Unspoken rules as survivor
Don't run towards people doing gens when chased unless your SWF looper tells you to for him to take the killer off you
Don't unhook if the killer is chasing you and he ain't stunned or in an animation, HE'S GONNA GRAB YOU...
Don't steal your teammate's item from a chest right after he opened it
99 doors if possible, don't open them until everyone is ready to leave or you're good enough to make the hook save and let that person leave
Don't heal next to the killer if he can hear you're injured... Even if you think you're well hidden, remember people with ears play this game
Don't unhook when chased by Bubba unless you have BT or you KNOW the guy on hook has DS
If you see someone using fixated to walk stealthy, don't run next to them leaving your scratchmarks there...
If the last gen is being done by you and another surv, and you know where is an exit door go towards it when the last gen is 80%+
Don't try to blind the killer carrying a surv when you're injured if you don't know how and the killer is gonna down you too...
Don't do body blocks if the hook is right there where the surv was downed unless you have the items and perks to do it, it just give's the killer easy post hook chase to down you too and have 2 hooked survivors one next to the other
If it's the spirit and you see a Hex, wait till someone on a chase is injured to cleanse it, it might be HG
If a guy is downed and slugged sometimes it's better for you to do other stuff instead of going to heal him, wait for him to heal up and then go for the 1 tap heal.
ANY OTHER'S YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?

If the killer is face camping do the gens and get out. Don't let this scummy tactic pay off.
17 -
Unless you have the skill, item and perks to do the save. Example: 1 guy face camped, 2 friends doing gens, I go with flashlight, blind the face camper with my flashlight, unhook with BT, take a hit, and in case he wants me now use my DH to keep up the loops.

If I got downed by bubba, he takes me to the basement, he doesn't leave, doesn't take his finger off the chainsaw AND I'm running Kindred. There is zero excuse to let that douche bag get more kills. Not everyone needs to get out. Don't let noob killers like that rank up. It only lead to more survivors whining and leading to more killer nerfs.

Yeah, Bubba and Billy does not enter in this:

Sometimes you can't help but run toward a gen. If a killer gets run toward you doing a gen rarely did they know that. I rarely 99 doors and unless they are camping hard I can usually unhook them and give them a chance to escape. I agree not to let scummy killers rank up or as far as that goes I rather not see killers in general rank up, but I don't really care if killers get nerfed. I'm not going to shed any tears over that, but I am not one to say this or that perk should get nerfed either.

Don't (in general) cleanse against the Plague and turn her into a super huntress. When people do that it almost makes you want to dc or go hide in a corner until they all die so you can just find the hatch and leave.

1) Don’t run Urban Evasion. Learn to loop, hide better or just start running to a safer area.
2) Don’t run Self Care. Bring a medkit instead.
3) If you see that a survivor is getting chased, you no longer have an excuse to play stealthy and walk/crouch.
4) Don’t let the killer generate pressure because you wan’t to “save” your Sprint Burst while going to the next gen or making a hook save.
3 -
I don't agree with this one, with my usual red ranks SWF if she get's corrupted we all hide until she looses it, there you go.
3 -
I'll answer each:
1) I agree, I do run fixated though, it helps loop the killer and then POOF "where TH did he go?!"
2) Yes, I preffer another perk that aids the team or me at the cost of me bringging a med kit
3) LMAO, you have no idea how many times I've encountered this
4) That's why I run fixated, the combo of fixated + Sprintburst is amazing, either you fixate and move fast AH traversing the map and Sprintburst if by any chance he sees me or I just use SB and fixate as I get to a corner, the killers lose me every time
0 -
Fixated is infinitely superior to Urban Evasion.
1 -
With a SWF team we all did and it worked out but if as a solo I almost always die if we cleanse.
0 -
I agree with this, except for #2. I don't have Urban Evasion so I can't comment on that, but I see nothing wrong with someone using it. I would say that under NO circumstances should No Mither be used, you're just a liability to the other survivors.

I run UE and there is nothing wrong with that perk as long as you actually go and do things. Self-care is useful but without a medkit painfully slow and if he has sloppy butcher makes it even worse. I prefer to bring a med kit as a crutch and then run inner strength and detective's hunch--it has the added bonus of making you do totems, of course I go after them anyway with reckless abandon. Nothing better for some killer to bring in NOED and you kill all his totems before it can activate or better yet he has two or three hex perks and you kill them all reducing him to a one perk killer. And if a survivor is being chased I would hope I'd have already UE'ed over to a gen someplace.

My SWF squad never runs it because it’s a waste of time crouching everywhere. Fixated is slightly faster (right?) and let’s you see your scratch marks while healthy, which has great synergy with Sprint Burst.
Detective’s + Inner Strength is amazing.

-if a survivor is waving their arms on hook they are being camped
-don't run the killer toward a hooked person but away from hook so someone else can save
-careful not to three gen, try not to do the gen next to the one you are on unless there are 3 gens in one area
-if you are being pushed out the exit gate, atleast take a hit to test for NOED
-when playing against a spirit try to cleanse when she is in chase with an injured surivivor
-rancor should not try and open the exit gate
-healthy survivors or those who have never been hooked should go for risky saves
2 -
Be as toxic as possible if the killer didnt play the way you wanted him to.
3 -
You know that Self Caring with Sloppy Butcher (a very common perk) activated takes a ridiculous 40 seconds or something to heal, right? It’s undoubtedly better to take a medkit or something like Inner Strength, or even Bond to find teammates that can heal you.
1 -
I don't see a lot of Sloppy Butcher in my matches. What does happen is that survivors usually run off after unhooking, so I much rather have Self Care than try to find survivors to heal me. Sometimes I do bring med kits, but eventually they will deplete and I like the convenience of SC.
0 -
I can see how Self Care is popular in casual solo survivor games (harder to coordinate healing), but it’s almost useless in SWF (which I play at red rank).
Self Caring just takes far too long versus healing once you have a teammate or two to do it for you.

Lol, I actually mean the opposite, waving my arms mean "Freaking come for me damn it!"
3 -
Yeah, it doesn't mean crap now, but that was the initial meaning until people started doing it just cuz.

The problem about UE is that MOST people don't use it as they should, they literally use it to go everywhere...
Yes, fixated is slightly faster, I love it

1) No, Urban is extremely useful if used correctly.
2) If ran with Botany it's fine. Otherwise, yeah don't run it.
3) Agreed. Move your ass.
4) Same as above.
0 -
Be honest, do you see it used “correctly” most of the time?
1 -
If you are getting camped (by a Bubba for example), dont ######### on Hook. Give your Teammates time to do the Gens.
2 -
No. If I went by that standard, half the perks in the game would need to be deleted.
0 -
It’s a perk mostly utilized for unnecessary immersion that will get your team killed.
0 -
It is a 100% valid playstyle as long as you are doing something. So if I using stealth do three gens, two totems and unhook someone I suppose that wasn't a valid playstyle after all.
1 -
Don't camp pallets, you're just going to drop it and run, probably get hit anyway and now there's a loop gone. Don't throw God pallet if you're uninjured, OR there's still 5 gens up.
My soul dies when I see God pallet thrown and they get hit anyways early game
1 -
I think gens before friends is one of the most important unspoken rules. If they go into second state when they had every resource on the map to work with it's there own fault.
0 -
Or I'll play the game how I want, and have fun doing it...sorry but I'll run where I want...I'll drop whatever pallet I want...and I'm sure as hell not going to 99 the doors...the game is about surviving...your fault you got caught at the end...sorry not sorry

It's more about risk vs reward. If you think you can get the save, you should. Largely because saving someone is worth quite a few points. But if you can't then yeah, just leave.
1 -
1) I can save you off Hook, I can heal you if your down or injured and I could take it for you if you need it however I can't cure stupidity. Stop doing dumb stuff if it's going to get you killed
2) If your purple ranks or higher and you get yourself killed because you blatantly have no idea how killers' powers works especially at endgame you're on your own I'm out.
( This includes hiding in lockers against a feral frenzy Legion, feeding the Myers, cleansing, stepping in a bear trap that you clearly see being placed or thinking you can win in a chainsaw vs idiot fight against the camping Billy or Leatherface)
3) If you get on my gen and mess up a skill check at least have the common decency not to run away like a little b*tch and commit
4) For the love of god if the killer is using you as bait to get a 4K can you please not crawl to me. Likelihood is the killers keeping relative attention of where you're going you are literally leading them to my location.
5) Better together will make the gen I'm working on light up if the killer is on you avoid that light like the Black Death. Me using the perk is not an invitation for you to rub the killer off on me.
6) Please if there's two of us left and only one generator can we at least make an attempt to try to escape instead of just having you camp the hatch and wait until I die. Also if I'm playing killer and I notice that you're doing this I'm definitely going after you and letting the other person live.
7) Hey Meg, The Killers on the other side of the map I get that you have sprint burst but can you actually stop crouching / walking, pull up your frilly panties come and save me before I slip into second stage
8) if it's unnecessary can you please not disarm the Trap before you save me on hook it's just a notification for the Trapper to come back to the earlier if he's not occupied
9) borrowed time does not mean that you didn't farm me. If the killer is chasing you don't come for me unless there is an open exit gate for me to run to with that borrowed time.
10) Guys can you please stop hanging around the hook or looping around the hook. So basically please don't give the killer an excuse to stay by the hook especially if you're just going to complain then call them a camper after the match.

Survivors are telling survivors how to play now? When will the madness stop 😱
1 -
Nah, I main both, but it's funny how people do this a lot when I play solo, hehehe

I think it would be more accurate to say commit to a strategy against Plague. Either all cleanse or no one cleanse. Saying bar none never cleanse is stupid because on inside maps I would rather chase you around only needing one hit than having to puke around walls. But if 2-3 of you refuse to cleanse and the other person/people do you better conform and not stick to your strategy because you're screwed.
Little known (or at least implemented) strategy is also cleanse in every pool quickly, it forces the corrupt to be taken when they don't necessarily want it. Hard to pull off but I've done it while someone was being carried into basement a couple times and it wastes a ton of time on the corrupt.

I dont care how people play lol they payed for the game, they can play how they want.
1 -
If they want to lose, cause you know, people LOVE to lose in videogames, that's why they play them
0 -
Not even going to attempt to remember amy of this, I'm just gonna play the game to the best of my ability and in a manner that allows me to have fun while not hindering anyone else's ability to.

That was hard to read
1 -
If someone unhooks you and the killer is far away, don't run all the way across the map. Let them heal you. Also this is my opinion, don't run at all. walk to the nearest hiding point so the killer can't read your scratch marks and he hopefully will go off looking for you in other places across the map.

Dude... I run We'll make it... Imagine my anger when the guy just runs away...
