"Console and PC need to be balanced separately "
What's your opinions on this statement?
And also when are you betting consoles are getting optimized? By bets in seven years when the games died

Just fix the game. Add m+k support.

I just want the game optimised.

I don't think balancing needs to be different, optimizing the game would already go a long way to even things out. Having it be the same game makes switching between platforms more convenient. I wouldn't want to relearn everything.
Only thing I'd like to see is KB&M support for console. I'd probably enjoy playing Killer on PS4 a lot more if that was a thing.

This game isn't as reliant on precision aiming, unlike Overwatch or Rainbow Six: Siege, so I'm fine with Dead by Daylight being balanced the same.
As for M&K on console, Get_Flanked has put it best: Unless you have a severely limiting disability, don't use M&K on console. Leave it to PC.

They don’t need to balanced separately but console needs a lot of attention in terms of optimisation it runs quite rough for example lagging, rapid frame rate drops, auto aim is broken, start up screen makes your console wanna blow up etc.

It is always good to have options. Heck, I play survivor with a controller on PC, so why not have a choice on console aswell?
Killers like Huntress or Nurse do require a fair bit of precision and imo it's a huge and noticable differnce whether you play on PC with KB&M vs console with a controller.

Killer is better on m+k, survivior is better on a controller. You should have a choice on all platforms.
Not that I really care, I play on PC anyway \_(;-;)_/

Compared to twitchy FPS games, they really don't and that was kinda the point.
And I've heard this, but I'm also looking at the follow-on effect. If DbD does it, then people will complain about other games not doing it, and like children will go "BUT THEY CAN!" then all of a sudden, the more casual console markets become flooded with M&K elitists.
I'm not saying that ALL M&K people are like this, but enough will infect the higher ranks of anything with a competitive scene.
It's just easier to have a blanket NO and be done with it.

Only thing that needs different balancing imo is nurse. If PC players think nurse is rare, good luck finding one on console. Nurse is just a pain to learn on console

It already started ehen Xbox added m+k support.
Imo, everyone should be able to play on whatever they want, unless it gives big unfair advantage. But if there is controller support for DbD on PC, then there should be m+k support on consoles too.
"Let people play how they want", thats the definition of "casual gaming", I think.

When you add competitive modes, though, that mentality does kinda get put on hold. And as far as I've heard, there has been no official M&K for console. I could be wrong, but then again, I've been playing console for 18 years, with Crash Team Racing as my first game back on the PS1, so I could be called a traditionalist in that sense.

I'd argue that playing Nurse and Huntress in particular at high levels does come close to twitchy shooters though.
If you want to argue that it doesn't matter and that there's no significant difference in using KB&M over a controller then I see no reason as to why console players can't have both.
As for the follow-on effect: There are already games supporting KB&M on consoles, I doubt DbD is going to be the game setting a precedent here.

There is official support on Xone, no idea how it works on PS, because, like I said, I play on PC.
Cant add it as an URL because it crashers, but here you have xbox support about m+k:

If I'm not mistaken, fortnite has it. And is one of the most played competitive games these days.
It's easier to not add m/k support to it, but it's also easier to not play.
Easier =/= better or right.
Easier shouldn't be a factor on what should/shouldn't be added

I'd rather them not be balanced differently. But sure add M&K support if it's possible. When I hop on PC with my controller, or play it on PS4 with controller I don't notice any difference balance wise...unless maybe I'm facing off against a Huntress, or Nurse. Huntress is a small difference (They aim slightly faster than on ps4) Nurse is a big difference because of insta turns, so less chances of you running towards them during a blink to avoid getting hit. Just about everyone else there isn't that much of a difference.

I haven't cared about Fortnite since Season 2 when shooting as just praying to R.N.Jesus. I apparently wasn't devoted enough.

Fortnite has seasons?

I'm not seeing the problem here.

Agreed

I'm still waiting for them to optimize the game for console. Ormond, Mother's Dwelling, and Hawkins have massive FPS drops. Some killers are much more difficult to play because of FPS drops such as Demogorgon, Huntress, and Nurse. They could completely bring back old nurse on console and you'd still rarely find her in a match. The game also stutters when I enter bloodlust. This one is the most frustrating of all because it usually means missing an easy hit and a chase gets extended which can sometimes mean the game.
