Can bhvr create a survivor without daddy issues?
Was reading the new lore and thinking "damn a film maker obsessed with serial killers !"
*suddenly daddy issues*
Why bhvr, couldn't it be her mother at least

Claudette had mom issues at least. But yeah, a lot of survivors have parent problems, Jake, Claudette, Nea, David, Jane, Ash, Steve, Yui, and now Zarina.
Yeesh, dude.

Next survivor is a dad: has grandpa issues.

also feng, kinda.

Yeah Feng too, I guess I understated her parental influences.

Ash already exists.
5 -
dont forget Lauri, she got issues with daddy Myers

its a requirement from the entity to be a survivor, otherwise you will be a killer or the entity cant capture you cause your dad will go after her to get his revenge.
'Did you thought i was joking?" Julius- everybody hates chris.

If I remember right, Jeff had problems with his Dad too lol
The DbD lore writers might want to talk out some of their own parental issues before writing the next chapter lol.
Everyone has parental issues, but not everyone let's those issues define who they are.

A lot of killers have parenting issues too actually

Come on guys, EVERYONE has parent issues these days. pls send help.

Evan, Max, Michael (?), Herman made his parents fight, Anna lost her mom, Bubba, Amanda viewed John as a parent sorta, Kenneth, Rin for sure, Frank, Joey, and Susie specifically, Adiris, Kazan had son issues but also was judged by others because of his dad. Caleb and his dad got along real well, it seems.

Michael has no parent issues.

I got my remake and OG films mixed up then.

he kinda does
his parents put him in a mental asylum after what he did… he probably thought it was a good thing but according to his parents it was bad

Your parents, guardians, whoever raises you are the most important and impactful people in your lives. If you look at real life killers, you can see a lot of them had issues with their childhood and home life as well.

Michael murdered his sister. He was on the dark path before he was put in any mental hospital. He would have been put in one whether his parents wanted him in one or not. He murdered someone. The law rules in a case like that.
Furthermore there is not a scrap of evidence that suggests he has any kind of parental issues. The movie makes it clear through the Dr. Loomis character that Michael is simply pure evil.

I think they're just trying to make relatable characters so people will play them. The thing is if you see a really strong horse and an emaciated weak horse, which one are you going to saddle up with?
I get it, at the end of the days survivors are victims in a literal sense. They're supposed to be weak, but then you have survivors like Dwight and Meg. What are their weaknesses? Just not being popular? Moving home to take care of her family? No wonder they're so popular.
Just saying.

Even killers have this problem, wraith, billy i think, spirit

Dwight didn't really have parent issues, or at least I don't think so. Kate didn't either. But yeah, I wish they made the lore of killers and survivors more interesting. Not just "He got lost in the woods".

Clown 100% had parent issues.

Kate has the most interesting lore, since she was famous and had bassicaly everything she wanted
Dwight is just a nerd that sold pizzas
also
@Heartboundpretty sure they are famous because they are free

In Spirit's case, daddy "issues" might be a bit of an understatement.
0 -
Well you know what they say about spirits with daddy issues 😏🤣
0 -
Maybe. I think the real takeaway from this game is simple.
Don't have any disagreements with your parents or try to be the odd one out or a spider monster will kidnap you and make you suffer for all eternity as it sucks out your hope.

Well maybe it’s a sign? All these characters have parental problems, they’ve distanced themselves from their families, mentally and/or physically or they’re losing their families (Meg for example). This may be a sign of vulnerability and distrust so the Entity may prefer these people lore-wise. In an ideal situation, these people would be scared and not likely to trust the other survivors so quickly.
