DC Penalties
Should be removed. My friend who plays this religiously just got a dc penalty because the internet faulted and it kicked him. Mind you we have the same internet as we live in the same house and I didnt have any problems. He was 5 seconds away from escaping and this happened. It's stupid.

The problem is not DC penalties, the problem is the "game crashed" bug, don't ask them to remove the DC penalties, ask them to fix the "game crashed" bugs

So by the time their net came back the penalty was over. Problem solved.
Unless it keeps happening and their internet sucks, in which case they need to sort it out before joining games knowing that they may get DCd by their net and screw over their teammates.
If it's not the net, as you're on the same internet, it sounds like their system, a random kick, or like a good cover.
All these excuses keep coming up now that people cant DC without consequence.

Actually the the game crashed. It wasn't over when he got back in the game either. So.. problem not solved. He didnt dc on purpose either so no excuses. He was about to escape. He was opening a door and poof. It froze and he was on the main menu saying the game was suspended so he was kicked from the game. We are in the same room and was playing g the same game (swf) and I was playing fine. He was literally 5 seconds from opening the gate as I said before.
The potato servers need to be fixed and the game needs to be fixed. Never has the game crashed like this before for him. He LOVES this game. He has never dc'ed purposely.

So did the game crash (console error) or did the servers cause it?
Two different issues.
It's also a 5 min ban. It takes what, 2/3 mins to restart after the crash/freeze resolves?
It leaves a 2 min wait. When lobby times are already 20 min wait, it doesnt owsnt seem like a big difference.
Potato servers dont cause the application to crash. Just to DC you.
Also, it's never crashed before? Yet now that DC penalties are a thing, it's happened for the first time yet you're saying it's so problematic they need to go.
Something doesnt add up.
Like I said before and in other threads. 5 mins is short. If something legitimately caused you to get kicked, dont knowingly go in with it as a possibility until the problem has been resolved.

If I know what caused it I would have explained a little better. You're trying to fi d an excuse due to the lack of me explaining. The console did NOT cause the crash. The game did. Also you're wrong. It doesnt take us 20 minutes to find a lobby. Stop exaggerating. It took us 5-7 minutes to find a match so for the length of the ban is what it would have taken us to be in another match.
The console has crashed the game for me many times but never for him. I've gotten plenty of errors for playing games but surprisingly he hasn't. I've quit games because they happened right at the end.
So because the game crashed (not the console) you're saying dont play the game until the game fixes itself? We've already concluded it wasn't the internet because he was still connected. We both were.
Tldr; he was in game, kicked to the main menu, said the game was suspended, banned for 5 minutes, which is a long time for something he didnt do.

Make DC penalties apply to the percentage of games and not the number of instances in a 24 hour window. Problem solved.
