Or is the deathslinger WAY to forgiving for when he makes a mistake? Like everytime ive played against him they always tunnel and camp a couple survivors and we can't really do anything since even if he messes up, fails a mind game, misses all his hits, in the end he instantly gets free hits because his rifle mixed with his unbreakable chain is just ridiculous

Yeah that's just you. His Redeemers hit box is extremely unforgiving and is actually one of the things he needs improved.

I mean hell we literally cant ever save a guy even at the max range because his chain will just not break ever. Unless you do it over a pallet its usually a guaranteed hit

Not really. He's better than most killers in the roster rn and the fact he literally doesn't have to worry about 90% of mistakes he makes yeah that makes him easy and good. He's not OP by any means but he doesn't have that much counter play if the deathslinger can actually aim his shots.

You should watch ScottJunds stream where he slows down the video clips of the Redeemers shots. It illustrates how unforgiving they are compared to Huntresses. It isn't a matter of being good at FPS's. You'll see in the clips how even shots directly on the survivors can miss because of the ping with dedicated servers.

It's just you in this instance I think. His chain is far from unbreakable, it's not meant to be broken by just mashing buttons it's meant to be broken when he messes up and uses it in a bad spot- which it does that just fine.
If a skill is the requirement then that isn't exactly a problem.

Im not saying "Oh make it breakable just by wiggling." But if 3 people are body blocking the chain from a 14 meter distance then yes it should be broken before he can hit the survivor

Why are 3 people trying to body block a chain anyways? That is like...an awful idea. Also 14 meter chain almost always breaks with nothing in the way anyways, I know because I've literally tested it for hours at every distance even with addons to affect reeling speed and such- his iri addon lets you exposed hit at 15meters+ and at 15 the chain broke almost everytime without addons to basically help you even do that.
So I feel you are exaggerating a little.

Ive been playing for years and yes hes better than most killers I think all you play is killer though. He's better than pig, clown, legion, (at times) trapper, cannibal, and (sometimes) plague. He doesn't have to worry about any short loops since you can always get a hit off unless you cant aim or get dedi'd, you can literally ignore your own mistakes since any distance the survivor makes can be negated, and he can pull you away from exhaustion perks so idk he seems PRETTY damn good.

Yeah but I mean it wasn't 14m out it would have had to be less than that, unless he stacked the 2 addons that let him reel in longer/faster, Prison chain and Gold Tooth- at which point that is just 2 rare addons doing their job.
Could argue those addons are OP but in that case you asked if it is just you or not, and I am saying I don't find that to be the case myself. I think it's fine so far.
It's too early to say either of us is right, that has to be looked into overtime and adjusted accordingly, but I would slow down on the "Unbreakable, totally forgiving" conclusions given it's so early. You asked "Is it just me or..." so that is what people are answering to.

No. Instead give him an alternate ability:
Press E to activate "High Latency" Then next shot fired from the redeemer will instantly lock onto the nearest survivor, guaranteeing a successful hit. This also allows the harpoon to phase through objects such as trees in order to score the hit.

He's got garbage addons, he's useless in a pallet loop, and he can be easily bullied. He's in the bottom half of killers. Not even near "one of the best in the game".
You say he's better than Pig, Clown, Legion, Trapper, Cannibal and Plague. All of which are EASILY some of the most underpowered killers in the game that need buffs. "one of the best" you say...oof; and even then, TRAPPER and Pig, while they don't have range, their power is not useless from the other side of a pallet like Deathslingers. I'm sorry - you are flat our wrong. You have rank 20 written all over you.
I mostly play survivor. almost 4000 hours in game, most of it survivor. Doesn't stop me from having sense.

That is more that person being unsportsmanlike than anything really, they likely would have tried to do that with anyone and any ability. I would try not to judge just off that experience and give it some more time, you might change your mind after playing against some more scrupulous killers.

I don't think he is that bad at all. I was having a lot of success with him on the PTB and he is weak at pallet loops but hella strong at windows, ledges, and other areas not a lot of killers can do much on. His gun injures, he can control when he is stunned unlike other killers, can reload without travel unlike plague/huntress etc....
Still, you are doing the same thing OP did. Jumping to conclusions prematurely, yet you talk down to him for doing that. You don't see the hypocrisy in that?

I've played about 14 hours of the PTB. Bullying this killer. It's not a "jumping to conclusion" situation. It's based purely off experience.
He needs a buff. He's only really good on his own map, and maybe (surprisingly) Haddonfield. Other than that, he's weak to pallets...like...good luck with him on Blood Lodge or Wreckers yard. OOF.

You misunderstand, they aren’t working as intended. Watch ScottJunds stream where he slows down the shot clips and you’ll see how buggy the shots are from ping with dedicated servers. Improving their hit box is to compensate for that.

That's not really the kind of time I would consider jumping to a conclusion territory. Those killers still have not adapted to playing him yet, and you haven't seen everything they have to offer. Experience would be knowing that, not immediately forming a black and white viewpoint beforehand.
More to the latter points, he is weak to pallets when trying to down a survivor, but you can score a free hit on them if they are healthy a lot of the time; and he has strengths on other areas away from pallets other killers don't have. He can also pull survivors from reaching pallets in the first place.
There are more elements than just one singular focus and we don't even know them all yet.

Im rank 1 you literally shout rank 20 things. You can literally avoid the instadown if you're competent enough to run a jungle gym for 1 minute. If he's at tier 1 you can just run him around so easily all game with little to no hassle, perks aren't being factored in, Deathslingers add-ons are pretty decent soooo

That's what the PTB is for. Testing a killers strength in the most dire circumstances. Bullying is just a term used to describe making cocky plays with OP survivor perks/items etc.

(I'll repost this) I don't understand this fetish that a killer's power must also hurt them to make the power fair or have some ludicrous drawback. The point of a killer's power is to HELP THEM, NOT hinder them.
Can we make it so med-kits and toolboxes slows a survivor's movement speed down, because they're too heavy to carry? Maybe add a 10% chance whenever a survivor fast vaults something that they trip/tumble and face plant into the ground too, while we're at it. /s

Except most fps dont have time for the projectile to travel. Some do, bust most copy pasted fps dont.
