Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why do killers tunnel a survivor that can run them through all the gens?

Most of my games I get the killer tunnels me and then facecamps me. What’s the fun in that honeslty? It makes me feel like they’re throwing the game to get 1 kill. But when I get unhooked with BT or my team takes hits they start saying “This game is crap”. Like hello, you decided to tunnel and you got nothing out of it. Their first mistake is committing to anyone that they know will cost them the game. Just wish camping didn’t exist. Sucks the fun out from both players.

They get mad that you're running them well so they'll throw the game sometimes just to get you.

So they can post a video about how fast gens are.

Either they are inexperienced or they want to kill you because they think that you are either toxic or to cocky.

That should fit for the most scenarios.

Generally if I'm tunneling a player like that, and I will from time to time, it well be because my goal for that match shifted from "Kill the survivors and try to 4k" to "[Bad Word] that guy."

After [Bad Word]ing that guy, I will normally let the other survivors escape.

If any comment about "this game is crap" comes from that, it is likely the sentiment that 100% of the killers attention and focus can't kill a single survivor playing to win, which is 25% of the survivor's team, and thus killers are worthless to play as.

I obviously can't tell you exactly their way of thinking per Killer every trial, but i can imagine at least one reason.

When they face a Survivor who's extremely good at looping them, they could, subconsciously or not, change their main goal to be killing this one good person instead of getting as many kills as possible.

And that might be enough of a reward in itself.

Whether that's fun or not, well the main goal isn't always fun to everyone either, so yeah.

You needed to die. There is no other reason.

Thats bad strategy tho, usually most groups have 1 or 2 weak links who are rather easy to hook to gain momentum, is better to get rid of the gen jockeys first and leave the loopers for the end since they will way less pallets and gens cant go as fast once 1 or 2 people are sacrificed.

At some point, it's just about getting that 1 guy.

After you pass the point of no return, someone's gotta die.
