Should I play Leatherface?
I've had him for a while and he always seems so fun but when i played him before i could never find ppl. Im wondering if its a good time to pick up chiliboi again and see how he plays. INB4 Complaints about insidious. Literally just lookin at killer himself and looking to get opinions from people better than me

You'll probably want PYWF/Nemesis if you want to perform well, but yeah he's pretty fun.

Unless you're a Texas chainsaw massacre fan, he's a waste of time. His power is a big hindrance and is only good for camping. He also relies on good addons and two perks to use his power in chase.
Wait until he get's reworked and actually becomes fun and useful.

All his perks are great though. So its definitely worth leveling him as I can't seem to get LF perks in the shrine of secrets

I disagree, he is really fun to play . especially if you run PWYF on him. a lot of people dont know how to use him properly .

You dont even need PWYF, just learn how and when to start your chainsaw. and what addons to use.

If you want to then just play him.
All the sweaty people will tell you he is bad/sucks etc.
He is not top tier, sure , but if you're not too sweaty then you may enjoy playing him.

Hes great if you know how to use him. Throw on Inisidous, Iron Grasp, and Agitation and you have a really good camping kit that will work against alot of survivors

He's not horrible, but outside of survivors being out of position, or someone is farming off hooks, his power is terrible without speed addons. PWYF/NEM is a decent choice, I'd also recommend bamboozle to shut down some loops or catch a survivor off guard for your chainsaw. Spirit fury/enduring build is also OK, but his gen pressure is ######### overall.

He's one of my favorite killers, but I don't play him like most people do. Most people will either use Usain Bubba with play with your food, or insidious camping bubba that absolutely no one likes.
First things first, his chainsaw is useless unless you have a clear shot, so I use carburetor tuning guide and primer bulb to make him instasaw, and if it's not clear, don't be afraid to M1 them. Now here's what makes my build different and completely "wrong", I use haunted grounds, NOED, pop, and BBQ. Absolutely no one expects instadown perks on leatherface, and I've yet to see a survivor that can resist that flaming totem. Surprises a lot of people and I can end the game with a well timed haunted grounds.

He's great to use. Just equip a basement build on him and you'll have fun or just facecamp with him.

Leatherface positives: Some of the better teachables in the game, knock out is mandatory for slugging builds, BBQ & Chili is almost mandatory for the ridiculous BP grind in this game unless you have a survivor with WGLF you can use to get BP's. Franklin's demise is nice when you see 4 toolboxes or flashlights in their hands.
He can down multiple people with his chainsaw as opposed to Billy who can only down one at a time.
Leatherface negatives: He's a bad M1 killer if you can't catch people out enough to get the chainsaw going. He has no way to stop loops outside of perks, no map or generator pressure without perks.
Recommended Perks: As others have said Nemesis/PWYF is very helpful as it lets you keep moving the obsession to get stacks for speed boosts. Another mandatory in my opinion is Monitor and Abuse for the reduced terror radius to let you get on top of people to start the chainsaw rev. Along that same vein Tinkerer can also be a good substitute. As far as generator perks the standard top tier ones apply (PGtW, Tremors, Corrupt Intervention).

Exactly, relies on a perk to use his power. A perk from another licensed killer mind you so to make Leatherface fun to play you have to purchase Michael, level him up to get his teachable and then unlock it on Bubba. Yeah... great game design...

I mean , you dont really need it. I've played several games where I didnt use it . it just helps. hes a lot more fun to play as than a lot of killers. I'd rather play as him then someone like clown or plague. or even freddy because he's too easy to use .

Don't even get me started on Freddy, low skill and boring. Yes I'm well aware (because I main Bubba). But he still relies on good addons to use is power against good players who abuse his many flaws.

yeah , bubba definitely needs some love in regards to his addons. hell I would also be fine with them giving his basekit some love.

Just played my first round of bubba, reving the chainsaw made me slower than survivors, couldnt find anyone until 3 gens popped, i think imma go back to pig or.freddy

If you need his teachable perks, you definitely should. I played him to unlock his teachables, but couldn't get used to the chainsaw, and the slow down drove me crazy, so I mostly used him as an m1 killer. And, if you are going to just do that, there are better m1 killers, so I have not played him since. I'm sure lot of people do well with him, he's just not for me.

Dont get fooled leatherface can do well its all about knowing when to m1 when to chainsaw
also never use the chili add ons their bad what i like to run on him is moniter pop discordance/bbq iron maiden
