What is the curve of disconnect penalties ??
I just disconnected for memeing, because a trapper was looking at me after i tried in front of him to get out of his traps 20 TIMES (i'm seriously not joking what the hell)
And I get instantly 5 minutes of ban ??? when it's my first disconnect in a month ?? So I'm asking is it really intended cuz i feel like it's weird the first dc is instantly 5 MINUTES

It was one minute for the first one during the last test, although a lot of people would completely miss that first timeout by the time they re-opened the game, so it was increased. It's still low enough that it's not going to ruin your whole night the first time it happens.

Anything counts, otherwise you'd end up with people forcing their game to crash to avoid penalties, but if we notice a surge of crashes (or a game breaking issue), we have a killswitch to disable the system just in case. Right now, the number of crashes is incredibly low.

well if my game randomly crashed right now and i got a 20 minutes ban i would be mad for sure. especially after i got a 5 minutes ban because i was being funny

DCing is not a play style, nor is it a meme. All you did was steal sacrifice points from the killer.
Don't DC, erase it from your mind as a play style. I really don't give a crap if you were memeing. Just knock it off and you won't be punished.

Yeah I saw a bunch of people just killing themselves on hook and it sucks
it doesnt change anything except it's even more beneficial for the killer

And this is a flaw within the system. I think 2nd is 5 mins, 3rd and 4th are 15 mins. Then it escalates from there.
If you're planning to play a lot this weekend you're guarenteed to get hit with a bug, server or game issue over the next 2 days so that puts you at 2. Best not to disconnect again or you're looking at 15 minutes. You need to factor game problems into your d/c budget.

Your game didn't crash, though. You literally admitted to DCing to "teh lulz".
This was a deserved penalty. Stop trying to deviate. You deserved it.
That's funny, cause I'm on holiday and have played like 8-10 hours a day (rift grind!) since the DC penalties have been out...not a single crash while in game. I had an infinite loading screen bug, but I can now confirm those don't result in a DC punishment, just like @Peanits said.

Joking or not. You DC'd from a match. You admitted it. Not sure why you have the gall to try and justify it. You were wrong, the punishment was warranted. Period, end of story.

well that's good if that's not the case ? and i didnt say my game crashed, i said i would be very annoyed if my game crashed and i was penalized for it. And stop crying gosh, did i insult your grandma or what ? i didnt ruin the fun for any-one, that dc was harmless so why crying that much because i clicked that "leaving game" button at the end of the match ?

I personally don't care if you DC on me as a killer. It doesn't bother me. I was just calling it as I see it. Someone literally complaining about a justified punishment (of literally only 5 minutes); and then turning around and saying someone else is crying.

times are set manually ? does it just means it works the way intended ? i thought the first ban was 1 minute long in case there was a crash or smthg that made the system count you as banned ?

i'm complaining that the first dc ban is 5 minutes long ? i was expecting to get punished of course whatever why i would dc, but 5 minutes is pretty damn long for a first penalty ban, and i remember seeing when the first tests came out that the first penalty was 1 minute long (maybe i'm wrong but i thought that one was fair enough)

The idea is to punish people who DC. Obviously, it had an effect, and you likely won't continue to do such silly things.

That's not a good thing.
If a game breaking bug comes out like the basement bug are they actually going to pull the killswitch for it? who knows.
More importantly what happens if they do? people are being told they can't disconnect. If that restriction gets removed for a week due to a problem with the game, what do you think players will do with that freedom? disconnects would skyrocket and literally become a meme.
This is not well thought out. But good luck to them actually delivering an update for once that doesn't break the game in some way.

Yes it is enabled on ps4, not sure about xbox. I am just saying I never get it because of bugs or crashes that never happen.

Or just don't dc ever regardless of the bugs or situation you may run into...
Can't move as killer? Survivors do gens & escape the match will end you'll escape the bug.
Can't see/get stuck as survivor? The killer will kill you or the egc will.
Killer is slugging? You'll bleed out in 4 minutes.
There is never a reason to dc the match will always end even if you run into the most game breaking of bugs like the oni chapter basement bug.
Everything will end in 5 minutes or less. You'd wait more for dcing than just waiting for the bug to be over.
DC penalties are one of the best things the devs have ever added. You can't just leave at the slightest inconvenience.
