I am abused as a killer, this is not funny
Just entered a match. Almost all players had a flashlight. I come to hook one and drop the survivor because of the light. A few times. Some of taunting me. Bugs keep occurring where the survivors magically teleport forward and I miss my hit despite doing my physical best to hit them.
And then I come to hook a survivor, get a flashlight in my face, I avoid it and as I come to hook him the other survivor is crouching under the hook and I can't physically press Space to hook him no matter what I do, then he turns on the flashlight and I get blinded.
I just pressed alt f4. Listen to me devs, I didn't come to play this game so a bug being stronger than a perk prevents me from hooking and to get annoyed and bullied the entire time.
I didn't come to get made fun of. You are making a circus of the type of players that allow this game to exist. No killers - No matches.
They are laughing as I quit and get a penalty for getting made fun of the entire time.

I suppose Franklin's Demise is out of the question? Or Lightborn?

Bud, one thing you need to learn is that, as a killer player, your enjoyment is not considered. Only survivors, since they spend more.

Bad matchmaking is my guess. Magical teleport sounds like dead hard. How many hours do you have in the game?

You can stick on lightborn if there's 2-3 flashlights in the lobby, but they usually don't bother me that much.
I prefer enduring + brutal strength sometimes though, then it honestly doesn't matter how many pallets get dropped on your head.

Franklins is a really good perk against flashlight brigades. They will go for flashlight saves, they will go back to pick up flashlights. You can exploit this. Pretend to rotate to another area, but soon go back to where they dropped that flashlight and 8/10 times they will be going back for it, caught off guard.
Fake the pickup of an injured survivor if you suspect someone is going to flashlight save. Listen for an injured survivor if they're injured, or circle the blocked structures where they are probably hiding, look for scratch marks that didn't come from the downed survivor. Don't pick up unless you are facing a direction they don't have a flashlight angle like a wall. If you are not confident you'll get the pickup, just leave them slugged and look for survivors. A slugged survivor is just as good pressure, sometimes better because it takes time to heal them up while an unhook is instant.
If someone is blocking hook, that's a free hit. More than one are blocking? Great, more survivors injured. They use flashlight on you? Great, let them waste battery as you evade by looking up. They teabagging, taunting, fast vaulting? Great, wasting time not doing gens. Just don't get sucked in and distracted if you need to be keeping other survivors off of gens. Everyone bringing a flashlight? Great, they don't have toolboxes and you get to make Franklin's plays.
These are just the plays that come to mind because I've played 1500 hours. If you're new, you shouldn't be expected to know these yet. For some reason rank reset brings SWFs with my level of experience and well beyond to play against people that just installed the game.

It's honestly better to just use lightborn if you strictly want to deal with flashlights. It will stop any and all flashlight saves, stops all blinds at pallets / vaults, and usually gets you some free hits at pallets before they realize you are running it.
Really good players will not get M1'd easy, so you will probably take many blinds before you can hit them with franklins anyways.

If you have good headset then flashlights are literally best thing you hope for survivors to have.
About hook tech, one of the only reasons for me to set a tent and camp as thats 2 people not doing gens while abusing bug.

The "magical teleport" also could've just been a short connection issue. Often players miss hits or evade hits due to connection issues.
Looking up is usually a safe way to not get blinded. I agree. And on PC it should be no problem to do so.
I think the OP is a bit new to the game and because he isn't responding I am pretty sure this is just another rant thread.

I was there when I was new, as you get more experience you won't mind these things as much because you learn they actually help you. As people stated above, fake the pickup if someone is around with a flashlight. Also get in the habit of always looking at a wall or obstruction when you pick up, even if there's no flashlights, it's just a good habit to get into.
If they're blocking a hook just hit them, it takes around 3 hits for someone to wiggle off (depending on distance and if someone is running Breakout for some stupid reason). If they're blocking that means they're not doing gens and you get free hits which is map pressure. Once you grow as a killer and become a better one survivors will recognize that you're not easy to play with so they'll usually stop body blocking tactics because they're only helping you. Hell, sometimes if I'm carrying someone and another body blocks I'll get the hit and if they're still around I'll just drop the survivor I was carrying. Now I have two people in chase essentially which means at worst two gens can get done (this of course depends on the situation.)
You just have to learn not to let survivors get in your head and upset you to the point that you make mistakes. It's frustrating and first but keep at it.
One last tip is if it's the endgame and everyone, or even 3 people are alive and you manage to down one, look around for another survivors in the area. At this point they'll all try and take hits most of the time, especially if the doors are open and you're close to them. Hit at least one before picking up, this means it's unlikely the one on your shoulder will wiggle off.
We've all been there friend. Keep at it.

This may not be good advice; the more experienced players will offer better ideas. I'm a Rank 20 Killer with only a few perks unlocked. Because I main Doc and have limited resources, when I see 2 or more flashlights in the lobby, I put on Overwhelming Presence.
Depending on its tier, Overwhelming makes them go through their flashlights 80/90/100% faster (when they're in your terror radius). Flashlights only last a few seconds that way, limiting the abuse potential.
Good luck, and hopefully you get more enjoyable matches more often!

Survivors can literally sit under a hook to prevent you from hooking others.

Yeah, when I heard "survivors magically teleport forward to avoid being hit" I immediately thought of dead hard too. I guess that's kind of what it looks like...lol

As if they haven’t pandered to almost every killer demand this year...

Drop the one you are carrying and hit the one who is blocking you.

Lol, a noob complaining about flashlights, bodyblocking and dead hard, and then people complain about survivor mains whining?

We were all new to the game once.

Didn’t read the paragraph, just the title... but don’t worry... I get defeated by survivors too

Blocking killers is not a bug or abuse, lmao. Just use your weapon maybe ? It is clear you are new and instead using some brain power and learning you decided to complain just to make a fool out of yourself.

I run these with Ghostface. They get tea bagged before I slap it outta their hands.

Can we turn this thread into a support group?

Dude honestly that team sounds like the type of team I want to go against. If they are all running flashlights while following you that means less people sitting on gens. I’d say this experience you hand has more with you not being a good killer and less to do with the survivors being op.
I’ll give you some tips to deal with these players. First make sure to try and face a wall when you are near one so they don’t get the flashlight blind. 2nd, if you down a person, you should just stand above their body for a bit and see if you can bait out a flashlight rescuer to get a free hit. 3rd, If the survivor is downed in the open with no wall you might as we’ll slug since the other survivors are hanging around close to you and you will most likely find a new survivor to down quickly. 4th, if the survivors is body blocking the hook you have no choice but to try and hit them, just pressing space over and over is not going to hook them. Finally, I’m not sure if the magical teleport thing is legit a bug or not, but are you sure it wasn’t just the survivor doing a 360 on you or having auto aim make you miss? Because teleporting survivors only happen when the survivor is either a hacker or they have a really bad connection.

Haha Git Gud

Drop the survivor and go after the other ones blocking the hook. Or if you know there all hanging around going for flashlight saves slug them

Sorry you had this experience fellow killer
Many people will try to give you solid advice on how to deal with these types and kill more effectively.
I really do understand the frustration tho of being an immoral monster and having a few kids runn around and bullied you.
It does get better with the tips above me... but you never get the feeling of anyone being afraid of you

Use Doctor, down someone, shock blast, there you go, you know where they are and if they're close, he's an awesome and fun killer nowdays, also you can use Franklins and remember to look up, not to the sides, when getting blinded

I suppose you could just break the totem if you can't hit skillchecks right.....

People learn at different rates.

I have 250h and still im abused by survivors. I start to think this game is not worth of time when all i got is abuse feeling

I understand how it is. Everyone has been there (who has played killer for more than just rank 20-16). Killer can be quite challenging with it being a 1v4 being balanced closer to a 1v2 scenario. But sometimes you just have to feel the pain in this game to get better.
Played a game last night. I am not the best killer (highest rank I have gotten so far is rank 7, but I have hit rank 4 survivor). It was probably a swf, and I had discordance go off on 2 gens. I was lucky to be doc that match, and have both gens next to each other. I played around that hard, using static blast and overcharge to make those gens last forever. By the time they got both of the gens done, I probably had about 7 or so hooks with 2 dead and 1 injured.
If I could make a suggestion, if you dont do this, I recommend playing both sides. You learn a lot about playing killer/survivor that way. I knew they would be stubborn and keep going at gens that had good progression. It was a hard battle (probably got head-on hit like 5 times), but I knew I could win it if I kept up the pressure on just those 2 gens.

Ebil devs bad only want money xd

If you're referencing ruin, I'm unsure how that has any bearing in this conversation.

I'd abuse you too hahaha.

Slugging, tunneling, camping, facecamping..lots of ways to annoy them right back!
And sometime you can beat them by having a great game. Had one of them with Doctor yesterday were I won with 3 gens left. Got a message after were they told me they were SWF and that I was the best killer they faced for weeks. They were all red ranks and it felt pretty nice 😎 Game after I used Legion and they all escaped after tbagging me at the gate..well that's dbd for you..

Most new players watch youtube and they already know how to bodyblock and use flashlights and some people learn fast example someone with 200 might know as much as someone with 1000 hours and some people learn nothing at 500 hours and play like 20 hour.
I like how you just assume me as "survivor main" just because I was being straight and honest.
You can see how much of a survivor or killer main I am from some achievements yourself

The best thing to do against a hyper aggressive flashlight brigade is to bring Nurse's Calling and snowball off of their aggression. When you get one down, you actually have 2 or 3 down if you play it right. You have to be super patient and don't put anyone on the hook unless you are 100% positive nobody can flashlight save
0 -
@DudeDelicious look up to avoid a flashlight? Nah, looking down is way better. You can still navigate your way to the hook and see if someone is blocking your path to get a free hit. Looking up is only the best option vs firecrackers
