Neither side is hard to pip on.
I commonly see people say “survivor pipping is too easy” and my first reaction is “it isn’t really hard on either side”, I currently am rank 1 on both sides and although I occasionally get a de-pip for a game ending too fast on both sides, getting that pip back on either side Isn’t hard.
I’m mostly making this thread in hopes that people will acknowledge that neither side is difficult to pip as:

At start, no, neither side is. But when you get to red ranks, the requirements to pip are actually quite a bit different between killer and survivor in terms of difficulty.

I’m sitting at R1 on both sides, it isn’t difficult.

When pipping as a Killer it depends on what Killer are you playing as, look at poor Plague, she can have a 4k and still depip or safety pip, and now look at the Legion, they don't even have to kill anybody and still pip.
But still, matchmaking is going to change and ranks will mean nothing.

Good for you, so am I. That doesn't stop the fact that it is considerably easier to pip as a survivor than it is as killer when you hit red ranks.

That sounds like a personal problem, and doesn't refute what I said. You have to accomplish significantly more to pip, in red ranks, as killer, than you do survivor.

Because killer's pips depends on the killer:
Its near impossible to rank up as the plague with using her power even with perfect games.
While with legion you can rank up by doing effectively anything with 0 kills.
Killer's ranks are not weighted properly so that statement is entirely dependent on the killer your using.

So you’re basically saying that people finding killer harder to pip as is just their personal problem then? Obviously that isn’t what you said but I can very easily apply the same logic to “killer being harder to pip on”.

Matchmaking being bugged on either side would obviously hurt your potential, that isn’t a problem with the ranking system necessarily though but more so a matchmaking issue.

From what I remember and please correct me if I am wrong but:
Doctor from what I remember is above average when it comes to pipping as he can only get m1 hits(The hit survivors with primary emblem) and can both get into chases while ending them quickly by stunning survivors at pallets with his power(For the chaser emblem).
Effectively the emblem system is baised towards tracking/Basic attackers killers due to 2 emblem rewarding you for both of those while one effectively punishes you for using "instant downs"(Either grabs/exposed/broken).
Legion breaks it as him hitting people with his power is actually weighted so his hit and runs don't count as lost chases and as normal hits(Even though they don't count as normal hits for perks).

I’m not 100% sure on the legion part but you’re correct about Doc being above average at pipping, I however have also made R1 with several other killers (hag and trapper are some examples).

The thing is.....the only possible way to derank as survivor is to absolutly anihilate the killer which i think is kinda bs. As killer u pretty much derank if u dont get a 4k (red ranks)

If you get tunneled then you can de-pip or if you are face camped.

I didn't say that in the least. If you manage to depip as a survivor, one of three things happened. You were camped, you were tunneled, or you threw the game.
If you do a gen or two and get a save or two, you will black pip, at the very least.
Contrary to killer, where you can 4k and STILL barely black pip at times. Stay civil and don't put words in my mouth.

I have a more difficult time pipping as killer. Plus a lot of killers give hatch or the gates if people dc or just if you survive long enough. Survivors don’t throw themselves on hooks for you lol

For the killer to facecamp you he needs to catch you first. I dont play solo. Most the time i play with atleast 1 friend. If the teammates are not complete potatos 3 gens pop before the killer even gets a hit on me. (No im no god. Survivor is just borderline op since the ruin nerf). Only way survivors lose is because red ranks are flodded with potatos since the devs give every survovor participation awards
