"Devs dont play their own game"
Do people seriously believe this ? that's like saying a chef doesnt taste his own food before serving it . there are several devs that play the game and stream it .

A lot of devs are bad at their own games, so the chef analogy doesn't work too well in this context.
Not everyone in BHVR is terrible, but there are some that are just... painful to watch.

They do play but have you watched them? Even the 'good' ones kinda suck. It's like that in a lot of multiplayer games but usually they listen to their best players about the direction the game needs to go. Instead, BHVR has decided they want to make their game 'fun' instead of 'competitive', so they actually take their own experiences into account.

I've watched a couple, for example I watch peanits almost everytime he streams and I can tell you hes pretty darn good. especially with huntress.

Every time I've watched him he's playing in like green ranks. Maybe I just dont watch him enough though

I think the problem here is region. I watched several of his matches and honestly, he would see a whole lot of entity displeased in my zone. The survivors I see don't move or run loops, or mindgame anywhere close to the level of the people I get on a daily basis.
I saw a match of his where one survivor was the caliber that I'm used to. She ran him for three gens and they escaped with a key. The other three were total potatoes, which is the only reason he got a kill at all.
If these survivors are indicative of what they play against, I understand the balance changes more now. I seriously need to vpn my way to his region so I can enjoy this game again.

I compare the devs and us gamers to NASCAR drivers and mechanics.
One builds the machine. They can take it apart and put it back together. They know more about it. But the one side is actually using it. They know how it handles and what it needs to be doing.

It's not so much the devs not playing their game. It's them not knowing their own game, and that can't be denied.

I like the matches Peanits stomps potatos and then goes "Balance". That one makes me blow some extra air from my nostrils.
