Im totally disapointed with the new survivor
You have already gone, 3 surviving men and only one woman. And now you come back to take out another man by unbalancing the number of survivors between men and women. And it's another like tap. Sincerely you have disappointed me as a player, discouraged to continue playing and above all, disappointed. I was hoping you would actually get a survivor around the murderer's lore, a Japanese one. You have completely disappointed me with your last decisions, especially with this one. I really hope you reconsider and do things well.

Before adding this survivor there were an equal amount of playable men and women. Do you want it to be unbalanced with more women? Don’t get me wrong, I was hoping for a female survivor too, but this survivor is a babe, and his abilities are neato! And he’s a teacher, how do you know he didn’t work at the university the killer went to?

Not gonna lie, I was also hoping for a Japanese girl character and wanted to main her. well judging from Doctor how they alternate the origin (African Killer) so this is honestly a surprise as well. since they did Japanese Killer + Jamaican on this one

Perhaps the Jamaican survivor was her lover or someone she knew in life that tried and failed to protect her. Both would be right along the Entity's lore. Since the Entity would get amusement from both possible survivor stories torments about facing her.

Dude, come on. The game alternates between more males, more females, etc., they can do whatever. Besides, the new guy is black, shouldn't you be crawling all over that?

They released a british man with a russian Killer, a black Killer with a chinese woman, another african american with a hispanic.

On console there was an equal amount but not on PC. Bill makes 7 male characters and there is only 6 female. Adam makes an 8th male character. 8 males and 6 females. I don’t particularly care however. Y'all are complaining about the characters look well boys and girls it wont matter what your skin colour nationality or gender, because ill still enjoy slicing you wide open and showing you all were all the same on the inside XD. Seriously though I like the idea were getting a teacher as a survivor for dbd. His backstory is sincere honest and unique from the rest of the characters. People keep comparing him to tapp but hes a lot different. Hes a more withdrawn character with an academic background also hes not a licensed survivor so we can get cosmetics for him unlike tapp. We kinda do have our cutesey Asian character and that's feng min who is getting a bunny outfit anyways so I definitely think this is for the best we get a nerdy academic character.

If you do not understand that well then. Of course there must always be more men and women in all the games, right? There can not be the same amount. For me as a woman it is a lack of respect towards my person that has more choice to have to catch men than to take women. I want the SAME amount, not some more than others.

I have always respected the dead by daylight because its characters always revolve around the history and the map of them. Why have everything changed in this dlc? Why do they do it wrong? There was a balance in numbers of men and women. And even in this game that I loved, there are more men than women as in the other games. I do not mind choosing a man character. But I also want to have the same choice of women. If there are 8 men, I want 8 women.

And what I said about tap, I can say the same thing as Claudette. I do not want to disrespect the origin, nor the color. It is simply a mention that they take characters from other countries but none from the East. Only Feng min, and I sincerely hoped, after the work I've seen with Japanese history, that they would take out a Japanese like the other stories. And that there is a greater number of men of choice also bothers me. It's just my point of view, I do not want anyone to think that I come here to disrespect, even if it seems so.

In the future there might be another asian female or not. I don't see why that is such a big deal as at least there is representation at all. There are other ethnicities that aren't even represented here yet, like Native American, any of the many Hispanic ethnicities such as Mexican, South American, Puerto Rican etc, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.
Also, Tapp was added not because he was black or white or purple but because he was a character they could get rights for from the movie Saw. Adam is the first non-licensed man of color survivor who was actually created by these developers. Tapp may never get personalized skins but Adam sure can.
To the OP who is discouraged to continue playing because they didn't add a Japanese female. You've got bigger problems with Dbd than just the skins. If it's that petty, you're not that invested in the game anyways.

Way different perks and personality (from what we know lore wise), albeit same voice until they actually get rid of all the placeholder sounds for the new killer/survivor....So what could you mean by "** And it's another like tap. **" hmmm....
Btw literally just had a female survivor come out last chapter, and if you read the lore on Adam he moved to Japan to teach, so it still fits in with the chapter's killer location/lore.

Nothing gives you any right to demand. It's the devs' game, not yours. If they feel like creating an imbalance in genders, you have to accept that.
And seriously, if you've got a problem with that, you actually have a different problem and might want to take care of it.

Okay, and I don’t identify as male or female. And there are no non-binary characters. My gender identity is even less represented then the female community. Would I love one, yes. Do I expect it to happen, honestly no.
I sympathize with you in wanting to have equality and inclusion in this game, and I feel it has room to grow and the developers are going to try and achieve that. But there will always be an imbalance in a game where they make updates and add new people. Each time someone new is added, it tips the scale in a different direction.
I’d love more female survivors and killers too. But you’re correct in stating that there can’t be the same amount. I do think that because it’s the horror genre that we have the possibility of having more female survivors eventually simply because in horror culture the concept of a scream queen/final girl is a huge.
Also, when Nea was released, it tipped in the favor of female. Then Feng was released. Then bill, women still being the majority for survivor. Also if you pay attention it tends to be a male and female released as a standard now.
Laurie and Michael, ace and the hag, David and the huntress, Tapp and the Pig, Kate and the clown, Adam and the spirit. All male+female releases.
Nea was released with a lady, and then we got two solo men, bill a survivor and Leatherface a male killer.
Quinten and Freddy throw this off, but that’s kinda because they couldn’t get the rights to Nancy, and thought Quinten would be a more recognizable face since he was one of the two main characters of the newest nightmare on elm street film.
The original survivors were 2 woman and 2 men. The only thing that truly offsets it was that the first three killers were dudes. Well, and Quinten. But that was already covered.
