How to counter good Spirit?

If you run - you leave scratchmakrs. If you walk - she knows you aren't far away. If you try to run, then turn back without Iron Will - she will hear you. I have big promlem with countering a good Spirit. How to do it?

I believe it was either scott jund or zubat that put it best when asked this question. You guess. That's really all you can do against a good spirit lol.

You can't really do much against a spirit that is actually good.

The only "counter" is Iron Will, and that's void if they're using Stridor, which most Spirits are.

Your counter is guessing, I hope you're lucky.

Well now that you can no longer be felt by the spirit I would say a decent counter urban evasion as like stated if you run you'll leave scratch Mark's but playing against spirits I don't find it very hard to just crouch walk away and completely confuse the spirit. I know sometimes you feel like it's completely impossible to counter a spirit but at the end of the day if you're a good survivor who can beat killer's mind games, loop effectively then you're unlikely to be caught by spirit. Especially since in my opinion there is way too many loops and pallets on maps. Just because there's no easy way to counter her doesn't mean she can't be beaten. Like the nurse. Hard killers are hard for a reason.

Just loop. If you're at a safe loop then Spirit, like every other killer, will have to rely on you making a mistake in order to get a hit. If you're at a dead zone then r.i.p.

    Don't listen to this.

There are lots of counters to Spirit in play style and perks, especially since her nerf.

    Spine Chill/Premonition/Iron Will/QnQ

You just have to understand what Spirit is seeing and hearing to predict her.

She's phasing after you (you're invisible to her), fast vault a window and then slow vault back over.

Run to a pallet and throw it down while she's phasing after you and then slow crawl back over.

While sprinting away immediately start walking back directly through her.

If she starts phasing at a pallet and you can't tell if she's faking or phasing, slow walk away from her. If she is phasing she will be completely guessing and you're golden. If she was faking, then you walked away from her and gained distance. You just don't want to make your walk towards her, make sure it's towards another loop.

You just have to understand how she works to manipulate what she's seeing and hearing.

What if you are hurt? You make noise and good spirit knows excatly where you are by the sounds you make.

In b4 "you can't" when you can.

Fairly easy with the state she's in right now. I doubt they'll be fixing the audio for a while, so. As it stands right now, a spirit most likely cannot hear your grunts of pain if they're using stridor, in fact it makes you mute to them, even without Iron Will. You can also hear them go into phase, while still in their terror radius. Use these facts to your advantage.

Use Iron Will as it helps against all killers and makes you mute if she doesn't have stridor, but if she does you'll still be quieter/completely mute anyway. If you're being chased by her and she goes into phase, throw down a pallet early then walk back the way you came. She'll think you're on the other side and will miss completely 9/10 times. If she doesn't phase, she can be looped like a normal killer. In regards to mind games at pallets, sprint away for two-three seconds, then walk back. If done right, you'd have timed it so she sees you running away and goes into phase as you're about to go back.

I wish to also say I main Spirit and don't know why I'm telling anyone these things. Probably because I don't want her nerfed to the ground again.

The idea is to get into the spirits head, alot of these plays are double backs, dropping pallets on the opposite side etc. you want to try guess what her move will be and the counter it, its like chess if you know her move counter it. i personally like going against these spirits because its so satisfying to out play them, dont forget she is slower than normal without her power so make her waste it, dont always wait at loops sometimes the best counter is just running straight forward. use line of sight, honestly just practice and youll see what works and dont... anyone who says you cant outplay her isnt a top tier survivor and probably DC`s against any killer that doesnt go by the basic looping of round and round and round etc.
