Well, I mean it would be crazy to not think they won't nerf his ability to literally just face camp people to death with 0 counter-play whatsoever. There is no way that is not getting dealt with in the remake process.
I imagine that other than that however, it will be buffs all around, unless BHVR mucks it up lol.

I think that they made pretty good job on the doc rework, I hope they will do something similar to poor Bubba, qol changes and huge addon changes.

There is a counter ..do gens survivors can do all of the gens before the survivor even dies

Thing is I REALLY like playing bubba, but only with certain add ons, so I never play him without them and I never really have those add ons so I can't play him.
If I had them at hand all the time, (Charge time and/or move speed addons) I would play him all the time, he would be one of my favorite killers.

Yeah dude, you are not going to counter argument this one. There is 0% chance that is still going to be a thing after the rework, far less offenders have been removed when it came time, this will be no different.
I should not have to explain the problems with it, they are self explanatory, but the only way to solve it is to rework him some, and a rework to buff him some is coming, it stands to reason that will be adjusted with it.

As long as he has a insta down that can move side to side he will be a great camper especially with insidious

I am pretty sure they will modify his basekit in some way to prevent his facecamping potential. Most likely will hurt his chase potential in the process, but I doubt the developers care.

Honestly even that is fine, like for example Hillbilly has strong camping power too- but it's not a literally inescapable camping method. There is a reason the people who were all "LOL PROTEST RUIN" all just took Bubba and face camped, because no one can do it to the level he can.
I am sure he will still have an instant down, and probably still be able to camp like a mofo, just I doubt it's going to be on the same level as current.

Hopefully not; but I have no doubt it will be addressed, the people recently abusing it because they are mad about killer changes probably helped reinforce that idea.
I want to see Bubba be really viable though; I really hope BHVR does not mess it up.

The only logical way to remove his facecamp capabilities is to make it so when he reaches 100% on his saw, it goes. Also, adding like a 5 second cooldown so he can't immediately rev up again. If that were to happen, he would need so many buffs to help his in chase potential. Whether it's by increasing his speed, acceleration, I don't know, but I do know it will make him more oppressive during chases and less while face camping.

Leatherface basekit is fine, it’s just Hillbilly who needs to be nerfed into the ground.

Try playing with PWYF and maybe Nemesis to pair with it. It makes him alot less addon dependent.
I use to use the same addon combo you do, but with the speed boost of PWYF, I was able to branch out and screw around with weaker addons or none at all.

He doesn't need a nerf, he needs a rework. Currently, unless you run nemesis+pwyf, his power is good only for facecamping. Giving him something that is actually good in a chase instead would be in the best interest of the players' base.

I wouldnt mind some variant of what you suggested. Maybe allow him to do similar feathering mindgames like Billy does without worrying about a cooldown when he doesnt actually activate the ability. Currently the only time I ever charge a saw and keep it charged during a chase is when I'm pressuring a survivor from making an early run before I saw a pallet. Gives them a little less distance. What if Bubba had a similar charge as Billy in that he can manually hold it at 95% or so? It would at least make campinng with a revved saw abit more of a pain in the ass while still allowing him to use the mechanic in chases.

Nurse was the only killer that I know of got an unexpected basekit nerf and that was because she actually broke the game.
While in the meantime weaker killers at the time like Freddy and Doc got some basekit buffs.
Leatherface is one of the weaker killers so unless I’m missing something, I don’t quite get the logic of believing they will nerf his basekit.

Yes, everything which actually works need to be nerfed to let you sit there, press M1 and relax.

I hope they will realize someday to not listen to the community when it's up for the game Balance. All this trash community wants is easy game for survivors, a impossible match for killers with massive nerfs. Disgusting.

As @Nameless mentioned, the only killer whose base kit they have nerfed alongside an add-on rework was the Nurse, who was the uncontested strongest killer in the game. They're not going to do that to a killer like Leatherface, who almost everyone (including the devs, most likely) considers to be mid-tier at best.

the less effective killer gets, the cheesier the tactics they will use get. EVERY killer seems to face camp now that ruin is gone.

I personally don't like bubbas that do nothing but build bloodlust, chainsaw and basement camp but I can do something about that. I can get better at vaulting, routing or not get downed near the basement. I know bubba is a weak killer so Id rather they not make him any weaker.
Also the more likely they will use a meta killer or leave the game. I always laugh at the people who complain all they see are spirit and billy. "You made it this way!"

But holding the saw up is one of the few bits that require skill to know when to use it.... I wouldn't want him dumbed down for it.

Leatherface will 100% be receiving the Freddy treatment, he was one of the two Killers that got rushed out (the other being Freddy).
You can probably expect his power to be completely different; neither a nerf or a buff. Just a change.

LF’s chainsaw is a balanced version of Hillbillys. Instadowns are incredibly powerful that’s normally why they come with restrictions;
Haunted grounds - time limit
Make your choice - time limit
Devour hope - Need 3 hooks before totem destroyed
Myers - time limit, needs to stalk first
Ghostface - time limit, needs to stalk first
Oni - Time limit, needs to collect blood first
Leatherface - Unlimited uses and on demand chainsaw, but slows him down making it harder to hit and a hefty time penalty if you miss
Hillbilly - Unlimited uses and on demand chainsaw. Still able to keep pace with a survivor while using it and only a minor penalty for a missed swing.
You’re not meant to be getting an instadown on every hit which is what any decent Hillbilly gets. Killer mains have a warped view of balance.

You can't really nerf Leatherface, they might work on his camping ordeals, but besides that, I think he'll either get a helpful rework (even though what he does is aligned to movies), either that or buff him.

What are you talking about? There is absolutely counterplay. Mettle of Man/Styptic, and Borrowed time. I've gotten many people off the hook from a facecamping Leatherface with a full revved chainsaw.
Freddy wasn't really "rushed". It was moreso, they had this great idea, that on paper sounded awesome. They released it, and didn't give it a chance. Survivors said "OMG OP", even though it was weaker than Wraith...and they nerfed him without even giving him a fair shake. People found him annoying to go against, even after the nerf...so they reworked him, to get rid of the key annoyances...and people now find him annoying because he actually has killing potential. Go figure.

Hi, I'm a Killer Main; and Nurse is still the most powerful killer in the game. Her skill floor is just higher. Her skill CEILING is just as high.

I’m not arguing that she’s not the best I know she is but the cool down REALLY hurt her it not only takes away map pressure as it’s her main form of getting somewhere but it also takes you out of the groove when playing her in dbd 3 seconds is along time especially if you need to wait 3 seconds ever time you blink it adds up

I never used omega blink lol and I play on console so her downsides are even more apparent to me her base kit was fine before the nerf it was the addons that needed a rework not her..and you do get your first blink back but that’s still 3 seconds you need to wait.. she’s the slowest killer in the game so to not use two blinks to get around your either going to have to use 2 blinks and keep map pressure but lose chase potential or only use 1 blink and lose map pressure either way it’s a massive nerf to her survivor main and if you can’t see that then you are blind

It can sometimes help you trade hooks, but if leatherface wants a kill and camps he will always get a kill, period. If you risk it with borrowed, more often than you trading hooks, he will get 2 hooks out of it or just go back to camping that person to death and now you have to come to that danger zone to get the guy crawling away which might let him get another down and suddenly pressure into a 4k.
If a leatherface is camping, there is nothing that can really be done about it 95% of the time. He will get at least one kill.

That’s what kinda gives him tier though... if he actually gets a hook people won’t hook dive against him allowing him to maintain momentum at the risk it’s all for nothing... really they can’t go that route especially after the ruin nerf. Either the survivors or the killer has leverage with the killer’s power and it should be the killer who has the leverage. Leatherface needs it for high ranks fundamentally. The only thing I can see nerfed isn’t insidious but holding charge on chainsaw so no way to juke it from that for actual facecamping with zero timing. It should be more charge and go with some ability to cancel early but too late = failed.
