How does The Wraith's bell work?
I've searched around and I haven't really found any proper explanation for how The Wraith's bell works. How does he go invisible? Why was he given the bell from the entity? I'd love to know anything I can about it, I'm open to theories as well

How he goes invisible: he smacc the bell. He bing the bong. I dunno.
Why he has the bell: The Wraith needs a way to go in and out of invisibility that gives a distinct audio cue for survivors, can be held in one hand, and activated while holding Azarov's Skull in the other hand. A bell was the obvious choice.

There is a theory that Wraith using a bell to travel to another plane of existence called Spirit world. Survivors also travel there during sacrifice. Entity appears from there to take survivors. You can see special effect in all of those actions: black-orange sparkles.

I wouldn't consider it a theory if the game explicitly says it in the power description.
Nurse and Wraith both travel through the Spirit World with their powers, which is why they can both be burned out of their power using flash lights.
Note that Spirit does not enter the Spirit World, but instead the Ethereal Plane.
Nurse and Wraith enter the Spirit World. Spirit's World is not Spirit World. Make sense? Of course it doesn't.

Wraith's Bell, like pre-mentioned, enters the spirit world, but Wraith does not fully enter the Spirit World, which limits how much he interacts in the real world, being able to slightly uncloak to be able to do certain things, like how he can kick generators and pallets.
Like someone else mentioned about Spirit not entering the spirit world, in the spirit world, you can still see the survivors, whilst in the Ethereal Plane has more restrictions than the Spirit world
