When teammates leave you till struggle

Just die on hook. What's the point? You're now on death hook and your teammates are incompetent so it's already pretty much over anyway. It's especially awful when you go down after a 2 minute chase and they leave you. And there still aren't any gens done

Well that sucks but usually gens should be done when you leave someone on hook as long. However you still can take more points with you, death hook =/= death . But hey throw the towel if it pleases you.

I hate it when they leave me on hook and I see they are doing gens and I figure they are close to finishing it or something. But nope, I get into second phase and gen is still not done then they leave the gen, still not finished, to come save me. Nope. If you are going to dedicate that hard to a gen you better finish it or I'm out of here.

I usually look at the whole situation of why I was left to go on 2nd stage.

Was the killer patrolling near me and gens were at the other side of the map, if so I dont even mind if my sacrifice lets everyone else escape. But if I go to 2nd stage when killer is literally at the other side of the map pressuring all other 3 survivors and none is coming for save then I'll help myself out and go to the next match.

If they are complete noobs and aren't doing anything, i agree with you. But sometimes someone is left on hook to do gens, which increases the probability of victory. So, if your mates are doing something useful and are leaving you on hook in order to win the match, don't #########

If it's a big map and your hooked the completely opposite side to me, chances are I'm going to be a douch and leave you lol I'm far to lazy to make the trip,

Yep if I second stage and there are 3 other survivor's I'll die on my first hook. If I'm far away from the hooked person, I'll keep an eye out around me, if the killer is chasing another team mate or I see the obsession bars moving I'll stop what I'm doing and get the save.

Acceptable reasons: Finishing a gen, Being chased by killer, killer is patrolling hard and you don't have borrowed time, you are on the other end of a large mapx you assumed someone else was closer and would get them but at a certain point you realized that wasn't the case and have to go get them

Unacceptable reasons: I just got on gen, I have a rare item/add on, LuL I'm not getting them and getting chased, I'm sure someone else will get them, I have to finish this quest, I hate [insert survivor name here] players and they deserve to die, I don't rescue people on [insert map name here]

Situational reasons: They're AFK(may have come back), end game collapse, NoED is still in play, make your choice is in play, finishing an escape quest, you're on death hook, you're bad at looking, you have no perks to maximize a safe rescue, you're against a killer you know for a fact gives you trouble, you don't know who the killer is, you're in the dream world, thanataphobia, it's a trapper, it's a doctor, it's a Freddy, situational Legion

With the situational things it's a matter of simple rescues that go horrible because of things such as inability to communicate where traps, snares are, TPs, perks that make you move slower, broken, injured, exposed, etc that up the risk of simple rescues. Doctor especially has become lousey to tht point two people have to commit to a rescue for one person and they will shock people into madness/interrupt a rescue with shocks and force them to run away due to madness 3.

I do not agree with just letting yourself die on hook if the others don't come quickly enough before you enter the struggle phase. I have survived many times when I was not saved before struggle started, but that does not mean you will die in the trial, because unless the killer is camping, he or she will have to hunt you down again.

There are many reasons why people don't just leave everything to just go for the save right away. They might be fixing a gen that is half done and ruin is on, for example, so they decide to finish the gen first and go for the save later. Sometimes just going for the save is not the best option.

Sometimes your team cannot save you, if they are far away, are almost done with a gen, killer is camping you or at least hanging around the area. You shouldn't let yourself die on the hook, because they can still get you and if the killer doesn't tunnel you then you can help. You should really try to think of reasons why they might not have been able to get you. Even if they don't get you because they are just being stupid, like crouching behind a rock while the killer is no where near you *looking at you meg* then you can still be saved. May as well try to escape, or at least get some extra points in hopes not to lose a pip.
