Outplayed I guess?

It’s sad that a lot of survivors will still heavily rely on SWF and cheap stuff to win even after the ruin nerf but oh well.

The funny thing is that survivor is going to act like he won just for escaping.

Had that happen to me too, as Michael Myers, I killed one Survivor on hook by playing normally, they 2 DC's and two kills, one DC'd and just insulted me as I hooked them, he tried to give the last person hatch but I killed them, told them "That didn't work out too well for you, did it." after.

They were so butthurt over a average match, no camping or tunneling, some people these days.

as now a newish killer rank 14 i had a rank 6 meg open a hatch with 1 gen left, trying to save a blendette. i had never even hooked meg before hand and i caught the rank 5 blendette just before she jumped in... sooooo sad how people like to ruin games!

@Peanits any news for a fix?

For the hatch specifically, no, but we are working on the first phase of disconnection handling (disconnection penalties) and hope to test it against shortly.

I'm really suprised that severs allowed you to get a grab in that first clip. From my experience servers deny about 60% of my grabs no matter how close I was.

I’ll be honest, I think implementing a husk system would be far more effective than any penalty system (though I would still love to see some punishments doled out.). Husks allow the game to progress normally, and it doesn’t matter if the DC was intentional or not.

With a husk, DCs will evaporate and become a rare occurrence since players can’t use it just to spite each other anymore.

Hey question, what should I do if a killer keeps doing the mori action, and canceling it over and over again for a long time? Will I be punished for DCing?

A husk system would have to be carefully implemented as there's plenty of ways it could in some way go wrong.

It's one thing if it can be left on the ground for the full bleedout duration, then the other survivor knows there's no point in picking them up and plan accordingly. But the actual "the killer can hook them even if they DC" part many people want could lead to some issues if not implemented carefully.

If it doesn't wiggle, immortal backpack that gives the killer as much time as they want to find the other survivor if it's 1v1 at that point. Just carry them around and drop when you find the other survivor. If they do wiggle, same thing - they wouldn't be in dying state anymore and would again be an immortal anti-hatch ... thing.

You still bleed out over time if they do that. A dc is a dc so yeah it'd likely count since its automated based on if you left at all not case by case review.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to my bleed out timer, I was just the last survivor and the killer kept starting a mori and canceling over and over like 20 or 30 times. So I just left I assumed every time they started the mori it canceled the bleed out. And I had things to do other than wait for a killer to actually kill me so I could move on to another game, with the limited time I did have.

That's not going to fix anything. 5 minutes for 1 game isn't a big deal, and for swf they will just go play a different game for anything over 20 minutes - then come right back.

You should balance the game around SWF, and give the same tools to solo's. Like add a voice chat feature, there has been many suggestions of adding a proximity chat feature, which yes is weaker than swf, but would be a fun alternative option.

This is why I suggested in feedback a 30 second "cool down" if the second to last player DCs so that cannot automatically happen.

I've literally only ever disconnected twice and this exact same situation was one of the two.

Happens way more then two times a day if you play for long sessions. Its almost a guaranteed if they are SWF, hell ill have 3 dc first 2 min of match to give the last hatch because they didnt like that they got outplayed and 1 on hook and another slugged.

Yesterday I had a lobby of TTV's, 3 dc on each of their first downs as i go to pick them up, they try to give hatch to last but they were all downed and dc'd fast enough it didnt spawn until only last survivor was left. i got the hatch and got the 1 kill with entity displeased. Another SWF lobby 3 toolboxes with BNP and a key, I bring a mori, outplay the TTV at a god pallet hiding my red stain and mori him, he dc's mid mori and his friends dc after him. I go to his stream to ask if anyone clipped that he bans me from channel and starts ranting on how any killer that brings a mori is trash. He ready's up for a new game, brings a skelton key and plays toxic as hell against a billy and ask why he is getting tunneled all match.

lol I'm surprised there hasnt been anyone saying "dont slug for the 4k then "

I would say the complaint is more about HOW they got the hatch, since this isn’t how the game design intended the hatch to work. There’s supposed to be a delay during the sacrifice animation, so what’s going on here is more akin to a bug exploit.

    Ruin nerf didn't change anything

    Oh boi I hope so.

If survivors DC hurt the survivors more maybe they would do it less then just to screw the killer because it's funny.

The only way this game gets any fixes is if survivors want it lol

So all of you would hate it if a survivor DCed so you could get hatch?

All I see in this thread are more mouthbreathing killer mains angry that they couldn't get a 4k. It's not enough to know that you basically won because the survivor had to "cheat" to deny you the 4k? How DARE the survivors subvert your glory.

It's a game. Y'all need to unclench and accept that sometimes ######### happens. I think you might start having fun again.
