Dedi. Servers are worse

Am I the only one that thinks that Dedicated Servers are Far Worse than Peer to Peer?

I understand the purpose and it was to make Lag Switchers not a thing anymore; it can still happen. A laggy killer or survivor can still get away with Stupid stuff, because, say, A Killer has bad ping. The survivors registering to the server and to The Killers screen; they're still in that spot where they were like.. 6 seconds ago. On the Survivors screen, the killer has just been moving in the same direction for those 6 seconds, and all of a sudden, they're down where they were standing, and the killer doesn't even know where the survivor went down.

Not to mention that this is a game where the Milliseconds matter. Dead hard; you need to time that Just right, sometimes. Vaulting (Oh my God ) where you're on the other side on your screen, but not the killer who happens to be 20 more miles away from the server as the survivor is 20 miles Closer. And God Forbid you're in an area where the nearest server is like.. far enough away where you Have to endure 150+ ping on Every Match.

I personally don't think dedicated servers has any place in a Time-Important game like this

There are a *lot* of problems with dedicated servers. The movement changes tested in the last PTB seemed to help them a lot.

I'd still rather get into a game and know my ping it good than have to leave game after game in a row trying to find one without 1k ping though cause they're playing on McDonald's WiFi. I also don't have to worry about it showing green ping then lagging horribly because some idiot is using a VPN to get easy games where the survivors lag out.

No, you're not alone. It's quite clear.

Never forget that Dedicated Servers were the community's biggest "demand" for years. This is what happens when BHVR caves to whatever the community circlejerk decides is the "real problem".

Wait for the movement changes they just tested. They were really responsive. Did not get a single hit through a pallet stun like those that happen in the live game all the time.

I see no issue here. Dedicated Servers which would be working fine would be great - but this is not the case.

I just hope they end this "test" of Dedicated Servers, but it seems to be a big fat lie that it was a test.

Even tho, they got better lately, they are still not ready to go and I would prefer Peer to Peer.

It might affect other regions, but on eu with some grab exceptions and ever so often a bad hit they are working seamlessly
