The hook tech
It's quite possibly the most pathetic and childish thing I've seen in a video game.
Whenever it's done to me as survivor I instantly start to kill myself on hook. I don't understand the mindset of the person attempting it, you are using an exploit that'll just get us both killed.
On killer it's easy to just hit them and force an action but still annoying to see them even trying it.
This isn't a strategy, it's a way to force an unhook against killers that don't know how to combat this. A complete exploit for people that want it even easier for themselves.

Let me guess, you were camping, got hook teched, couldn't tunnel since they had bt and ds, and dc'ed so you could rant on here.

Devs are aware of it and it will be changed.
If someone is doing that on me, I will camp. This will just result in a Trade for the Survivors, and until then, I have 2 people not on Gens.
Its not a good "tech". (In general, calling things "tech" is so annoying - DBD is a low-skill game, no need to call everything a "tech")

No it's just an exploit people abuse to death and end up miserably failing if the killer knows how to hit them in it.

The only way to combat it is to just wait until they do something. You can't hit the person doing it I'd they do it correctly, no matter how many idiots say you can. Try it against someone who does it correctly, you can't hit them. So annoying that a certain someone on YouTube popularised it then everyone and their mother wanted to do it so they can put it into a montage. It's sad. Thankfully they're working on a fix for it soon, hopefully in the next chapter?

ok if people fail it then why does it matter. It's their fault they attempted it.

Because it's an exploit and therefore cheating. It's a shame they even attempted it and like I mentioned in my post, while on survivor I start to suicide because I know they'll fail and unhook without borrowed.

you also missed the part where he/she said they hate playing survivor and having another do this to them. chill.

To force an unhook? No.
Dont hit them. At all. Its 2 people on one hook.
Whoever thinks hiding under hook is a GOOD idea is just.....well I cant say it or I'll get reported for insults.

I have died on 2nd and 1st hook to survivors who keep doing this so I feel your pain. The killer has no reason to move as they have 2 survivors in front of them doing nothing. It makes me even madder when I get a message from the survivor saying "srry I couldn't do anything they were camping :/." It's just as bad as looping a killer around a hooked survivor or being chased and running to a hooked survivor. It's good in some cases, but the survivors I get just do it because they can.

You also missed the part where nobody asked.

Honestly every tech where players phase through the character model should go, i understand the killer losing collision after hitting but there is no reason for not having collision during any other action tbh

If you don't want to hear from others, why are you on the forums?

I like to call them the special survivor in my heart. They gave me guaranteed two kills like this most times

Idk why its called a tech when its an exploit. Like if i exploit a thing which allows mr twice the lunge distance its not gonna be called a Lunge Tech no?

I love it as killer. I dont have to sweat finding anybody as they came to me.
I am liable to still hit them even if they are using it since there are still spots to hit them at.
Two people now off of gens. Great. Thanks. Be my guest. Every game please. I get a free camp. The guy on hook could just suicide and then its your turn.

I just want to say, after 20 comments not mentioning it,the full potential of the hook tech being used correctly (and not just trolling) is to get an safe unhook on the person when all the gens were done and the killer is obligated to camp for the kill (considering his options because camping is needed sometimes and stop complaining about this) so this is a natural counterplay. It could save both persons if do it correctly.
sorry for bad english

If still is labled an exploit even if used correctly
