Is anyone even still trying?

Considering how skewed the balance is in general, is anyone still trying to actually play?

    kinda.

im not tryharding, but ill still try to win

and if i dont, oh hey. that happens.

im only gonna be triggered when something happened i literally couldnt control - such as a hook rescue grab being cancelled or auto aim screwing me over.

or a gen popping before i could even walk over there cause the map is gigantic and they all had toolboxes and hugged the gen together to get it done in like 20 seconds.

At least you still have the option to try.

Can't get past the Offering screen for 5 days now.

The people that aren't garbage have no problem playing without ruin so yes. The babies throw tantrums on the forum or go IG and have mixed results with facecamp/tunnel. God forbid people could learn from their mistakes.

So unless you're playing one of the few killers that actually do have serious balance issues rn like clown, demo, etc. you need to stop moaning and actually improve.

I half-ass it a lot. I meme around. I'll start walking towards a gen and be like, "Man, it's all the way over there, I don't wanna walk that," and my friend is like, "You know you're not physically walking over there, right, you lazy ass?"

I mean, it doesn't really matter how the match goes, killer queue is instant, so I just play in a chill, relaxed manner. It helps to not care when you get Ormond three matches in a row, otherwise I'd be stressing over trying to follow those still-awful scratch marks. (Not like scratch marks on any map are good right now, what with how delayed they are, but Ormond has always been worse.)

Matchmaking is too awful, there's too much RNG, and the game is too buggy to take playing it seriously.

  • I am. Overall, I still enjoy it. Frustrating sometimes. I didn't buy this game to play ring around the rosie. Which, that's ultimately what it ends up being like in the Killer role.

I'd enjoy this game a lot more, if the maps were redone. Safe areas, of course. Endless loops, no.

What do you mean you are afking in the basement, hows that help with progressing with the rift? Im curious lol

    You mean as survivor?

Not worth it. Just take WGLF and play for the 4 stacks.

With the old hatch if you played well at least you could escape. With the new EGC you’re basically doomed in 99% of cases. Even if you break chases and use stealth and dont get hooked all game you’re still going to die in the end.

Rift Fragments are unlocked with XP. XP is earned via time spent in the match; how well you do is not taken into consideration. With instant killer queues, there's no down time between matches so AFK'ing is an easy way to grind.

I'll tell ya what. My wife keeps wanting me to play survivor, and I hate that role. The amount of sweaty killers running NOED and Eboni Mori is nuts. Add that to the horrible match making where I'm getting rank 19 survivors in groups and it is miserable.

I played killer last night, and the survivor play was sad as well. Blowing up gens, can't loop, and hiding in corners. Not sure what is going on, but it is weird. Are the killers trying to play survivor? lol

I keep hearing about survivor lobbies taking forever, yet my killer lobby is 20 minutes today, and 15 last night. Played survivor with my wife and it was less than 5 minutes. Where are these bad lobbies?

EDIT: Playing on PC - Killer Rank 2, Survivor Rank 10

I always try. Sometimes my objective is to goof off or meme in which case I'm trying to do those things. But I always try.

I go for 4 stacks of BBQ when playing killer now and after that I just go for fancy plays and memes. As survivor its always been about the memes personally, holding m1 on gens is pretty boring.

I try for the Archives, but that's about it. Not really much point now that I have hit the mythical Red ranks.

I hate it btdubbs. Just send me back to Green. I had fun there.

you get rift progress basically just per match, 1 match is 1 out of 10 ermm whatever the rift currency is, and 10 is 1 rift level.

After being harassed and then harassed by the same guy on another account after I blocked him. No I'm not, not anymore this game went sour for me half a year ago

Imo there really is no point in trying to win anymore. If I play killer the goal is to get my BBQ stacks, if I play survivor than I'm trying to do a ritual

I try. Bubba with franklins bbq discordance and noed. Noed is for salt even though most of the time it rarely makes an impact on my matches anyways.

I am. I want to get my killer to rank one for the first time, so I can actually say I've been to rank one before. After that, not so much.

    To win? No

I've been playing this game for so long though my friends and I are kinda just bound to it. Met so many wonderful people here that if I ever really fully quit the game I wouldn't be able to talk to all of them anymore. So I just try to have fun and spend most of my time arguing balance and theory crafting killer ideas and buffs/nerfs with friends. I guess I still go for r1 every season, but I don't really mind just stopping at 5 anymore whereas before I would get so upset if I was at rank 2 for even a day.
