Let Wraith close the hatch while cloaked
There is zero reason that the Wraith cannot close the hatch while cloaked. He can kick gens and break pallets while cloaked, but not close the hatch? Why? And don't feed me "hatch stand offs" because it doesn't happen. If a killer sees the hatch, they close it immediately. This is one of many dumb limitations that killers in this game have.

What... I think you might be bugged? Wraith can totally kick it while cloaked unless I’m having some funky hysteria

I literally stand on top of it until someone gets close to me and close it in their face.

You can. He has had this ability since the feature to close the hatch was added I'm pretty sure.

First thing I did after egc was introduced was wait cloaked on the hatch for the last survivor and kick it shut when they were almost there.
I then gave them the door because I'm not that mean, but anyway yes you can do it.

I found this out in a very tragic situation.
I found the hatch and had a map equipped. I wanted to see the hatch aura via my map (I could never seem to find it with the map or I had already lost it etc). So instead of just running up the hill and in to the hatch, I stopped to check my map...
Wraith wandered up the hill and closed the hatch. And I died. And lost my map. 😥

Yes, you can. Like Loomis, I found this out the hard way.
The Wraith was waiting for me to run for the Hatch, and then proceeded to close it when I was inches away.
Safe to say I didn't jump in.

i think you need to stand in front of it (or on any side around it) in order to be able to close it. if you stand right on top of it i dont think you can close it no matter who you are.

I believe you can't be directly on the Hatch, but i've closed it from multiple angles while cloaked.

Yes you can do it, on Haddonfield survivor offering I had a toxic Nea wait to t-bag me whilst on hatch.
I noted round the back l, snuck up on them and closed it whilst cloaked... I'm expecting this to be nerfed as it was too OP for that survivor

I think using a map to find the hatch is either broken or ineffective. I did the same as you TWICE (lucky for me the killer was not around) and both times the hatch only showed up on the map when I was within hearing distance. That defeats the purpose! With add-ons I could see totems across the map, but not the hatch. The only way it could be useful is to let you know what side of the wall the hatch is on, if you have one blocking your sight and the killer is trying to beat you to it.

Right- same for survivors. Can't open it if you are directly on top of it. I think it's kind of stupid for this to have somewhat of a semi-realistic mechanic.

i mean, its not really gamebreaking but its kinda dumb i agree on that.
they could change that when they have some free time on their hands. would make for a nice little QoL change.

He can. I've done it so many times. I've even camped the hatch invisible and when the survivor appears, I close it and I kill him.

I've just got to hatch and it wouldn't let me cloaw the hatch because I was cloaked
Literally cost me 4 kills becsuse it wouldn't let me close it.
Wow. This game gets worse and worse with how many times is fudges me over. I'd expect this game to but me dinner first before having me all over place.

Well, as with the OP, you may have been standing on it wrong. You can close the Hatch when closed. I know this because I main Wraith. You just have to be very specific with it. You can't be directly on top of it, you have to be slightly off center. Then, you can close it from any angle.
If you couldn't close it no matter what, it was a bug- Even more so if the Survivor's prompt overtook yours. Usually, Killer gets priority on the hatch prompt.
