“You slug....
We disconnect.
Trash slugger”
so two games in a row as and I let them rush the first gen in the first match then applied pressure and stopped them they all DC at the same time then I get that followed by a “enjoy the depip” but I got brutal so I didn’t loose anything they did right?
I really don’t think “bullying” the killer with the “threat” of giving up if I don’t play to the survivor rule book is fun or intelligent.
please fix how easy it is to reach red rank survivor I’m a rank 3 killer right now. When SWF groups just DC because I out play them it’s irritating and unfunny.

Slugging isnt outplaying survivors. Its outdoing basic game mechanics and just scummy play as killer. The only thing that needs to be fixed is that slugging shouldnt be possible like it actually is. Its not fun to lay on the ground half the game til a sweaty killer got his "will".
4 -
Bull, I’m not letting allowing a survivor to do objectives/be altruistic right in front of me, I will slug if there’s an immediate threat present
37 -
No.
Slugging is part of the game.
It doesn't need to change because you dislike it.
Grow up.
52 -
It's because survivors are spoiled children..never forced to get better, always get their say in things..and they're used to this and that breeds the low skilled players to failing to understand how killer functions
17 -
You cant slug, Camp, Or tunnel
Every survivors is somehow entitled to 3 lives but not right in a row. They need 9 hooks as a team in a row THEN anyone can be removed from play. But we only have 3 minutes to do so before the gens are done as killers. And the last person gets the hatch for free
20 -
That sounds about right, thanks for the education I know better now
4 -
It may be scummy, but you try and do well with basically any killer now without slugging at least a bit. You can't. Against good survivors if you don't slug with killers like Oni, Myers, Huntress you just lose because you have absolutely no pressure if you don't slug.
7 -
The best advice I can give is to shrug it off. It's been hard learning this lesson, but you just gotta ignore them man. Play how you want.
4 -
They can keep dcing cause unlike slugging it is bannable.
6 -
I didn't see any problem here as the killer is just doing his job -> apply more pressure, slow down gen progressing.
Same for survivor, there is no gen rush as survivor just doing their job.
Stop blaming both side for completing their objective. Blame those toxic and BM mind set.
If people still complain slugging, I have a suggestion, learn to get better and don't get caught. After all, killer cant slug you if they can't catch you.
3 -
You realize devs and mods said to slug to apply some pressure?
18 -
Why does deerstalker exist then if its "Outdoing basic game mechanics"?
11 -
4 mins is not half the game.
0 -
Imagine there was a perk that could let you get up when you are slugged? Oh wait its called unbreakable.
Seriously grow up, Devs said to slug to use pressure, and no that Ruin is nerfed, killers won't play "nice" anymore so grow a pair kid.
6 -
Slugging is great pressure though. It's not scummy and it's not outdoing game mechanics. If it was then why are there perks for it?
I'll slug people solely for the fact 1 person slugged, 1 on the hook, and 1 in chase what can the 4th person really do except get off gens at that point I'm in a good position. I'm sorry that nerfs to killer force killers to actually play outside the conventional means of survivors having fun, but that's how efficient killers have learned to live with it. Also not sorry.
2 -
Play how you want.
It doesn’t even need to be discussed.
3 -
It's also not fun if all gens are done in 5min without any counterplay. As long genrush exists then slugging will exist aswell.
1 -
I personally sympathise with slugging killers (I am one myself) here, but I am afraid its a losing battle for them. History has shown that when survivors disconnect enough versus something, the developers will eventually cater to them, and remove or nerf said thing.
Its just a matter of time, so enjoy it for as long as it lasts.
2 -
But you know? Slugging is cuz gen rush, genrush its cuz you have a killer in map. If gens werent made such fast at least me i wouldnt slug
0 -
If they "nerf slugging", I probably quit the game. Because that would actually obviously underline that they give survivors all the crutches they yell for.
2 -
desperate time calls for desperate measures.
and its a valid strategy.
2 -
I don't mind when used for pressure after a few gens go but people have been slugging on the first down. I've seen multiple bleed out at this point. It's actually insane lol

Get good
2 -
Well , if you think about it , the same can be said about "gen rush" (among other things).
Why do the devs need to change gen times because killers "dislike it"? They don't need listen to them, right? Well , they are doing a good job so far then. Well done devs.
Seems like a lot of killers need to grow up.
0 -
Correct. They don't need to change anything because someone dislikes it.
But they do need to address the problems people bring up when they ask for gen speed to be changed.
Go on, show everyone you actually listen to people and say what they say the problem is. Unless you can't because you don't actually listen to people, only to those that agree with you. Meaning this little post of your is just a childish "wah wah, if I can't have it, you can't either" rant.
Go on, I'll fact check.

I can see that you are clearly an unbiased killer main.

If slugging is a beneficial move on the killer's side when he downs a survivor, he has all the right to do so, and should do so. It's not a scummy playstyle. Especially with the fast gen times at the moment. I guess if the game ever received a second objective, then they would have to nerf slugging big time.
Unless of course you want to get rid of more and more killer players to extend survivor queue times. Then I guess nerfing slugging is the right thing to do at the moment.

Welcome to DBD
Where survivors DC because they didn't run unbreakable and totems are "hidden"
2 -
Are you just sitting by the hook slugging the unhookers? Or are you talking about patrolling, finding a survivor, downing them, and then just patrolling and finding another one.
0 -
You hit the nail on the head. The game is problematic because there are killers on the map!
0 -
These statements just cause toxicity. It already exist on an individual level. It has nothing to do with the side you choose to play. If you are a toxic player, you will do so in the role you play.
These types of stereotypes only cause a bigger divide in the community.
4 -
Ironically, slugging creates a second objective for survivors I guess.
4 -
I got called a camper because two survivors followed me to the hook while one "hook teched" me (which is absolute ######### by the way devs pls) and got called a camper because I didnt leave. Like what are they expecting me to do there?
0 -
If you're allowing me to slug effectively, then that's on them to spread apart and prevent me from getting momentum.
Survivors were gen-rushing me in this game:
However, they got a little too confident with their God pallet at the shack, and it all snowballed from there. Luckily I was Doctor because I wouldn't been able to lock out tiles and make survivors waste time snapping out of it. 😁

I see nothing wrong with slugging, I’m basically giving you a second chance to live
1 -
Trying to bleed people out is dumb, but really...its never too early to start applying pressure. If I can get a 2nd person down, I'm not just gonna let em run along because X amount of gens havent been done yet and I'm not in a bad position yet.
0 -
Wouldnt really consider altruism a 2nd objective. It's doing the same for survivors that unhooking is doing, the only difference being the killer isnt taking the time to pick up the survivor. Its typically while one survivor is picked up that the rest of the team can get easy saves on another survivor who's hooked. Leave someone on the ground and that save isnt so easy.
1 -
Downing multiple survivors in quick succession isn't outplaying them
???
1 -
you havent been hooked so you are good there and other survivors are suppose to get you up.
They can even see your aura....

While I do agree that slugging is not fun for survivors and should not exist (survivors should have one free Unbreakable to counter slug abuse), slugging for a minute or two to apply pressure is fine, and sometimes necessary.
0 -
I get that but I can't pretend like I haven't seen them just leave someone on the ground with absolutely no vision on another survivor. DS wasn't a factor in a majority of those I've witnessed as well. I don't mind slugging and I get it's necessary sometimes, but I don't want to see a passive unbreakable being introduced and I feel it's coming at this rate.
If it was like one time per match before a certain amount of gens are done, I guess it's fine. I just don't think a passive unbreakable is balanced after all 5 gens pop. That would be too much IMO.
0 -
Could it be possible that the killer saw something you didnt? I'm not saying its not possible that the killer merely didnt know when its appropriate to slug and when its a waste of time, but sometimes things like discordance lets you know when your attention is needed elsewhere to prevent a gen from popping while your busy getting to a hook.
0 -
Slugging is high risk, high reward play its either you succeed and win the game or lose all the pressure you had put on.Although, getting slugged is definietly not fun it is very boring to play againts full slug builds. Also there are alot of killers that thinks camping and tunneling is justified because you need that pressure to win the game.Yes,you can do it all you want, not gonna stop you from playing the way you want to play your game. However you have to know that its very unfun to play againts killers who does that just to get their consistant 4k's.Atleast admit you are doing something pricklish and move on.
0 -
For some matches that was definitely a possibility, but I'm 100 percent sure of a few matches that were just not even debatable. I've been left on the floor after leading the killer away from my entire team. I was basically never hooked the entire match a couple times earlier today.
0 -
I know I've been saved from death hook because the killer was running an obsession perk and didn't wanna kill me off too soon. There's really a number of reasons players might act certain ways that sometimes might not be initially clear. It could also be a simple missplay. He could have suspected a gen was being worked on and about to pop that was nowhere near completing.

The issue is it's not like the typical stereotype as its pretty much everywhere..I have met some awesome survivor players but sadly the respectable types are rather sparce
0 -
Stereotypes don't have to be negative, rather they are just qualities we assign to a group as a whole while not allowing that each is an individual who have their own traits and behaviors.
It sux that you have such a high occurrence of running into these types of survivors. I have been lucky myself as killer. I rarely get any negative messages. Even on games I got outplayed. Still get the occasional teabag. But it is fun to put them on the hook. But that is all the attention I will give them.
0 -
The issue is..that when something becomes unusable or too strong and easy..you get those types..and it really sucks when it feels like the dev team turns a blind eye to issues the rest of the community sees way before them..its quite annoying
0 -
Lol. Why are they using a BnP with a saw and sabo toolbox?
I think most rational survivors understand strategic slugging. It's when they try to slug everyone before hooking anybody that it's annoying.
0 -
Sometimes the reasoning isn't obvious. The survivor on the ground might not know you saw their teammates scratch marks and could just assume your being a dick. One reason I feel like there's so much bitterness is the gap between the killers reasoning and the survivors understanding.
I remember playing Vanity mirror Myers one time and being in the perfect position between a hooked survivor and all 3 teammates circled around. No one knew I saw EVERYONE and I knew they were the ones who were on the clock and had to act first. We had ourselves a little standoff, lol. To me, it was obviously the right play. To them, I was just a camper and their presence was coincidence.
