SWF Indicator for Killer in Lobby?
Wondering if it would make sense to show a SWF/duos indicator in lobby when you play as killer?
That way you can adjust your perks etc. and not put on something like knockout etc.
Obv. one negative side effect would be people dodging but on the other hand games would be more fun for killer as you choose perks better

Yeah but a lot more people will be dodging lobbies and until they can make it do survivor queue times aren’t 10+ minutes they will do everything they can to prevent killers from lobby dodging.

Dodging shouldn't be an issue with dedicated servers though. If the Killer backs out, their "Ready Up" slash mark turns black until a new Killer takes their place.
"But what if EVERY Killer who joins dodges them?"
Give the Killer a 25% post-match Bloodpoint bonus for each member of the SWF to incentivize staying.
"But what if there are 2 groups of 2 SWF? Wouldn't the Killer be getting 100% bonus points, even though the Survivors' teamwork is only half as strong as a 4-man?"
Then divide the total bonus by the number of SWF groups in the lobby:
- (A B) C D = (25+25)/1 = 50(% bonus Bloodpoints)
- (A B C) D = (25+25+25)/1 = 75(% bonus Bloodpoints)
- (A B C D) = (25+25+25+25)/1 = 100(% bonus Bloodpoints)
- (A B) (C D) = (25+25+25+25)/2 = 50(% bonus Bloodpoints)

They'll never implement this because of potential dodging.
However, I think they should at least put it in the after match info so you can know what you were up against.
Not ever showing it kinda just feels like they're hiding the games problems.

Yeah unless they punish killers for dodging... I never dodge lobbies, don't see the point of it

I would like to be able to see groups, even as survivor as well. Sometimes solo queuing and being with 3 people who are all together is a nightmare, because they don't care as much about rescuing you. Overwatch has it so you can see who is grouped, so that way you can see if it is a whole stack throwing, and you can just avoid one of them as a teammate so avoid all of them. I know DBD doesn't have an avoid as teammate type thing, but i still think it would be nice for both ends to see who was grouped up together so you know what you are dealing with.

Unless you are a console gamer, literally just click on everyone's name. Its super easy in most games to find out if you have a SWF or not.

It takes forever for people's steam profiles to open for me, and many of them are set to private.
1 -
Instead they should implement auto dodge. Would be the same result but with less clicking.

Use to be like that. But survivors complained about it because of lobby dodging

You have 40 seconds to open 2-4 steam profiles. If that is not enough time for those pages to load, you really should talk to your internet provider.

The web browser in steam overlay has always been slow for me for no reason.

Yeah BBQ isn't enough bloodpoints for killers, they need more. Especially with ebony moris in every other bloodweb at worst.

Not everyone plays on PC

That's a myth

Don't join halfway through a conversation dude and act like your wise. My initial post is below, read the first 6 words.

It's almost like we're gonna live forever isn't a thing. Literally BBQ for survivors.
Oh right, it's not "meta" so you can't leave behind your precious dead hard, borrowed time, DS, and unbreakable.

Survive With Friends isn't enough teamwork for Survivors; they need more (voice chat).
Killers have to give up a perk slot for BBQ. Survivors need only join the same voice chat service.

Really? When was that? @MigrantTheGreat

Well, if they added it, the SwF would not need to re-group as dedicated servers will keep them in.
And the game wont die as these people are addicted and will just start to play solo.
Anyway, fairly certain that something similar is in the works

Bbq has an actual in game use. Wglf doesn't. Also the killer doesn't have to compete with someone for stacks. They literally just have to play the game.

Even Im a low rank Killer, I dont dodge lobby. But I need to know if there is a SWF so I get better add-on perk or killer, rather than using Trapper and have fun around.
My normal perks are Nurse call, Blood warden, Bitter murmur, Dear stalker. Thanks to the incoming SWF Clau Clone, I add Noed & Rancor with Mori. If I didnt know this was a SWF, I might stop playing the game after this match
I never care of 4K, I want to pressure/dominate Survivor and at least 2 hooks each Survivors, then I can leave them escape. Still able to pip with 0K. But the game is not allow it.

It won't ever happen, most killers would dodge knowing they're up against survivors with a huge advantage. If swf groups were as uncommon as some would have us believe, implementing such a system wouldn't be so bad.

Before dedicated servers I believe. Swf would spawn in the lobby at the same time. But they changed for survivors sake because
1. Killers would lobby dodge.
And I don't blame killers for not wanting to deal with swf
2. Killers were brining mori's to deal with it
This led up to the events of survivors quitting out of the game to cancel the match so they didn't have to deal with mori's

Personally, I think killers who dodge EVERY SWF are just bad at the game.
Yes there are death squads and bullies in the SWF pool, but not all of them are like that. So if you dodge SWFs, you're kiiinda admitting your own skill suck because you're saying you're not confident in your skills to take on a group of players that may be optimal and may be not.
One of the reasons I'm against giving the killer an indication of SWF is because a lot of killers tend to think they're not good enough or that they have a stigma they are completely unfair.
And that would just kill matchmaking time for everyone. The killer, solo Qs, casual SWFs. It'll just be horrible as killers who dodge would only want to face players they think are fair to their mind.

Um No
I left the lobby 5 second later after taking this picture.

@KingOfBadRNG Why? Im rank 13 and still play the game. Of course with meta perk/addon/mori. I understand 4toolbox though

The same could be said about swf. Since I've switched to PC I've noticed something about survivors. On console most red rank survivors can only reach red ranks as a swf but can't carry their own weight solo, and on PC most red rank survivors seem better solo.
Back when I was on console I would dodge swf because I didn't agree with the advantage swfs have. A lot of survivors claim that they just 'wanna play with friends' or 'wanna talk while playing' but they don't realize that while they are doing what they claim they are doing, they are giving themselves a advantage by passing information. It's why I disagree with OoO within a swf

Im gonna be honest, I dont dodge them cause i fear they're too good. I dodge them, cause the most toxic games BY FAR are from 4-swf games.
And i want to keep playing killer for years to come without ruining my mood from depressed teenies. Some of them play solely to ruin your fun and they exist quite often at highranks. So i take a big fat negative factor out of this game. I just dont like dealing with those wannabe pro squads, who think they're ochidoooo duuuude, leeeel. Too old for this

I think showing SWF in lobby would be really unhealthy for the game. You'd see increased dodging and an unwarranted sweat fiesta from a lot of killers.
You don't realize you're playing against a SWF most of the time. A lot of SWFs are duos that aren't even on comms. A lot of 4 man SWFs aren't even talking about the game on comms. You'd be putting a spotlight on every SWF because of the way maybe 25-50% of SWFs play.
2 -
I'm pretty sure the majority of people who play survivor plays with friends.
I know at least 6 people who play DBD only because they can play with other people, they've never touched Killer because it doesn't interest them.
2 -
Oh you must be new here. They removed rank indicators for the reason of leaving based on rank. They dont let anyone know any rank or party info about the other. So people cant do VERBATIM what you want.

Can survivors get a killer indicator in lobby? That way they can adjust their perks aswell for the killer they're going up against.
0 -
@PB182 They do, it's the fifth check mark in the bottom right corner, here's a guide in case you're new: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Gameplay_Guide_%26_Hints

What about showing indicator in the match? Or post match/scoreboard page? When I am outplayed by the survivors I'm always curious if they are SWF or just a very coordinated randoms.
SWF gives advantage to survivors because of communications.
I personally would like it to be in game, some kind of icon next to the survivor icon on the bottom left. That way killers can adjust their strategy in a match when they know theyre against SWf, just as survivors adjust their strategy based on information shared in SWF
