4 Gens done in under 3 minutes, how do devs think this is fair and fun for Killer?

Yes keep messing with the game then I can trade a used copy of this game for something at gamestop. I'm close to trading it now, but as a business plan not great seeing how I have bought every dlc and rift pass they have done. Keep changing things and losing the players who pay your bills.

No one said that the latter wouldn't be divided up as well. It's more about spreading the game pace a bit more evenly instead of putting you right at the most anxious edge for killer but not survivor right off the bat, it defeats the very nature and atmosphere of the game really.
I never even said anything about killer mobility that has already been pointed out.
People are so quick to judge other's without even trying to understand what they are saying.

Devs will never address the fundamental issues, the only "balance" they believe in is in the form of nerfs. And from the looks of this video, it seems like Trapper is overperforming. Let's logically predict what the Devs will do in response.
There will be necessary
nerfschanges in order to make Trapper less frustrating to play against. A killer being able to get four kills when the survivors were close to winning shows that Trapper's base kit is a bit overwhelming. In order to optimize the survivor experience and to give the killer a more fun and challenging experience, Trapper's bag add-ons will be removed and replaced with add-ons that award him more bloodpoints. This should help Trapper from gaining too much momentum. Another solution is to increase the time it takes for Trapper to set his traps by 100%, which should give survivors enough time to closely observe Trapper's tactics, in order to provide necessary counter play. We've also noticed that Trapper is too fast. This combined with his power is too overwhelming for survivors to deal with, so we've decided to reduce his movement speed by 10%. Lastly, we noticed that Trapper has too many traps scattered across the map, this is simply overpowered and provides little to no counter play, so we've decided to remove half of the traps from the map. This should help survivors move around the map more freely without having to be constantly worried and stressed about stepping into too many traps. Happy Trials Fog Dwellers!2 -
Pretty sure OP said it isn’t fun gameplay. Unless you’re going to generalize and claim that winning equals to enjoyable gameplay, this comment adds little to no value to the discussion.
Devs did seem to have interest in the other thread about gen times so I’m certain they will look into it either way. I hope they do at least for the sake of these type of boring games.

Ignore the killer's fun and all is well.

Was he deliberately not kicking that gen for content purposes?
I feel like the more this guy posts about gens needing fixing while he ignores gens, the less he is proving his point. Continuing to chase the SAME person for half the match is not a good play.
2 -
When the entire match is only 3-4 minutes chasing someone for half of it isn't that long. Breaking off to chase someone else, especially on a large map, may end up wasting just as much time.
6 -
You picked a game where 4 gens were done in 3 minutes and he still ends up getting a 4k as your proof there is a problem?
2 -
He didn't even bother to kick the gen that was in the 90% progression. So to me, when he complains about gen speeds but doesn't even bother to do a very simple task as kicking the gen he loses all credibility. You KNOW for a fact there were more people there, and with him having STBFL you better believe I would have stuck around and searched for the others. Instead he chases the Feng who has every pallet on the map available and accepts defeat.
At this point these kind of videos are a joke. It's almost like he wants the gens to passively regress without doing anything.
1 -
The simple task of kicking a gen takes 4 seconds to complete, and can be undone in less then one. Its not always the best idea to kick a gen. Watch other videos and you will see him kicking gens depending on the circumstances and perks.
5 -
Because on some maps, Survivors will have already finished a Generator before you're even able to make it to an area of the map? In some cases, two.
7 -
Kicking gens in that circumstance would have been good. Why? Because as I said the perk he is using (Save the Best For Last) and others being there. He clearly saw them too:
Pressuring gens means giving the survivor a reason to leave, if that Dwight would have been hurt, he would have probably not committed, considering how safe they were playing.
My main point is, you cannot complain about gen speeds when you aren't even doing the smallest task to pressure a gen. Especially on a Trapper.

Ok thanks :)

Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?

The problem is you're watching tru3 and he cries like a baby if he gets a bad match then talks ######### to surv if they are bad. He is rubbish and disgraces the queen.
1 -
It's the in game scoring system, it's totally valid to use it to determine a win or lose. Otherwise it's kind of like playing a hockey game and saying "Oh you think you won because you scored more points? Sounds robot-ish to me".
3 -
I agree
We all see players in roles that are amazing
Examples:
Survivors who can loop for days, 360 and escape the killer...nail great skill checks, dodge hatchets constantly
Sniper huntresses...killer billies etc...
The answer is to work hard at those skills and roles until you get great at them.
The answer is NOT to want to change the game to make up for an under-developed skill.
2 -
Essentially you're saying git gud baby killers
I agree in general that skill/experience with the game has a lot to do with the complaining on here.
but you can't keep saying this every time anyone dares to complain about the game's balance.
1 -
He wins. How can you complain when the killer wins?
If the killer is able to destroy 4 surviors in a few minutes then how can you justify the gens being longer? so he wins with 3 gens standing rather than 1? Many killers still have NOED to rely on after that.
Tru3 says its nothing to do with Trapper but that's BS. If he wasn't using Trapper he wouldn't have spent time walking around setting traps. If he chose Billy or Wraith he would have been on top of them within the first 30 seconds.
2 -
Because a killer can snowball and trash the survivors in a few minutes - but killers never complain about that. It's either gens are too fast or the survivor's fault for everything.
4 -
Actually:
High mobility killer: played dirty to have a chance
Low mobility killer: lost
1 -
Exactly. These weak M1 killers need buffed to be able to either have stall potential or some form of mobility added to their kit.
1 -
90% is based on my own experience at red ranks with Trapper as my main. Furthermore, you still did nothing to argue the cherry-picked fact. I've watched True and Monto, Zubet, etc for some time as well. 90% of their matches are them owning the crap out of teams. A very small percentage is them getting owned. Furthermore, this video ends in a 3k.
So, again, cherry-picked bs to cover for whiney players who don't want to admit to having bad play styles. Yes, there are some matches that are insanely lopsided against the killer, but so are matches where the killer easily destroys teams as well.
Sorry, but balance is not about the rare video where 4 gens are done in a few minutes and the killer still 3k's. If anything, that shows the game has more balance than you think. No, balance considers the bulk of the players and what is going on there.

This entire post obly really makes sense if you beleive this to happen every game. Like for every game that has a gen rush. Theres a game where all three survivors go and die under youre hook trying to farm you for bp and failing.

Cause I want to try these builds out:) especially on the new doctor:D
1 -
Th Spirit one is specifically formatted for Spirit, so that isn't likely to work on Doc.

It does sound robotish if im forced to camp/tunnel/slug in order to stop genrush atleast until i get the others because otherwise gens would be done in under 3 minutes? Well, if this sounds robotish for you, were killers are all cyborgs. What i have to do in order to get a pip? First of all i need a Kill very early, Best case is i get 1 hooked and 1 slugged... then only 1 will max repair a Gen... The other will try to Heal/unhook which grants me Time... Otherwise 3 gens would pop out of nowhere within seconds... And then finish off the rest of them if possible, or atleast 3 of the 4 survs... Mostly a 25k+ Game for me.. It works pretty well, and im very satisfied if Noob-Survs Blame me for playing the way i do, and they dont realize, if they would have kept to do gens, they could have won easily the game. Most Survs do not focus properly... Yolo-Unhook and the gets punished for their "Hero" being.... But it always has been easyier to blame others for the mistakes made, instead of realizing how hard you did fail on the "m1" mechanics of the Game.

Why dont decrease Killers movement speed in general for.... lets say 100%... This way Survivor, if they get catched, what unluckily under these circumstances shouldnt happen, should realize of how bad they are, and rankings do not say anything about ur skill...
Im up for 600% bigger maps, at least 60 Pallets on each Map, Survs shouldnt have any CD on DS/DH/BT/ Unbreakable, and Killers in general shouldnt be allowed to bring in Perks/ Offerings.
This way i could be succesful as Survivor too...
Oh and btw, Killers like Spirit and Bubba, Shouldnt be allowed to move forwards!!!
Lets all Just play Survivor, and let this awful designed Survivor Game eat his own medicine.
No Killer = No Complains = No Compromises = Easy World

Tru does have a pattern, anytime he’s losing it’s obviously a sweaty coordination SWF but if he wins nothing bad to say. He also goes on and on about the other team using DS, etc when he does the same
0 -
i know:) i meant i will use that perk build for spirit and doctor a different build:)
0 -
He was Trapper...
A killer who has to waste early game setting his traps, and basically has no power unless you do set up your traps. This is more of a design flaw than it is gen speeds.
1 -
Really? Because the last new map in the DLC suggests otherwise.
0 -
Maybe it's just me, if I get 2 kills in a game as killer, I'm a happy guy. I just like to mess around and have fun though. Letting survivors go or just focusing on one toxic survivor and letting the rest do their thing.
1 -
Devs don’t even care anymore tbh
1 -
It's fair because they got outplayed. The part of the game that actually requires skill is the part that they were terrible at. If they were good at the game and couldn't get to red ranks just by gen rushing then they very easily could have run with one gen left when only one person had been hooked.
1 -
What do you mean?
And the new map is really good for stealth killers, but heartbeat killers can still easily lose on the Hawkins map. There are quite a few safe areas and windows to run around, including the gen resting above the glass in the infected room and the room in the middle of the map with the metal ramps and multitude of windows.
1 -
"This might be one of those games where 4 kills doesn't mean a win"
Isn't that just the funniest ######### sentence. This game is so survivor sided that not even a 4k, your main objective, is a winning condition. You have to mess around with the survivors and let them live for a bit to get the actual 'winning' result. But you can't. There's not enough TIME to do that. This gen rush is a prime example, there weren't even any Brand New Parts. Just sad...
1 -
Why did you necro a 9 month old discussion
0 -
Cause I had thoughts to share. So I shared them.
If you're not supposed to talk on older posts, the mods should start archiving them.
1 -
Just make the mods work harder 4head, of course how could I have not thought of that, my bad carry on
1 -
Same can be said the other way around. 3 survivors hooked in under 3 minutes. It happens on both sides. Killers actually win way more than survivors do. Bad killers allow 4 gens in under 3 minutes.
0 -
This post is laughable. Killers still have the upper hand in this game. It’s ridiculous how OP they are and people will complain about the already slow gen speed lol put on some perks that slow it down more and gens just don’t get done. I’ve been playing this game for years on both sides. Killer wins way more than survivors do unless you’re just a really bad killer.
1 -
and he STILL got a 4k. just proves that not even extreme genrush gives survivors a chance.
0 -
Which one of you is paying my medical fees for the brain damage y'all gave me.
0 -
I wouldn't expect you to have thought of it since you have a survivor based icon, carry on indeed.
0 -
What does this even mean, an icons an icon, suddenly killer icons mean you are gigabrain while survivor icons mean you are small brain or something
1 -
I've been told I never play killer and clicky clicky tbag because my icon was of Claudette, trust me you see some weird ######### on these forums.
It's interesting though, how when my icon was Claudette or David people disagreed with me, but when it was Pyramid Head I got a lot more support lmao
0 -
I know I might not look it but I just enjoy pebble as an icon
that doesn't mean im a survivor main,
in fact all it means is I like pebble
my hours on killer to survivor are probably 5:1
personally if I wanted to flex I could make my icon blight and brag 24/7 about having the 21st most lethal rush hits at around 3.35k
0 -
and now they nerfed moris so we can't counter with that anymore
