The new killer is Pinhead (PROOF) (Read Edit)
EDIT; Since people still keep commenting about how it's a meme, YES. I know. If you read the edit further down, you would know that. This is now a discussion about what killers would be cool and pure speculation.
ORIGINAL POST: So, in addition to the new teaser coming out today with the chains, people seem to forget that behaviour seems to have dropped hint that the next killer is indeed licensed.
The hint comes from a comment made on their video (on instagram) where they announced level 2 of the tome was released, i have posted a screenshot of the comment here, aswell as behaviours response.
In case you missed the detail, there is a trademark icon above "soon". I think this makes it pretty clear that this is indeed a licensed character, and in addition with the teaser, the proof piles up for pinhead. I can't think of any other licensed killer with chains. Thoughts?
Edit: Okay, i understood now that this soon(tm) thing is regular meme thingy. Thanks for informing me. I still have my hopes up for pinhead though.

No, i thought they put the TM there as a hint towards it being a licensed killer (even though i now learnt it stands for something else). Considering Pinhead is the most famous chainwielder, i think that makes it pretty obvious why i came to that conclusion, don't you think?

I mean, obviously a new original killer is equally as exciting, but i would love seeing a killer (such as pinhead) because of its potential power. A wallsmasher sounds so... Bland.

Actually, a Wall Smasher isn't completely outlandish. While I agree it does sound a bit bland now, BHVR has had the idea for a wall smash killer since they made the game.

If they make Pinhead and he is a wuss like most killers it will be ridiculous. We need more strong killers in the game and Pinhead is the epitome of terror. If he isn't terrifying to play against he will become a joke.

The wall smashing score event that they datamined could be Pinhead placing chains on a wall, and them bursting out of it to trap a Survivor. So a vertical Trapper instead of a horizontal Trapper like we have.
Just throwing it out there because I'd love to have Pinhead in the game. No matter how weak/strong he was, that's all I'd play. And Kirsty... gotta have Kirsty Cotton in there.

Yeah, pinhead would be a dream come true IMO. Just imagine how terrifying it could potentially be, him walking around with floating chains chasing people.

Well, yes, i do think it could be cool aswell, but just feels like a lot of work to rework every map so one potential killer may be able to break a wall. I just dont see how it will be useful, especially if there is any kind of cooldown to run with it.

Spawn is also a pretty dope chain wielder and would make an awesome addition to the game. I didn't make any assumptions it was pinhead. I also hope with all my heart it's not him cause he's really not that interesting of a character especially for this game.

I mean, i guess Spawn would be cool aswell, but imo he feels more fantasy then horror. But i guess at this point, i am just happy about a new killer overall.

And Spawn is a hero. Every killer is a known psychopath aligning towards evil than anything else. Yes even sweet Susie is probably a horrible #########.

In Hellraiser chains are shooting around everywhere. This is a chain slowly moving across the ground, like something is chained up. It gives off a completely different vibe.

My money is 100% on Pinhead. There is a new hell raiser movie coming out this year, and the timing feels right. Chains make sense too.

That doesn't prove that it's pin head at all, I I mean ghost rider is a "killer with a chain" and your "proof" isn't even legitimate proof.

I believe the "soon" was a dig at F13 devs, Illfonic and Gunmedia. Every single response they used when asked when was this coming out, or when is that being fixed was "soon". So much so that they even started putting the trademark symbol at the end. It became a running meme of a completely incompetent dev/publisher team. So, it may have very well be a slight jab at that since F13 was supposed to "put dbd in the ground".

SOON(tm) is used a lot on Warframe by the playerbase. Even has a Prime version. Dev's are always dragging their heels in that game.

Most Hellraiser movies use a single chain in multiple instances. The only reason I can see it not being related to Hellraiser is because it takes multiple pulls to make it taut. Chains in Hellraiser are shot out, hook, then pull.
It looks like the chain is a weapon though, because the end that pops up when it does go taut is bloody, and it looks like someone is reeling in the chain itself from the other end.
One problem lorewise though is that Pinhead never chases. He strolls calmly towards a person's ineveitable death. He simply appears out of the shadows or when you turn around. If they keep tight to that, he'd be Hag or possibly even Nurse speed, which to a lot of people is a turnoff.
I just hope if it is Hellraiser, they use Doug Bradley. It would be a shame to have an imposter Pinhead. Or else go with the real lore, and use the Engineer from the book. Although if they did that, it would probably end up being NC-17 content. Lol

A little off topic but I really want to see some kind of aquatic monster or sea ghost type thing some day. Awhile back someone made a fan art of Trapper in an old deep sea diving suit and it was awesome.

Ghostrider wasn't a good movie. Why would they buy the rights to a killer that was meh? If they were gonna go buy rights it's going to be on something actually will bring money back and potentially new players.

Soon TM is a meme, it could mean anything. But probably it means it's licenced because they chose to answer using that "TM" meme as a hint.

I really don't know if they'd do Hellraiser because of how tied to religion that lore is. Pinhead could totally work in the game though if they used the Lament Configuration as an interactable mechanic ala Plague fountains, Freddy's dream objects, etc. Would be wild if it buffed one survivor and debuffed another when a survivor used it. Like it heals an injured survivor and exposes a random healthy one.

Given all the Cenobites could be used as alternate skins, Pinhead would be a logical choice. It makes sense with the chain symbology. He could generate a TON of income.
Like even if it isn't this time around, he will be in the game eventually I am sure of it.
