What Two Perks Do You Have A Problem With? (Doesn't Matter How Obscure)

Mettle of Man takes top prize, and really any of the three Myers’ perks because they really don’t give you anything in return for a serious handicap in its place. Perks should give you some sort of extra advantage. These just pile on and added challenge for what, bloodpoints? They help you lose, not win.

  • Dying Light is actually very useful. Each time a survivor who isn't the obsession gets rescued it gives you a token and slows down all types of progression. I actually managed to get it to 8 tokens in a game. It was a massacre XD.

Save the best last is also insane but only with killers like Huntress, Hillbilly, Demogorgon and basically anybody else who has anything else apart from the M1 or right trigger to attack.

Decisive Strike is my biggest issue. I feel it shouldn’t have a timer and if you feel the timer is necessary maybe it can be used more then once, for instance second hook and death hook.

NOED doesn't reward bad plays any more than it punishes survivors for ignoring totems.

    That being said:

D-Strike. It needs to be conditional to be made anti-tunnel only.

and as far as killer perks...I mean...if I have to choose a killer perk, probably Haunted Grounds...because my idiot team mates always destroy it as the killer is on his way to all of us. Like clockwork.

For survivor would have to be DS. Can't think of a more annoying or overused perk that can be the difference between a sacrifice or a tbagging exit run.

For killer I'd say Ruin because they never should have messed with it in the first place and the new percentage increments are dogshit.

    hmm...

i think infectious isnt that big of a problem (unless its used on Billy, thats a little too strong imo), but it does have counters (e.g. calm spirit)

i fully agree on OoO though, its by far the most annoying survivor perk to exist and imo it should get reworked.

now, my personal picks would be:

    Dead Hard

because i think this perk gives way too much of a recovery when a survivor messes up at basically no cost - i can outplay them around pallets all i want, they just deadhard to safety and then loop me for 2 more gens. its weird with this one... sometimes its utterly useless and sometimes its just waaay too strong - especially the good old "Dead Hard for distance"

    Decisive Strike

this one, while i get and support the idea of it, really just makes it miserable to play against most of the time. like, freshly unhooked survivors with Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike will act like they were invulnerable, just because they can literally not be punished for anything for a full minute - and you cant even wait it out and slug them when they find a locker. honestly, i think i wouldnt mind this perk so much if it wouldnt work on grabs, cause i HATE when i hook someone, some other weirdo starts insta unhooking them, i grab them away and suddenly im looking at the ground for 6 seconds while both of the survivors just leave. its really not fair when i dont even have the intention to tunnel, but they literally jump in my face and force me to - and then punish ME for it THEIR misplay.

    some honorable mentions:

    Borrowed Time

this one really just encourages hookfarming which i HATE as both survivor and killer. as survivor its obvious, since when the killer is tunneling i am gonna die and as a killer i feel like its a huge disrespect towards me when they just unhook in my face (or DS me and then the BT guy bodyblocks for them and they all get a free escape and its really stupid). imo the perk would be a lot better if it would simply apply the penalities to the rescuer when the unhooked survivor gets hit - regardless of weather he got BT or not.

    Hex: No One Escapes Death

and no, this is not your usual NOED rant. my main problem with the perk right now is, that it is supposed to punish those who didnt cleanse totems and reward those who did - yet it doesnt. NOED will always hit at the exact same strength when at least one totem is standing. so when NOED activates it does not matter at all weather you did 4 totems or none, you get punished all the same. i think NOED would be better if it would punish those who didnt cleanse totems at all harsher than those who did - my idea would be to simply have all remaining dull totems light up with NOED once the exit gates are powered. that way, if i did 4 totems there will only be one, but when i did none there will be 5, so its a lot harder to get rid of it. ive also had an idea regarding a full on rework for the perk, but that'd be too long now. hit me up if you are interested xD

Zanshin Tactics & Windows Of Opportunity

both of these i have one simple problem with: they are supposed to help new players find a loop in their surroundings when they dont know the maps yet, but unless you buy the DLC you wont have any access to them! if you are F2P by the time you unlock these you already know how the game works, you dont need them anymore! i think both of these should be fully reworked and the current version of them should be made an overall available perk. we havent seen any new non teachables in ages after all.

thats my thoughts on it, feel free to tell me what you think ^^

Sprint burst: The least skillful braindead ez outplay perk, you just run when the killer gets close (Dead hard is actually the most skillful exhaustion perk)

Self-care: me meg, me self-care against Leg with anti healing build, in a corner, even as killer this perk makes me mad (not because its good, it just reminds me of soloQ)

    Killer-

Rancor- I am beyond tired of obsession perks but this perk, similiar to NOED, rewards players for failing to do their objective, by offering a consolation prize. Not to mention the free info it offers everytime a gen pops. No effort necessary.

    Survivor

Object of Obsession-promotes trolls, is highly obnoxious and outdated. I wouldn't mind seeing it deleted from the game.

Object of Obsession is by far the worst perk in the game. Very rarely is it ever used by hopeful Lauries trying to earn their adept, it’s always the bs Claudettes, Neas, and toxic survivors who have way too much advantages. I will hunt you down if I see you use it without remorse.

Head On is very trolly too, but I’m going to say that Spine Chill is another perk that gives survivors an unfair advantage - especially against stealth killers. At the very least it should be on a cool down.

For killers, Insidious is really bad - as a perk and as something to use against your opponents. It encourages camping and is very unsportsmanlike. It would be so much better if it masks your radius and aura for 40/50/60 seconds upon hooking someone.

Then it’s a tie between Furtive Chase and all of Demogorgon’s perks. They are absolutely useless.

As much as i want to rant about perks i hate, i'm gonna be positive and look at some perks i think are too weak.

    Cruel Limits:

There's potential for it to be a neat little perk, but it falls so short & it hurts so much.

    Hex: Retribution:

Killers: Hex perks are only provide a risk to the killer making them mostly useless as survivors can just disable them with most of them not being strong enough to warrant it

    BHVR: *makes another bandaid perk*

Also i've just wanted a new Hex for quite a while & to just have it be a worse Thrill gets to me... like, come on "Hex: Retribution" you waste THAT on aura reading

    Infectious Fright

    Encourages scummy and boring gameplay

    No Mither

For being utterly useless, playing constant injured music, and still allows you to drop blood orbs against Oni even though the perk isn't supposed to let you bleed at all

I'll do 2 perks for killers and 2 perks for survivors

For survivor it's DS and Unbreakable. Run them together and once a survivor is off the hook there is literally no way to counter anything they do for the next 60 seconds.

For killer probably Infectious Fright and Bamboozle. While I can see why infectious is good now, because it's impossible to win a game without snowballing or slugging, it's still a little annoying as survivor. Bamboozle is just a badly designed perk that's boring to see used all the time, because every chase is exactly the same thing: The killer holds W towards a window, vaults it then forces a pallet drop. Rinse repeat. Stupidly boring gameplay.

    Lightweight:

For a perk that’s about leaving tracks, you’d think at least the running noises or footsteps wouldn’t be as loud.

No Mither: I get it, it’s DBD on hard mode, but there’s virtually no reward for it. None. You won’t get slugged since they know you can get up.
