Guys it's obvious why survivor hitboxes are the same.
If they were varied for each survivor you would never see any male survivors because the women are smaller and would carry a bigger advantage over all. Nancy would be god tier with how tiny she is.

Thank you! It was giving me anxiety how many people literally thought this was a valid question. Truly too much ignorance and bias on these forums sometimes...

Better question: why is the killer box bigger than survivors? All it does is make looping worse.
Can't argue logic either cuz legion is literally the same size.

Everyone knows females have smaller hitboxes... smh
Guys, are you even gamers?!
Obviously they have to be the same or there would be a disaster... Who would want to play David if they could play Nancy or Feng?

The same reason killer lunges are all the same range, hag or any killer with a knife would have to get way closer than say spirit or oni who have long katanas.
2 -
Oh I agree. But that's killer to killer. I'm comparing killer to survivor.
The survivors are already running in circles, looping for ages, pallet slams, window vaults, exhaustion perks, BT, all the other things people complain about. So why should they be able to walk around a corner faster than me? I just want to be able to wall hug at the same efficiency that they do. It will cut down on looping.

It'll also get rid of pallets faster and lead to survivors just running out of pallets cause killer will catch up faster, I'm sure there would be more pallets per map if that was the case and I personally don't want the age of double pallet jungle gyms to come back.

Well right now the detriment of killers is being looped while we have genrush meta going on. At this would put m1 killers closer to on par with the top tier killers.
No need to buff both sides. It's just helping to balance what was changed by the Ruin nerf.

I'm not understanding what you want. Do you want all killers to have smaller collision or certain ones?

Looping would be impossible without this.

"Women are smaller"

All killers to be equivalent to the survivors. That way survivors cant take corners faster than the killer. That's what looping is and why it's faster than straight aways. The survivors box is smaller than killers, so they can hug walls closer than killers and therefore can take corners faster (killer has to go further out to take the corner than the survivor) and those extra steps 4x per loop, over and over, add up to "looping" as we know it.
Make it the same for everyone and all of the sudden looping becomes more about pallets and windows than about taking as many corners as you can in a row efficiently.

I said it above but the part that applies here is that looping would then become about pallets and windows as it should be as opposed to the current form of looping where you take as many corners as you can to add time. And God forbid the killer swing early cuz you just added 2 more laps on the merry go round.

Looping is the meta, without it killers will get consistent 3ks without even needing a power. Isn't this obvious? Before looping was meta, killers were extremely powerful.

If they did that they'd have to up the amount of pallets and super safe tiles because killers would destroy survivors if that happened. It'd break the game and killers would just be op

Sorry I don't want to play pallet breaking simulator.

Yeah she's so wide with accurate hitboxes we'd never see her hips again.

Haha well evidently I'm the oddball out on that one. Personally I think there are plenty of killers that don't have to take corners to chase (hag, nurse, spirit) as these killers can use their power to avoid that component of chasing. Which is what makes them top tier killers. Making this change wouldn't help hag or nurse or spirit because they rarely are in a chase that requires them to loop repeatedly. They mind game.
Changing the killer box size would help put m1 killers on par with the higher tier killers. Sure it would make them stronger. But no stronger than a good top tier killer ya know? At least that's my opinion. Put all killers on par with each other will help increase killer diversity and make balancing easier later. If they are too strong, tweak it. But it would help put more killers on the same level. In my opinion. Which is clearly not the common opinion lol.

Killers shouldn't be m1 killers, they should have unique and possibly game-changing powers. Please don't encourage devs to make useless killer powers.

Freddy would be really really frustrating to go against, with his snares and his natural manlet size the d/c rates would sky rocket. I'd rather they buff killers in other ways like powers and change the maps so there aren't stupid tile set ups personally.

Haha I agree. But I don't think trapper is getting a new trap launcher anytime soon.
Perhaps some killers could have a different box than others? Killers that primarily m1. There's cool powers that assist the m1. Idk. Just saying I think it would help the weaker killers who clearly need some help, otherwise we would see more of them.

Trapper needs alot of quality of life and not be as addon reliant, i agree but he's just one of many like Leatherface, Clown, Wraith, Legion and Pig who all need some updates.
0 -
Lol. Once you get to a loop ya know who struggles? Leatherface, clown, wraith, legion, pig, trapper. Ya know who would benefit from a smaller hitbox to take turns faster and thus instantly making them better at their job?.... See where I was going with it? Lol. The ones who need "updates" are weak because they are forced to loop. Take that away and now they just have to eat pallets and windows and window loops and dead hard and stuff like normal. They just don't have to run in circles before the survivor is scared enough to use one.
3 -
Killers that are fine would benefit from it too like freddy for example where he already excels at dealing with loops, it's not that simple.

Survivors all have the same size hitbox, and it also confuses players that are using smaller survivors, then get hit by an attack they quickly call dedicated servers or connection issues.
Killer's have different sized hitboxes, so it looks cleaner when you hit them with a pallet or they interact with other objects (lockers, windows, generators, etc). However this causes problems for Killer's like Oni, and Clown (Clown has the biggest hitbox in the game right now). Where if you formula one loops, then they move nearly at the same speed as the survivor (the exact same in Clowns case) - making it impossible to catch the survivor.

I don't think that is correct, pretty sure all killers have the same hitboxes just like survivors being sausages, killers are just bigger sausages. If you could prove it, please do.

Despite the hitboxes,
Despite her booty, Jane is indeed smaller than most of the males.

I get window hit quite frequently as larger survivors, so it's not just hitbox misjudgment.

Why are surviviors sausages

Because you're 10-15% faster. Looping is literally the only defense against a killer once you're found and there are far too many tracking perks and abilities to make it more of a game of hide and seek.
0 -
I'm not discrediting dedicated servers, or connection issues entirely. I'm just mentioning it's not always the problem. When you play killer, you can see the difference between when it's because you hit the edge of the survivor hitbox, and when you get a hit via connection issues. It's harder to see as the survivor though, since you're preoccupied with the chase.

Of course I was just clarifying so that others don't get confused 🤗
