Disabled Survivors joining the Entity's realm

I've actually had disabled readers request one shots from me before, so I've played with this idea. Generally, people come up with ways around their disabilities. For example, a deaf person may not be able to hear what's happening around them, but they may be able to feel a heartbeat, and due to The Entity's influence, they may possess perks that allow them to see the killer or see better than other survivors.

I also feel like The Entity would purposefully fix a character's disability to give them more hope/emotions. I honestly don't see how a wheelchair-bound person could survive through trials.

Look at what the Entity did for Tapp. He was bleeding out from a gunshot, but the Entity patched him up, gave him some pain relief, and dried up his shirt. There is no way the Entity wouldn't be able to give the blind sight or the crippled mobility.

Could be like Bentley from sly cooper or the old wheelchair dude in happy wheels - the entity will attach rockets and stuff to the wheelchair for extra mobility,

There's a game called Identity V by the same company that has a character called The Mind's Eye. She's a blind survivor.
It's doable. Goes against the grain of survivors in this game just being reskins, but its doable.

I would actually love to see a disabled killer, like the blind guy from don't breathe, or even a disabled survivor, just to see what the devs could come up with and how the survivor would adapt, but gameplay-wise, I understand why wheelchair survivors probably wouldn't happen sadly.

That pretty depressing if you think about it, your able to see but your stuck being tortured forever

Yeah Tapp really had it bad... Cough Rin woulda been a better example cough.

Yeah, but Rin retained her injuries and is likely forced to feel that pain for either eternity or until she is no longer of any use to the Entity. Tapp didn't retain his.

Sadly, Tapp didn’t retain his gun. That empty holster on his hip has always been a burning question of “what if...”

It hurts to imagine a survivor rolling away from the killer and throwing down pallets

Don't forget Bill was dying too. Left for dead.
Ash also sustained injuries in his lore but was patched up when entering the Fog

I hate the idea of stories trying to “cure” characters with disabilities. It implies that we’re somehow lesser than or broken compared to abled bodies, and we’re not. It’s erasure of our identities that we have had to live with since birth.
I would personally love to see a disabled survivor in dbd!

A well known theory on what the entity's realm is is that all the survivors are dead, their souls stuck in this other dimension. If you had a disability, following this theory entering the entity's realm would fix any issues you have, from cancer to disabilities.

I feel like hurting the killer while intending to hurt them is strictly off limits in the entity's realm, his gun would probably just jam or dissolve into mist. Though it seems like you can still hurt the killers with the intent of escaping, like decisive strike, head on or pallets.
