When are sounds going to be fixed?

When? Is is going to be before the next chapter release or is it going to be apart of that chapter which in itself brings around 8492492391739181919373839291919.69 more bugs?

It only bothers 20% of playerbase (or close to 10% considering que times) so its not high priority.

Never, cause they break them every chapter release and when they "fix" them they make them worse than they were before. I'm starting to believe they are doing it on purpose to buff the players that can't loop if there life depended on it and hides in plain sight with p3 Claudette.

This may have been an area addressed and it’s not a mistake. A lot of headphone wearing killers were not affected by blinds because they could follow the other sounds, like grass rustling.

This also severely handicaps Spirit who has a blind power.

It's not just the footsteps though. All sounds are muted in various ways. Played a match on Haddonfield earlier, and I thought the generator in the basement area of the one house was untouched, when in actuality it was halfway done. The sounds coming out of there, and similar effects on Springwood and other places where you have a stairway by the gen, are horribly muted.

Most Survivors now sound like they have at least Iron Will T1 on, and footsteps are almost nonexistent. It's been this way for a while though, so I have 0 hope of them ever fixing the sounds. All you hear is "Soon" and then another patch comes through breaking even more of them. I have yet to throw on Stridor to see if that helps, but it may be the only solution as I do utilize sound more than sight to track Survivors.

*Sound for killer has been removed

Only survivors are supposed to hear.

The issue is with the Audio Occlusion system they added several patches ago. They've just never gotten it correctly, so anytime there's any wall in the way of anything sounds just do not exist rather than get muffled / lowered.

Sound occlusion alone is only one issue. Players (both killer and survivor) sometimes simply make no sound to begin with. Its easily observeable on slugs, injured survivor, and footsteps in general.

I've noticed the slug thing very frequently. Super fun having Claudette slugged in dark grass with 0 sounds.

They "fixed" it mighty quick when the music was quiet and killers could hear survivors. I think it only took them a week if that.

There is no sound bug, the language used the first time this "bug" appeared was "ADJUSTED sound" you don't say ADJUSTED when you FIX a problem. They always intended to make survivors almost silent and it is obvious when you look at how it works.

Not in chase? you can hear survivors walking and rustling grass or breathing

    In chase? silence..

I think they nerfed sound so they can make custom chase music and have it work the same no matter how quiet it is.

Look at the new chase music for the doctor compared to the base chase music, if they didn't destroy sound, you would be able to hear survivors way easier on the doc compared to hillbilly for example.

Sound is horribly bugged on killer side. Can't hear most of the stuff that I do when it's in my face. Carry a survivor? Can't hear them wiggling. Kick a generator? Can't hear it. Hell, even opening lockers makes it sound like the sound is coming from behind my head. Get stunned as spirit? Can't hear her wail of pain.

But they don't care because it's not exactly game breaking for killers.

The funny thing is it's random, i've played against people in a game who are totally silent no footsteps or groans of pain when i find them again they are atleast making groans of pain. It's so frustrating, survivors don't even need iron will cause they get passively whenever the game feels like it.

Lol not as fun as having a p3 slugged claudette at Sanctum of Wrath. She basically bled out as I couldn't hear her or find her at all.

I hate how, since the game is so sound-based, you need to keep the volume of the game high and get to hear those damn tambourines so loud. Can't even talk to people in party or Discord because you don't hear anything smh

They said on the stream that it is tied to a lot of other things like animations so it won't be ever totally ok unless they reprogram the game from scratch in a different way.

As survivor, I was playing Feng. I was injured with NO IW on. (I have plans to get it, but Jake and I gotta talk first) and throughout the match (I don't run SC or IS, so I usually stay injured until I find someone to heal me or someone finds me) I would be crying pain sometimes, then the rest, most often, I had zero noise, it was like I had IW. I play on console, and haven't had nearly as many sound issues until recently. Had the same issue with gens from both sides. As killer I have lost many peeps due to ze sounds, but half the time it was IW (ofc I checked postgame, silly)

Just what I gathered from playing both sides this past week alone.
