Just been kicked out of a game and gotten a penalty

Hi,

OK, so this is a thing then. Got 3k+ hrs under my belt and have never DC'd from a Survivor game. Just in a SWF and kicked back to menu for no reason and gotten a 5 min timeout.

I guess I probably should go to bed now, but on principal now, you can add my voice to the angry masses.

Not impressed.

    Funny thing was, as I was "disconnected from host", I still got bps for the game? Go figure!?

    More and more cases crop up like this every day. You’d think they would be reviewing and adjusting it until the servers are more stable. None of these happened before dedicated servers and the rank update error also gets taken as a disconnect sometimes even though it occurs after the game has finished.

    Welcome too DBD, where nothing is balanced or working as intended and the playerbase always suffers for it.

    Unfortunately this is DBD now, you just have to hope it doesnt happen regularly as penalties get longer.

    It's worth it for the greater good.

    I'll take a 5 minute time out every hour if it helps segregate the people that want to play the game, vs people that only want to "win" the game.

    This DC ######### has got to stop somewhere...so it starts here, with a few bumps along the way.

    @FSB75 Do you think it prevents people who don't want to play from leaving the game?

    The only thing that's happening is that people who are unlucky enough to be kicked out of the game are penalized. There is no greater good in this. This bug is happening to my friend, and he is disconnected in half of the games he play.

    The timer is only increasing, and he will be forced to stop playing the game.

    You do know people don’t ONLY DC because they can’t “win?” People DC for various reasons:

    • Gtg
    • not having fun
    • bugs
    • weather
    • etc

    Not defending DCs, they’re annoying af. But now we deal with hook suicides. I don’t even play survivor as much as killer but had one game last night where a Jane got hooked first and attempted to suicide but I rescued her only for her to give herself to the killer and then the killer came for me. Thanks lol. Just DC so I don’t risk my gameplay.

    We ae just lucky that it does not happen every hour though. Maybe once every 8 hours

    Had that last night, twice. Not me, but a survivor I was against, in two games. Was in a chase with one, when boop. DC. Second game, was carrying to a hook after a good chase, had it saboed, boop. DC. Their buddy said they were kicked. Bugs me.
