Doctor way to Strong

What's happened with the Doctor? its almost zero fun in every single round a doctor is taken.

he can negate EVERYTHING by spamming his ability and thats way to overloaded i guess.

its ok when he strucks you but he only have to spam and everythings fine for him - theres very less or nearly NO way to outplay his ability cause of spam rate.

Devs please get doctor nerfed - and REALLY NERFED this time

How about you...idk...play some more? try out some more? wait a month of playing against the doctor and then come with an informed suggestion rather then this "post poor match" crying?

Currently I think he’s in the best state he has ever been in. I haven’t faced any doctors that spam nor do I play or promote that play style.

You know why people don't like new doctor? Because it punishes teams who have gen phobia. He can find people faster than most killers so people can't fool around.

But he's still an M1 killer, and with the sheer number of pallets, you can still loop him... Just don't get greedy, and pray your team dies gens, and don't start running for the unhook the moment you go down!

    Doctor can spam?

Static Blast only activates every 60 seconds, and is hard countered by Calm Spirit

And Shock Therapy is so small at base that being shocked by it means that you already are gonna get hit by doctor anyways

He's more powerful than a lot of people realise, but by no means over powered.

I don't like going against him though so I wouldn't lose my ######### if he got nerfed lmao.

I think they nailed this change. If you're having that much trouble playing against him, maybe try running Calm Spirit?

Cronk is merely doing what was done upon him earlier, I would almost take it as a joke.

Cronk before complaint about Corn blindness and people told them just to "git gut" which they also obviously described as useless.

He is nowhere near op he can easily get destroyed by solo true Red ranks so yes learn to play against him instead of e-begging for nerfs.

Why is it that when people whine about ruin a perk that was a band aid for a problem devs refuse to acknowledge they get told adapt but it's acceptable to cry for nerfs to killers whenever someone is too lazy to learn to play against the killer in question. The reason game is so ######### for killers because player like you too lazy to learn against killer too salty to learn from loss so beg for easy mode.

If you want AI have guts to just say already instead ask for stupid nerfs

If you lose to killer look to self what led to loss what you could have done to prevent a loss is what you deem to be

Just because you lose to a killer does not mean he's OP

and sometimes there is no advice that can magically net you a win. Sometimes you have to keep playing the game and actually git gud.

Bit different nobody really likes corn and removal of that is not really a issue or even just lower so tall killer can see above instead of poke eye he talk about a killer that is in fine place that can still be destroy by red rank good survivors game should be balance by red rank not green

Doctor isn't overpowered. But he does demand respect now. If he gets the game to the point that there are only 2 survivors left then he'll most likely clean house. Especially if he is running the add on that lets him see his illusions. Everyone on the survivor team needs to pull their weight and really try to avoid 3 gen themselves. Some of it comes down to the luck of which map you get. The larger the map the weaker Doctor is.

just because you lose to survivors doesn't mean they are OP either.

The only threat a Doc has is his shock at loops preventing you from dropping a pallet or vaulting, Considering how difficult it is to accurately pull off he's far from OP.

Anything else is just anti-immersion location reveals and a very slight slow down with snapping out of it like he's always had.

Good/ok survivors thinks Doctor is normal or too weak. So the problem is how you play as survivor, not the Doctor killers.

Doctor is strong, but not OP.

    1. Doctor cannot spam his Static Blast, as it has a 60 second cooldown.
    2. If your complaint is about his shock therapy, then you're either camping pallets or at unsafe ones. His base range is so short that if you get shocked, chances are he was going to hit you anyways. Dropping pallets early helps counter the stun.

That's way different considering you can be better than survivors and still lose in this game, game is dictated by survivors they are the ones who prolong games or cut short.

    toxicmegg Member Posts: 662

it' not different. survivors can also be better and still lose because of killer second chance perks and the terrible hitboxes. and game is dictated by survivors only if the killer is dumb enough to allow them to. survivors aren't op. the game is currently in a good state for both sides, just because you don't 4k every match doesn't mean the game is survivor sided.

I'm not the best survivor there is, but since Doctor's rework I have never successfully escaped him. He is pretty strong now, O don't really feel safe at any loop and having Madness III just makes it impossible to do well. I'm playing solo, BTW.

  • Kebek
    Kebek Member Posts: 3,676

You know that if doc spams his ability you can just loop him endlessly ? I mean, he's got a slowdown while using it and that slowdown is enough time to make another loop if he's spamming it as you say.

Maybe you mistook spamming with perfectly timing it so that he stops your pallet drop as good docs used to do before he even got his rework. I still don't understand what's wrong with strong chase powers like doc or freddy has. Seriously, most of the survivors enjoy only braindead looping against average powerless M1 killer. How's that fun, I love killer with good chase powers since there's potencial to get better and learn how to play against it. Pity that nurse got nerfed and isn't as common as she used to be, I miss trying to mindgame her.

    toxicmegg Member Posts: 662

no, i've been playing this game for 2,5 years now. i'm red rank killer and survivor. i just see things how they are, not how i want to see them.

  • ALostPuppy
    ALostPuppy Member Posts: 3,398

Well he's not OP in the slightest, and you need to seriously learn how this killer works if you're dying to Doctors who spam shock therapy over and over because that should never work. He slows down a lot when he uses it and doesn't get bloodlust (Or he might do, not sure). If you see him raise his hand you should consider trying to get to the next loop or keep running around the current loop. Of course he can fake it then but that's part of the mindgame and something that varies between the players you face. Play like you would against a Freddy or Clown. He punishes survivors who greed pallets and windows so the counter is to just not greed them. I guarantee once you play against him more he won't cause you much trouble at all.

So you played against a Doctor...tried to loop him like any normal M1 killer, and it didn't work, so he needs to be nerfed instead of adapting against him.

    DBD survivors in a nutshell.

We still haven't forgotten what you did to original Freddy.

That's how nurse got nerfed. Survivors whined their 1 trick pony didn't work on her. Instead of changing things up they begged for a nerf and they got their wish.

  • McLightning
    McLightning Member Posts: 949

I'd say between the Doctor and Nurse, the difference is that Nurse did have a small BS factor to her power. I'm now saying it needed to get nerfed, but like...a good analogy would be "I died Halo 2 Multiplayer. It was probably my own fault" compared to "I died in Cup Head, it was probably BS".

However, the BS was 100% from her addons and didn't need a base kit nerf...

  • EvilJoshy
    EvilJoshy Member Posts: 5,295

agreed. The add ons were one of the few things both sides agreed on something. Then the devs $#@%ed it up and went one step further.

Doctors shock does have a downside to it. While it gives the doctor a survivors location it also gives the survivors the doctor's location. It's pretty easy to know when a survivor is being chased without any aura reading perks.

This is why it is best to split up against the doctor. If I'm working on a gen and I see a survivor scream on the other side of the map I know I'm pretty safe to work on the gen especially since the doctor has no mobility.

Doctor is the least stealthiest killer of them all. You pretty much know where he is at all times. Use that to your advantage and work on gens furthest from where you see survivors screaming.
