Do you think it's bad or good?

This isn't a Survivor vs Killer or Time Played or Rank Matters topic.

A legitimate opinion of the games health, balances, bugs, rift, and your feelings towards it.

My main complaint is about dedicated servers. The connection is more stable, sure, but hit detection is all over the place.

It's really bad right now ngl

    1. Matchmaking is a mess
    2. Maps are unbalanced
    3. One side is definitely a lot less stressful than the other
    4. It's very poorly optimized
    5. Buggy servers
    6. Buggy hit detection
    7. Just bugs and glitches in general

The game is fun but sometimes the balance issues get annoying.

It's not good but it's not bad. The dev have made major strides in getting this game back to a good place,. Even if the killer side is still very stressful it's not as hopeless and daunting as it used to be.

The game only really comes into its own when you have most of the perk library, which means if you don't buy the DLC the game will infinitely less fun than it could be.

The biggest issue for me is this game presents itself as sort of changing at all times based on player actions such as offerings or skills. There are maps that killer sided or survivor sided, big, small, wide, long, loads of hiding spots, barely any. Loads of pallets. Large dead zones.

The idea that your match can change from typical to hard is further supported by things like moris and keys. They clearly had the intent for each side being able to tip the llaance with map modifying affects with things like hook placement modifer offerings and fog decrease/intensors.

Problem is we have had NO offering updates to spice up the games. NO new loot to spice up looting and survivor play styles. NO new enviromental interactables to break up the pallet loop fest for both sides. NO new gimmicks such as say...disadvantage enviromental aspects...like watery areas that give away foot steps for careless survivors.

That cripples it. The game is empty even though it set up with stuff that's clearly meant to be filled up as time goes on. Hell, the offering system is mostly just BP multipler at this point. Except in the blue moon you decided to run a map or want to get rid of your double diget stacks of coins.

Survivor is boring due to being too easy and killer is too stressful.

All the while the developers seem apathetic to the latter if not the former as well.

I'd love to be proven wrong but the QA and their overall dismissal of all killer criticism doesn't give me a lot of hope.

Way better than it used to be years ago.

That said, just because it's better doesn't mean it's good. It's still quite bad.

Survivor is still boring from being too easy and most killers are too weak.

It seems like it used to be extremely toxic something like a year ago but it has greatly improved since and is not in a pretty good state too. Games are usually balanced well for me and I can't wait for the matchmaking rework thing. I just play the game normally and do my best as either role, I can't always win but I don't mind it. Just need more practice myself.

Also the amount of bugs has greatly reduced as well, from what I remember. No more 3,2 man games, infinite loads and so many hitreg issues or see any cheating anymore at all.

This game needs major balance changes rather than bandaid fixes. Devs also need to listen to more killers' criticism rather than cater to the survivor mob that wants the game to be even easier for them. Not saying that all survivors are part of the mob, but a lot think the game is "too hard" when survivors clearly have the advantage and killers aren't even scary anymore, save maybe 2 or 3 killers.

1- All of the fun killers are paid.

2- LOTS of dlc (and the game is also paid).

3- Bought everything? Nice, time to spend hundreds of hours playing to get the powerful perks as your opponents.

4- Also the maps are unbalanced, mostly to the survivor side.

5- Arent killers suposed to be the dominant role on this game?

6- Matchmaking is a mess (just got paired with 2,2,3,7 being rank 13, just gave up playing before the last generator...)

7- Game is easy for killers rank 20-12 and impossible below this.

8- Its a pain for beginners to play assassin the first dozen games because the assassins are bad, invisible assassin? 2 seconds to uncloak, chainsaw? hitbox impossible, traps? they are visible one mile away and u can carry only one, trow axes? hitbox impossible (console), etc...
