because getting "a hit and a stun" beats "no hit and no stun"(with a pallet dropped)
And getting a stun now and getting rid of the pallet early still beats no stun and the pallet stays to late game.

I think the survivor one is ridiculous. Might as well not bring in any items. A good one for both roles should be "Prolong the match for as long as possible. "
